1. New Delhi: The President of India, Shri
Pranab Mukherjee presented the
National Awards for Outstanding
Services in the field of Prevention of
Alcoholism and Substance (Drugs)
Abuse today (June 26, 2016) in New
Delhi on the occasion of
International Day against Drug
Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
Speaking on the occasion, the
President congratulated the recipi-
ents of the awards for their outstand-
ing contributions in field of prevention
of alcoholism and substance abuse.
He told the award winners not to
remain complacent and to continue
with efforts for eradicating the twin men-
ace. The President said the two vices
have caused havoc in the
social life of our
country as well as
across the world.
He complimented
the Ministry of
Social Justice and
Empowerment for
its initiatives and
stressed the need
for civil society
and NGOs to work
closely with the
Government in
eradicating the
menace.
The President
also said many
studies have
established that
terrorism, smug-
gling and drug
activities are co-
related. Unless these link-
ages are broken, it will
be very difficult to
fight all three.
Among the digni-
taries present on
the occasion were
Shri Thaawar
Chand Gehlot,
Union Minister of
Social Justice and
Empowerment and
Shri Krishan Pal
Gurjar as well as
Shri Vijay Sampla,
Ministers of State for

In today modern world tech-
nology has became the
prime basis for everything,
we can’t even imagine our
lives without technology.
And this is the part where
we are indulging ourselves
more into it either to held
out its benefits or to invent-
ing something more out of
it. Each and everything has
its pros and cons but it
depends entirely on people
how they are taking and
using it. Discovery of inter-
net was and is one of the
most successful and useful
invention of all times but
with internet, now, we can
relate it with the phrase ‘too
much of a good thing.’
Virtual life is nowadays so
easy to build up it has its
usefulness too but, In this
modern era real life is taken
up by virtual one.And this
doesn’t include any particu-
lar age group.Well mostly
the new generation is falling
prey for it but we can see
the middle aged people
also is more interested in
their virtual life rather than
the real life. Virtual life is
getting upper hand in peo-
ple’s lives than real life. A
huge percentage of people
are 10 a.m. addicted i.e.
Before even brushing their
teeth they check their
phones whereas they actu-
ally be working on their
health and diet in the morn-
ing.
From the beginning of the
day virtual life gets activat-
ed rather than the real
life.Instead of switching off
their wifi and 3g connec-
tions at their homes and
workplaces and actually
making some connections
with real people in their
lives they are more con-
nected at different social
networking sites. People
have to know that it is not at
all necessary to be on
every social networking
sites present at the time.
That being only activated at
every social site and not
actually doing anything in
real life won’t lead them to
anywhere. Virtual life
should not be your lifestyle
it should be a part of your
lifestyle. Virtual life some-
how leads you away from
your real life and without
knowing it you become a
virtual addict person.
These lives can run parallel
but a proper balance is
necessary so that you can
take benefits of both the
lives.
Real life VS Virtual life Mayank Puri
On US backing for India NSG (Nuclear Supplier Group) bid
China says that door is open for discussion related to this
issue but took a swipe at US for backing India. Chinese foreign
minister Hua Chunying said that there country did not target
anyone. They are not against with anyone, India or Pakistan.
They have just asked 48 member to stay focused on it weath-
er the criteria has been changed on the entry of non-NPT
(Non-Proliferation Treaty) countries. On US backing for India
Hua Chunying said that they care about the rules, US made
the rules that non-NPT countries should not join the nuclear
supplier group, as there is no issue related to Non-Proliferation
Treaty between India and China. According to Hua chunying
entry of new member is not the agenda in a meeting. China
was asking from the Nuclear Trading club for the support of
India application. The member of Nuclear Supplier Group were
allowed to trade and can export the nuclear technology, so
membership will help India to expand its atomic energy sector.
If it is done with majority than except China, New Zealand,
South Africa and Turkey were not with India to join the Nuclear
Supplier Group. The NPT (Non- Proliferation Treaty) is not
essential for joining the Nuclear supplier group, after submit-
ting application for membership by India, Pakistan also applied
after a week for this. Hua chunying when talking to Indian
media says while talking about Nuclear supplier group, the
admission of new member were not listed in current meeting in
Seoul (Capital of South Korea). India’s external affair minister
Sushma Swaraj wants that the application of each country
should be considered on the basis of merits, as India is confi-
dent that they will be a membership in Nuclear supplier Group
this year. The Nuclear Supplier Group were still divided over
admitting India and it was not an issue to talk about it right now.
S.jaishankar, the
foreign secretary visited to china to discuss about the Nuclear
Supplier Group membership with his Chinese counterpart.

