2. Process
• I took inspiration from the Dementors from the Harry Potter
series and Nazgul from the Lord of the Rings series this was
quite difficult to make as I got an outline of someone doing
the same pose and took the torso and drew the draping cloak
around it and before this I had deleted the ends of the arms to
add the gloves and the sword without anything looking wrong
and then I also decided to redraw the arms and their drapes
by bringing the arms up higher than they were which in the
end screwed up the bracers and made the bracer disconnect
from the arms and then the fingers covered by the gloves
were disastrous when being drawn, and the the sword is
alright but you can see that I was getting lazy at the end with
the sword end being off of centre by quite a lot, but the tools I
used to make this piece was the pencil I was a bit boring and
stayed with the say size of pencil marking, I also used the
rubber quite a lot as to try and correct some of the issues I
have mentioned, I was also pretty lazy with the colouring
scheme as shown by the use of the paint bucket tool and as
you can probably see there are a few places that I had missed
with the tool one of the pieces I meant to leave out now I look
at it again there are two pixels and a massive gap next to the
sword all the other gaps are intentional and that’s it really I
just drew it and then coloured it in. This design was also
helped along by the responses from my questionnaire which
suggested in some ways and more than once it proved that
the audience wanted some sort of action related character
and so I did that and then added a little spin and gave it a bit
of mystery as you can not see the face and it seems to be
some sort of spectre so it mixes in with one of the other things
from my questionnaire which was the genre of horror I believe
is in the genre or at the very least slightly related to the
subject.
3. Process 2
I got inspiration for this piece by another two
things. Marvels The Punisher series and then
there was the headless horseman tale which I
tried to bring into a more modern setting. I
created this by getting a picture taken with
someone in an open reefer and a plain shirt
underneath it I traced the clothes and then
added personal design such as the punisher
logo and the scarf and the cloth tied to his arm
I also gave him a pumpkin head as that would
conform to what the legends say bout the
headless horseman and at the top of that I
made the stalk which as a bad idea I decided
to separate where the colours would change
and in the end in this drawing it ended up
looking better because of that.
5. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– Well I like the design of both of the designs but
really the colouring let it down however on the
first one I could fix one thing in the design which
was to create more mystery maybe add a red mist
in the cloak and maybe give it a dark aura or
something of the sort. For the things I would like
to keep would be the design as one is made for
action and horror and the other was made just for
the horror part and
