The five Kingdoms of life are:

3. Plants
There are many different kinds of plants. There are
annuals, biennials, perennials, gymnosperms, and
angiosperms.
Annuals are plants that live for one year.
Biennials are plants that live for two years.
Perennials are plants that live for more than two years.
Gymnosperms are plants that produce seeds.
Angiosperms are plants that produce flowers.

There are two main types of animals.
There are vertebrates ( Animals with
backbones ) and invertebrates
(animals without backbones).

use chlorophyll. They usually
like dark and damp places such
as forest floors or basements.

Monera are blue-green algae
and bacteria. They are the
only organisms with cells that
do not have nuclei and
organelles.

Protista are singe-celled organisms. They
have nuclei and organelles in their cell’s
cytoplasm. Protista grow and reproduce in
moist areas. There are two main types of
protista which are plant-like protista and
animal-like protista.

22. Like plants, these type of
protista have chlorophyll.
Plant-like protista produce
most of the world’s oxygen!
They are an important part
in plankton and other
microscopic things in the
sea. Some plant-like
protista are able to move
such as Euglena and
dinoflagellates.

23. Animal-like protista are called
Protozoa. Some Protozoa have
cillia (hair-like structures) sticking
out of their cells. Protozoa are
classified by the way they move.
