2. DELETE THIS SLIDE
• This document is set up for the for general visual
based still image production.
• This document is not exhaustive and you can add
new elements and remove elements that may not
be appropriate for your chosen product type. For
example:
– Moving image- you do not need to do layout plans but
you will need to conduct storyboard and add them to
this document
• Only slides with titles in BLUE can be deleted.
Everything else is necessary for the unit.
3. Style sheet For my color schemes I’m trying to
using a theme of the team that I may
use to show off a certain aspect of
the game. So, say I explain the history
of the game I want to use the oldest
team and use the color scheme of
that team so it all links together.
The two-color schemes on the page
are the main two, the first one is
Jacksonville Jaguar colors as that’s my
team and then you have the oldest
team who are the green bay packers.
So, I don’t really have a whole set
color scheme I’m just going to go with
whatever team/teams fit best into
the double page spread or the front
or back cover.
For the fonts my first idea was to use bold
fonts like the fonts on the back of the 32
teams jerseys. The players names all
stand out and that means the guys who
are commenting on the games can easily
pick up which player made the catch,
interception, fumble or whatever
happened. This ensures mistakes aren’t
made and the player end the games with
the correct stat line
Lucida Fax
Aharoni
Arial Rounded MT Bold
Cooper Black
These 4 fonts all fit into what I am trying
to get across because I want the text to
be easily rad and make sure no doesn’t
understand what the text says or what
I'm trying to get across.
4. Ideas
• I want to try use the same
bold text as NFL teams for the
players jerseys, the text is all
caps and bold as players names
are easily seen meaning
reporters can easily keep the
commentary running instead of
having to stop and start trying
to find which player made the
catch.
The 3 images added with two
jerseys are linking are in to link for
my 2 layout designs for the
magazine. For me based on what I
am writing about on that double
page spread or the front or back
covers.. I don’t think for this type
of magazine having a color
scheme for the whole magazine is
a good idea because the teams
play in their different colors, so I
feel like which ever part of the
game I’m covering at the time use
the team's colors that fit with the
subject on the double page.
5. NFL
The guide to all things NFL
So right now this my the first real idea for my
layout..
The front cover I want to use my team which is
the Jacksonville jaguars so right now having the
players running out and the helmet with NFL
and then The guide to all things NFL
underneath.
6. Layout 2
The history of the National Football
League
Which team is the oldest?
Well that would be the Green Bay
Packers.. Founded in 1919..
Since been founded in 1919 the Packers
have won a total of 13 championships but
have only won 4 super bowls since it
became the Super Bowl.
They are one of the more historic teams
based on been founded but also when it
comes to the number of championships
won by a single franchise.
In recent times the team have reached 4
of the last 7 NFC Championship games
but they have lost all 4 meaning their last
super bowl was 2010 when they won it.
Since 1998 the team have had two of the games
best quarterbacks in Brett Favre and the
currently quarterback Aaron Rodgers.. In 2005
the team drafted Aaron despite the issues with
Brett still been the quarterback..
8. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
When it comes to taking new photos or videos
technical faults may occur with camera
Have back up options with me at the site of
filming.
Whether that be a phone, spare camera or
iPad
Locations that are first choice may end up busy
and due to the ongoing pandemic a risk to
enter. .
Have multiple locations that would still create
the same effect you want to give off in the
magazine
9. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Location of getting new footage- if inside.
Tripping overs wires, items left on the floor..
May lead to an injury
Make sure the area is clear before filming as
injuries will affect filming and that means falling
behind on the project.
Location if outside- may fall into a rabbit hole
or be hit by something playing a game or
people get into your shots..
Make sure you are aware of your
surroundings.. Eg. Rabbit holes, kids playing
games (ball games)
Editor's Notes
Explore colours, fonts and image styles similar to what you want to produce. Discuss all three elements in relation to why you chose them and where you may use them in your project. Go over as many pages as you need to
