3. Treatment
• Colours: I plan to make my Magazine unisex so both Men and
women would be able to buy my product; I would be able to do this
by using unisex colours like Reds, light blues and greens.
• Fonts: I plan to use more of a clean font so it would look more
professional, how ever I can use more of an unclean looking font to
attract more of a male audience, this is because it will look more
grimey and seem like its based for a more hard-core rap genre.
• Cover story:I plan to make my cover story based on the artist on the
front cover, depending on the artists I will change the story i.e. male
or female star.
• Images:Images I plan to use are: a cover star, maybe some kind of
competition ‘sticker’ to go on the front page, which could pique
some interest.
4. Research into fonts
• I have researched into some fonts that I may use from
‘dafont.com’
• http://www.dafont.com/slant.font I have chosen this because
of the sharp modern looking typography of it and looks as
though it would be of interest of a younger audience.
• http://www.dafont.com/code.font I have chosen this font
because of the professional sleekness and simplicity of it.
• http://www.dafont.com/neon-club-music.font I chose this as
a bit of a wild card and that it looks like it links in with music,
specifically EDM (electronic dance music)
• These are a few choices of font that I have chosen, but I may
change my choices in the near future.
6. Mock up 1
This mock up has not been done to
accurately represent how my magazine
will look like.
I have not made my final logo design.
The silhouette is to represent the
model that I will be using.
The word ‘Control’ is supposed to have
a play button as the letter ‘R’ however
this mock up doesn’t accurately
present my ideas and I will create a
more accurate version later on.
7. Mock up 2
This version of my front page mock up
is a more accurate depiction of what I
want my magazine to look like, I have
taken a picture of a celebrity. I may stick
with this colour scheme that I have used
in this mock up but may chose to
change it.
I am happy with the look of the font for
the title but I may change the font for
the writing on the page.
8. Mock up of contents page
My mock up of my contents page is a
accurate show of how I would like my
Contents to look like.
I have designed my page after doing
some research and was inspired by a
page that I came across.
I am content with the colour scheme
and the look and layout of this page.
It looks clean and professional and
make the subtitles stand out.
13. Audience feedback
• Front cover:- Needs change of font
- Star shouldn’t be full body
- Good conversion
- Needs to have more on it
• Contents: - Good clean layout
- Consistent
- needs a bit more
• Double page spread: -Good clean
- Page 4 matches page 5
- Colours should be brighter on page 5
