2. Double Page
Spread
Here I will build a
replica version of
the league table
where I will put
the teams in
what position I
think they will
finish at the end
of the end of the
season
Here is the title for this
page spread
Here I will attempt to edit a
player that I think will win an
award with that award in
their hands
This is where I will
include image
highlights from the
game that’s being
talked about.
In these texts
boxes I will
include details on
the match and
my opinions on
how each team
played.
In the text boxes
on this side I will
write down my
predictions and
explain as to why I
have chosen
these.
3. Proof of Concept: Double page spread
For my proof of concept, I have decided to create a mock-up of what I imagine my Premiere League
double page spread may look like, on the left page I have decided to recap on Premier League games
from the latest weekend and possibly include some player ratings. I feel I maybe have been a little
ambitious with trying to fit in three different recaps, so when it comes to production I will probably
reduce that to two. The concept of having the text and images flipped on every box means that the text
is broken up and doesn’t look like one big block so its clear which bit of text is for which image. The
image will most likely be a high quality image from a highlight of the game that I will alter slightly to
make it more unique. On the right hand side, I will be doing my predictions for the top five teams, the
relegation teams and the various player awards. When giving my table predictions, I will attempt to
create my own table within photoshop to show off what I think will happen in the season. I will then
talk through my selection in my text box to the side of it in further detail. Also on that page, I will
attempt to grab an image of a player I believe will win a certain trophy then attempt to edit the image
by making it look like they are holding the trophy I believe they will win. If I am unable to do this,
instead I will create little custom player profile images in circles with the players I believe will win
awards, then write a list next to it with what award I think they will win. This style of page will relate to
my primary target audience as I believe it will be more likely to attract them towards it with the
standout design and the simple text blocks. No matter whether they are a rival supporter or they
support the same club, they may be interested in what I have to say and I may open their eyes to parts
of the game they haven’t thought about to possibly create a talking point about with their friends.