Doors open fordiscussion forIndia about NSD
Neelakshi Chawla
INDIA is a secular country. Here, people
are diversified on the basis of caste, reli-
gion, color, customs and traditions. In coun-
try like India we are diversified but united by
our choices. As we all know man is actual-
ly judged by the qualities he has and the
qualities he chooses to be with. Oneof the
best examples is FOOD.
In India we have three categories of foody
people. The first one are The Vegetarians,
the second ones are The Non vegetarians.
And the third and the most famous ones
The T.T.S. ie the people who are only veg-
etarians in Tuesdays, Thursdays and
Saturdays, the other four days they are non
vegetarians.
According to 2007, UN FAO statistics,
Indians had the lowest rate of meat con-
sumption in the world. Our great grand
fathers and fore fathers still agrees to main-
tain on vegetarians parameters. It can be
because there thinking capacities are
restricted to the localize practices of that
time, or it may be beneficial to us and of
course to the animals of the planet. The
reasons can be as many as the theories
say. Most restaurants in India clearly distin-
guish and market themselves as being
either "nonvegetarian", "vegetarian", or
"pure vegetarian". Vegetarian restaurants
abound, usually, many vegetarian options
are available. Animalbased ingredients
(other than milk and honey) such as lard,
gelatin, and meat stock are not used in the
traditional cuisine. India has
devised a system of marking edible prod-
ucts made from only vegetarian ingredi-
ents, with a green dot in a green square. A
mark of a brown dot in a brown square con-
veys that some animalbased ingredients
were used. Products like honey, milk, or its
direct derivatives are often categorized
under the green mark. Now in India it is
mandatory to put the sign of veg or non veg
in every edible item. Sometimes we really
wonder who are the makers of these cate-
gories? According to the 2006 HinduCNN-
IBN State of the Nation Survey, 31% of
Indians are 'vegetarian', while another 9%
also consume eggs (ovovegetarian or
eggetarians these days). Among the vari-
ous communities, vegetarianism was most
common among the Lingayat, Vaishnavs
Community, Jain community and then
Brahmins. These covers around 55 percent
of that time. And less frequent among
Muslims (3%) and residents of coastal
states. Other surveys cited by FAO and
USDA estimate 40% of the Indian popula-
tion as being vegetarian. These surveys
indicate that even Indian’s who do eat
meat, do so infrequently, with less than
30% consuming it regularly, although the
reasons are mainly cultural. In states where
vegetarianism is more common, milk con-
sumption is higher and is associated with
lactase persistence. This allows people to
continue consuming milk into adulthood
and obtain proteins that are substituted for
meat, fish and eggs in other areas. The
recent growth in India's organized retail has
also been hit by some controversies. The
recent census of Zee news telecasted on
9/06/2016, DNA news show says it to be
around 70 percent. They say today India
has around 70% of non vegetarians, which
is seriously a matter of questioning as the
scale is upside down in last 8 years. It has
been changing trend turmoil in the culture
and traditions of people. It’s clear now that
India is changing not in technology sector
but also in food traditions. All thanks to the
modern approach of westernized era.
Vegitarianism:Achange in trend and approch
The ongoing tussle between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)
government and BJP at the centre was followed with a
new scam. Recently, AAP was attacked over the appoint-
ment of 21 MLAs as parliamentary secretaries, there
after they trained its guns at the Bharatiya Janata Party
(BJP) for shielding former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila
Dikshit over the alleged 400 crore water tanker scam. A
political war of words erupted soon after between the
BJP and AAP. Both traded charges of trying to cover up
the scam.
AAP leader Dilip Pandey accused BJP of being an ally of
the Congress Party. Three days after the AAP govern-
ment announced it had sent the report of a fact-finding
committee on water tankers distribution management
systems scam to the Lieutenant Governor and the
Centre, so the report has been forwarded to the Anti-
Corruption Branch (ACB) for investigation. Trouble
mounted for the former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila
Dikshit when a report of a fact-finding panel on the
alleged 400-crore water tanker scam linking her, was
forwarded to anti-graft agency Anti-Corruption Branch
(ACB) by Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung for further
investigation. The report by a committee of the Delhi Jal
Board was sent to Jung by the AAP government for
probe by either CBI or Delhi’s ACB following persistent
demand by the city BJP leader Vijender Gupta. Jung
has also forwarded to ACB a complaint filed with him by
Gupta accusing Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of “sup-
pressing” the committee’s report into the tanker scam for
11 months.

