There are 5
kingdoms:
Plants
Animals
Fungi
Protist
Bacteria
Kingdom 1
Animals
Animals
The animal kingdom is split up into 2 groups vertebrates (have a backbone) and
invertebrates (do not have a backbone).
Vertebrates have 5 groups:
1. Mammals
2. Reptiles
3. Amphibians
4. Birds
5. Fish
Mammals
A warm-blooded vertebrate animal of a class
distinguished by the possession of hair or fur,the
secretion of milk by females for nourishment of the
young, and the birth of live young.
Reptiles
Reptiles are cold-blooded vertebrates. They lay
eggs and are usually covered in scales. Some
examples include snakes, alligators, lizards, and
turtles. Some are venomous and some are not.
The way you know that they are not venomous,
they’ll have a circular pupil like a human. If they
are venomous, they will have a slit pupil like a cat.
Amphibians
A Cold-blooded vertebrate animal of a class that comprises the newts, frogs, toads,
and salamanders. They are distinguished by having an aquatic gill-breathing larval
stage followed by a terrestrial lung-breathing adult stage.
Birds
A warm-blooded egg-laying vertebrate distinguished by the possession of
feathers, wings, and a beak and being able to fly.
Bugs
A bug is a non-vertebrate so it has no backbone. The same thing goes with worms.
A limbless cold-blooded vertebrate animal with gills and fins and living wholly in
water.Fish live in a group people call schools.
Kingdom 2
Plants
Plants
Plants are divided into 2 groups vascular and nonvascular.A vascular plant is a
plant that characterizes by the presence of conducting tissue.A nonvascular is any
of various plants that lack vascular tissue. On your left is a vascular plant. And on
your right is a nonvascular plant.
Kingdom 3
Fungi
Fungi
The fungi kingdom
holds 3
things:mushrooms,
yeast,and
mold.
Kingdom 4
protist
Protists
A protist (protista) in a microscopic organism. They do not join
together and form anything else. But they do group for convenience.
Kingdom 5
Bacteria
Bacteria
Bacteria are microorganisms. They can come in lots of different shapes. There are
about forty billion cells of bacteria in one grain of soil. This image is giving detail
about a single bacteria cell. Can you imagine how small they are?
