Why does thatinterest you? It allows me to create more contentbase around
my own idea whilst expandingon my skills in
animation. By keeping my projects based arounda
specific story I can build upmy writing alongside
my animationfor my Creative Portfolio.

you?
Itsclose relation to work that I havedone in my
own time makesit feel more personal.
Additionally, I feel that it is importantas a means
of creating a developed portfolio, which displays a
range of skills.
Outline someof the initial influences onyour
idea/work and somepotential research targets
(remember, research isn’t justa paper-based
activity)
Mostof my influences include existing animated
productssuchas ‘Jojo’sBizarre Adventure’ and
‘Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood’. However,
other influence include existing locationsincluding
Alcatraz, The Coliseum, etc, which I can
incorporateinto my work as settings. Booksand
magazinesthat give ideas as to howto animate in
certain ways as well as what software and
hardware to use influence the starting pointsof
my work.
What skillsdo youhave now thatcan help you
with that?
Throughmy first year FMP I havebeen able to
gain a better understandingof howto use
PhotoshopandPremiereto their fullest.
Additionally, my artistic skillsand ability to create
smoothanimationshasimprovedgreatly, allowing
me to experiment more with what I create.
What skillsdo youneed to gain duringyourother
2nd
year projects to help youmake a better FMP
next year.
Makingmy own songsto back up my visuals
would allow me to expand my range of skills. This
could involvemixing audioor makingsongsfrom
scratch. By doing this, I could create audio
specifically tailored to my visuals, which are
therefore more fitting. Additionally, this skill
would look goodfor my portfolio.
What haveyoulearned this year that will help you
next year?
I havelearned how tobetter usePhotoshopand
Premiere to bothcreate and edit my work. My
understandingofhow to use frames to create
smoothanimationshasimprovedgreatly over the
course of the first year. The improvementcanbe
seen between the three animationprojects thatI
created, with my first one’sproductionbeing the
mostbasic and achievinga merit, my secondone
havinga distinctionfor the productionandmy
FMP’sbeingon course for one as well.

It allows me to create more contentbase around my own idea whilst expandingon my skills in animation. Itsclose relation to work that I havedone in my own time makesit feel more personal. Additionally, I feel that it is importantas a means of creating a developed portfolio, which displays a range of skills. Outline someof the initial influences onyour idea/work and somepotential research targets (remember, research isn’t justa paper-based activity) Mostof my influences include existing animated productssuchas ‘Jojo’sBizarre Adventure’ and ‘Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood’. However, other influence include existing locationsincluding Alcatraz, The Coliseum, etc, which I can incorporateinto my work as settings. Booksand magazinesthat give ideas as to howto animate in certain ways as well as what software and hardware to use influence the starting pointsof my work. What skillsdo youhave now thatcan help you with that? Throughmy first year FMP I havebeen able to gain a better understandingof howto use PhotoshopandPremiereto their fullest. Additionally, my artistic skillsand ability to create smoothanimationshasimprovedgreatly, allowing me to experiment more with what I create. What skillsdo youneed to gain duringyourother 2nd year projects to help youmake a better FMP next year. Makingmy own songsto back up my visuals would allow me to expand my range of skills. This could involvemixing audioor makingsongsfrom scratch. By doing this, I could create audio specifically tailored to my visuals, which are therefore more fitting. Additionally, this skill would look goodfor my portfolio. What haveyoulearned this year that will help you next year? I havelearned how tobetter usePhotoshopand Premiere to bothcreate and edit my work. My understandingofhow to use frames to create smoothanimationshasimprovedgreatly over the course of the first year.
