1. Tell me in no more than20 words, what is your
FMP idea?
A documentary piece revolvingarounda Hip Hop
artist featuring a variety of visualeffects
Why have youdecided to makeit? I havedecided tomake this as it is a subject I am
passionateabout. Alsowill be a
continuation/reconstructionofa previousproduct
from scratch.
What aboutyourproject makesit importantto
you?
This project is importanttome as I have been
involvedwith the music scene in my area and
would like to documentanotherartists journey. It
will also help me give somethingback tothe
community.
Outline someof the initial influences onyour
idea/work and somepotential research targets
(remember, research isn’t justa paperbased
activity)
A major influence to my piece will be “Spit Gold
UnderAn Empire” by Emily Kai Brock. This is due
to its effect that it has onthe audience by being
hard hittingand raw feeling. I donot want to
replicate this piece in anyway however the toneof
the piece is somethingthatI would like to
experiment with.
Another influence of thisproject wouldbe a
previousmusic related project I created called
Rap Out. This was a project which I wanted to lead
along a similar direction however ended quite
differently; beinga collection of foundfootage
insteadof an insightfulprofile on a person. From
this, I have learned what direction I would like to
take thisnew project now that I have more time,
knowledge andexperience to do so.
What effect do youwant to haveon your
audience when they see yourproject?
I would like the audience to b inspired tobe part
of somethingthat they believe in andchase their
dreamsas this is what the piece will be about.
Describe the tone/mood/styleofyourproject
[which productiontechniques/characteristicsare
youemploying?]
The tone of the piece will reflect tense emotion
andstorytelling. I would like to create a product
thatmy target audience can find relatable, as the
story thatI am attemptingto tell reflects a
journey of struggleand testing atmospheres.

this style?
I believe thatthis styleis perfect for the piece I am
going tocreate as the story I am telling is a true
story of humanrelationshipsanddreaming big,
which everybody can relate to.
