This document summarizes research on enhancing the stability of permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) based wind turbines during grid faults through an improved control strategy. It presents simulation results showing that a DC chopper circuit can help regulate the DC link voltage and reduce current oscillations during symmetrical and asymmetrical grid faults. The control strategy aims to improve damping, reduce fluctuations from generator variables, and make the system less sensitive to grid parameter changes or faults.