At least 35 people were killed and 21 others injured when
a tourist bus burst into flames after crashing into the side
of a road in central China on Sunday.
The accident happened in Hunan province when the bus
carrying 56 people crashed into the guardrails on a high-
way.
The ensuing oil leak may have caused the fire, the coun-
ty government said.
Twenty-one people have been hospitalized and rescuers

US: The death toll from flooding in the US
state of West Virginia rose to 24, as
President Barack Obama declared a
major disaster, releasing federal aid for
some of the hardest-hit areas. The presi-
dent “ordered federal aid to supplement
state and local recovery efforts in the area
affected by severe storms, flooding, land-
slides and mudslides,” the White House
said in a statement.
Days of heavy rain have caused massive
flooding in the state, where high waters
have washed away cars, trapped hun-
dreds and cut power to large areas.
More than 21,300 people were without
power across the state Saturday evening
according to the West Virginia Division of
Homeland Security and Emergency
Management.
Hundreds of homes had been severely
damaged or destroyed and more than 60
roads remained closed, it said.
Photos on the division`s Facebook page
showed a muddy, swollen river in the
West Virginia town of Clendenin that had
spilled over its banks and inundated a
nearby neighborhood with floodwater.
Obama`s disaster declaration makes fed-
eral funding available to Greenbrier,
Kanawha and Nicholas counties.
The latest fatality from the flooding was
reported Saturday in Greenbrier County,
bringing the overall tally to 24 people
dead, state spokeswoman Jessica Tice
told AFP.
Among the dead was an eight-year-old
boy who was swept away while walking
along a creek bank with his mother and
sister, local news station WSAZ reported.
His body was found after three hours of
searching.
West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin
said Saturday he expected 400 National
Guard members to be deployed during
the day to assist local emergency respon-
ders in their relief efforts.
He said that support from the Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
that was released under the disaster dec-
laration would “provide much needed
assistance to severely impacted regions”.

Iraqi forces have fully liber-
ated Fallujah city, recaptur-
ing the final remaining dis-
trict.
“We announce from this
place in central Golan dis-
trict that it has been
cleaned by the counter-ter-
rorism service and we con-
vey the good news to the
Iraqi people that the battle
of Falluja is over,”
Lieutenant General Abdul
Wahab al-Saidi told state
TV.
Iraqi forces entered the
northwestern al-Julan
neighbourhood, the final
area under ISIS control, on
Sunday.
Sunday’s victory ends a
month-long campaign to
liberate the city from
Islamic State militants.
Al- Saidi, the commander
of the liberation of Falluja
operations, announced the
city was liberated Sunday
after recapturing the neigh-
borhood of al-Jolan from
ISIS.
Standing in the al-Jolan
neighborhood, he said this
was the last area of Falluja
that ISIS had control of.
Over 1,800 ISIS militants
were killed during the mili-
tary operations by the Iraqi
forces to recapture the city
and villages surrounding it,
al-Saadi told al-Iraqiya TV.
“We announce from the
central al-Jolan neighbor-
hood that this neighbor-
hood has been cleaned by
the counterterrorism and
federal police forces,” he
said.

Sixteen Taliban militants were killed in a
US drone attack in Afghanistan’s Kunduz
province, a military statement said on
Sunday.
“A senior Taliban leader named Mullah
Jannat Gul along with 15 of his men were
killed after a drone struck two vehicles
along a road in Quash Tipa, Chahar Dara
district on Saturday night,” said the state-
ment issued by the Afghan army`s
Division 20 Pamir stationed in the region.
The insurgents tried to relocate but the
struck came after a tip-off confirmed the
movement of the militants, Xinhua news
agency reported citing the statement as
saying.

