What is
pronoun?
A pronoun is defined as a word or phrase that is used as a
substitution for a noun or noun phrase.
What are the examples of
pronoun?
I, me, he, she, herself, you, it, that, they, each, few, many, who,
whoever, whose, someone, everybody, etc.

Reflexive Pronoun
o Adds information to a sentence by pointing back to a noun or
pronoun earlier in the sentence
o Used to show that the doer of an action is also the direct object,
the indirect object or the object of the preposition
o Ends in -self or –selves
NOTE: A reflexive pronoun always adds information to a sentence.
It cannot be left out without changing the meaning of the sentence.

Intensive Pronoun
o Simply adds emphasis to a noun or pronoun in the same sentence
o Ends in -self or -selves
o Usually, an intensive pronoun usually appears right after the noun or
pronoun they are emphasizing; thus, it functions as an appositive.
o Sometimes, however, an intensive pronoun is located in another part
of the sentence like in the third example.
NOTE: It emphasizes its antecedent but does not add information to a
sentence. If an intensive pronoun is removed, the sentence will still
have the same meaning.