Some 60 percent of
Londoners voted to stay in
the EU in Thursday’s his-
toric referendum, but the
rest of the country cast their
ballots overwhelmingly to
leave. And the capital’s 8.6
million residents, whose
GDP is about the same as
that of oil-rich Norway, are
anxious about the impact on
the city’s economy.
The fear is that London will
no longer be able to claim to
serve as the gateway for US
and Asian businesses into
Europe’s vast single mar-
ket. “Some firms that saw
London as a platform for
serving the integrated EU
market will relocate at least
part of their headquarters’
functions to other cities
within the EU,” said Greg
Clark of the Brookings
Institution. A first bank, US
giant JPMorgan which
employs around 16,000
staff in the United Kingdom,
said Friday that it “may
need to make changes to
our European legal entity
structure and the location of
some roles”.
It gave no figures, but chair-
man and chief executive
Jamie Dimon previously
said that up to 4,000 jobs
could move out of the UK.
According to ratings agency
Standard and Poor’s, a fifth
of all global banking activity
takes place in London.
A haemorrhaging of
bankers would hit the city:
the financial sector provides
one in three jobs, or some
1.25 million.
Services overall represent
85 percent of jobs, having
completely supplanted
manufacturing which histor-
ically was the driving force
of the capital.

“Although we will be outside
the EU, it is crucial that we
remain part of the single
market,” pro-EU London
Mayor Sadiq Khan said. “It
is crucial that London has a
voice at the table during
those renegotiations,”
added the Labour mayor,
who took over in May from
Conservative Boris Johnson
— who went on to spear-
head the “Leave” camp.

Pakistan, Afghanistan to set up bilater-
al mechanism to address border issues
Pakistan and Afghanistan will set up a high-level bilateral
mechanism to coordinate on security issues and amicably
address border-related matters, officials said, days after
violent border clashes left casualties on both sides.
The decision was taken during a meeting between
Pakistan Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj
Aziz and Afghan Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani on
the sidelines of a Shanghai Cooperation Organisation
(SCO) Summit in Tashkent.

New Delhi : Just like the monsoon
waves, Hallyu waves have also entered
the Delhi city. The Hallyu waves (K-
POP) which were earlier assumed to be
popular only in the North Eastern part of
India have slowly gained momentum in
the heart of Delhiities and also in many
other states of our country. For Indians,
Psy and his iconic Gangnam Style made
this genre so popular, that even in the
weddings we can see people grooving to
the beats of the Gangnam Style.
Looking at thecraze for K-POP in India,
the Korean Culture Center, had organ-
ized the 5th edition of “K-POP CON-
TEST” at Korean Cultural Centre, Lajpat
Nagar. The auditions in India began with
Delhi Auditions. The contest which start-
ed as a small event in the capital back in
2012 has now gone National with partic-
ipation from all over the country. The first
K-pop performance in India wasdone by
N-Sonic in 2014, after which the craze
for K-POP in India went on increasing
per diem. We had more than 70 selected
participants from Delhi round and the
hall with the seating capacity of 500
audiences was over crowed.
This year the contest has been organ-
ized in 7 regions namely Delhi, Kolkata,
Mumbai, Patna, Bengaluru, Chennai
and Sikkim.
The judges’ panel included- Kim Kum
Pyoung – Director Korean Cultural
Centre, India, Byungsun Lee - Director,
Korea Tourism Organization, Namkyu
Kim - General Manager, Korea
International Trade Organization,
Hyosun Choi - General Manager, LG
electronics.
Judge Byungsun Lee said that “looking
at such a pleasant response from the
Delhi crowd, I was completely amazed
as I have heard that in India the maxi-
mum love for K-POP can be seen in
north-eastern parts. But looking at such
an enthusiastic crowd I can say for sure
that the Hallyu waves had made their
way into the heart of Delhi people.”
Kim Kum Pyoung, director of Korean
Cultural Centre India, “Participation this
year was huge. The hard work of partic-
ipants was seen in this competition.
Selecting the finalist was toughest job.
Now, we can truly say that K-POP has
made its place in the Indian Heart.”
Dinesh and Aditya from Flo Fist Crew
were participating for the 2nd time. They
found the competition tougher than last
year. Their Dream is to perform with BTS
Band (Famous Korean Band).
Abhishek from Kapil from Evolution
Crew are trained dancers and have
worked on Hip Hop. Bollywood,
Popping, Western and Indian Folk
dance.
Tsering Palzom from Girl Crush Crew
said that she is following K-POP dance
from 2008. After seeing the video of K-
POP dance over net, she fell in love with
K-POP. Their group consists of 5 mem-
bers, all crazy for K-POP. They are also
huge fan of BTS Group and JJCC band.
The contest officially took off in May
2016 with its online audition, which was
judged by celebrity judges JJCC’s (Jacki
Chain Group) Eddy and Simba.

the opening chords of their

It said the riff that Led

taking from Spirit’s 1967

Stairway’s opening, the

But it said that Led

“Taurus”. “Stairway to

*He used many ministers name by invit-
ing them to seminar and workshops.
* He has opened a illegal and unautho-
rised office in J P Nagar without any prior
permission from DPAR and Government
of karnataka.
How he fooled colleges,doctors, students
and common public.
Modus Operandi.
A chairman of Aries Education trust of
chennai, said in his complaint that in the
month of January they approached by
sending a mail to make us believe that
this mail is sent from national office
runned by central government so they
used to attach other college email
address forwarded by them and after
receiving a mail I called to the respective
number given in the email and after
speaking through phone they said we will
come and meet in person and discuss
about our organisation so for that I
agreed to meet them in person and in
few days their office bearers as,
Shivakumar and mahesh came in per-
son with the hard copies of E-Gazette
and by seeing the same I had some
doubts and it was clarified by their asso-
ciates through phone they called their
National Office Incharge officer Boez
babu and more doubts were clarified by
Santhosh Lohar who introduced himself
as vice chancellor of the Commission or
organisation and to go further I discussed
the same with my lawyer then I further
proceeded to apply for the college to get
approval then they asked me to pay
Rs.10.5 lakhs through RTGS to our
BEGC, university account after receiving
the amount they communicated through
email that we will be inspecting your site
for the proposed colleges . Then they
came in person for inspection and
inspection was conducted by Boaz
babu along with Chandrashekar,
Shivakumar, Reejesh, Subrotho Das
and mahesh, after completing the
inspection in next 2-3 days they called
me to submit the pending documents to
complete the further formalities to get
approval from the committee so I came
to Bengaluru to submit the documents
and I had interaction with the other
office bearer before applying for it and
after applying for it.
In the month of February they communi-
cated through email sending a approval
copy that committee has approved and
so we request you to remit the remain-
ing balance to our organisation for this I
said them that I need 15 days of time to
remit the remaining balance as I have
applied a loan so for that they said
atleast you remit Rs.27.9 lakhs for this I
said I will remit in 10 days and the same
payment was paid in the month of
March through RTGS, to the BEGC
Bank Account, then I received a initial
approval certificate by email and I
made the remaining payment in the
month of April by demand draft for
Rs.40 lakhs in favour of GVHM- Global
Village Health Mission.
Then we started infrastructure in our
colleges, and I was demanding them to
send details as, syllabus, Lab
Equipments,Faculty requirement they
started avoiding my calls they even
annoyed me and in the month of April a
news appeared in newspaper that the
so called BEGC,is a fake commission,
which is fooling doctors,colleges, stu-
dents and common public and after get-
ting doubt on the commission I started
enquiring them they started giving me
reasons by avoiding my calls and may
5th a news appeared in many news
channels and newspapers that a chair-
man of Bio-Chemic Education Grant
Commission, Shyamul Dutta has been
arrested by Delhi CID police and by
seeing the news I immediately rushed
to Bengaluru J P Nagar Office and was
shocked to see the office was closed
and the office bearers and santhosh
Lohar started avoiding my calls and
gave false commitment to settle the
amount by conducting a meeting so
getting doubt on the santhosh Lohar,
Boaz babu,Chandrashekar alias

has cheated him for the tune of

Commissioner Narendra Hollkar, sen-
ior IMV Kariyappa of RTO got
removed two months ago for using
beacon and fined for misusing the
government logos. The retired IAS offi-
cer who was working was unaware of
his dubious character.
