Financial Market Of The Gcc ( Gulf Cooperation Council )
In July of 2014, the most important events of in the history of financial market in the GCC (Gulf
Cooperation Council) has been announced. Saudi Arabia has approved to open its equity market to
direct foreign investment and CMA has drafted rules for Qualified Foreign Institutions. Its equity
market (Tadawul) valued around USD 530 billion and which will open an opportunity for the largest
global investment funds to inject their funds into one of the most lucrative emerging markets.
However, once the announcement hit the news, Tadawul market index hit the 10,000 point for the first
time in six years as the market react with optimism over the news. The Saudi Stock market was
limited to Saudi and GCC investors only and for those outside of the region, their only way of
investing is through swaps and mutual funds (Butt, 2014). However, different institutional investors
either in the region or globally has received the news with optimism for long awaited golden
opportunity as the biggest economy in middle east has opened its door to qualified institutional
investors. Bassel Khatoun, the head of MENA equities at Franklin Templeton Investments said As the
largest equity market in the Middle East and North Africa, this will certainly put the region back on
international investors radar and is likely to be transformative for regional equities, Also some analysts
thinks that Saudi Arabia could be similar to China s qualified foreign institutional investor plan when

Automated Guided Vehicle Or Automatic Guided Vehicles
Automated Guidance
An automated guided vehicle or automatic guided vehicle (AGV) is essentially a vehicle that follows
markers or wires in the floor, or uses vision, magnets, or lasers for navigation. They are most often
used in industrial applications to move materials around a manufacturing facility or warehouse.
Application of the automatic guided vehicle has broadened during the late 20th century.
The AGV can tow objects behind them in trailers to which they can autonomously attach. The trailers
can be used to move raw materials or finished product. The AGV can also store objects on a bed. The
objects can be placed on a set of motorized rollers (conveyor) and then pushed off by reversing them.
AGVs are employed in nearly every industry, including, pulp, paper, metals, newspaper, and general
manufacturing. Transporting materials such as food, linen or medicine in hospitals is also done.
An AGV can also be called a laser guided vehicle (LGV). Lower cost versions of AGVs are often
called Automated Guided Carts (AGCs) and are usually guided by magnetic tape. AGCs are available
in a variety of models and can be used to move products on an assembly line, transport goods
throughout a plant or warehouse, and deliver loads.
Over the years, the technology has become more sophisticated, this technology can be suitably
adapted for cars on the streets. In an automated process, AGVs are programmed to communicate with
other cars on the street to ensure it is moving smoothly. Today, the

Essay on the Miraculous Day of Amalia Gomez
The Miraculous Day of Amalia Gomez by John Rechy delves into the life of Amalia Gomez; a
Mexican American woman living in a poor rural area of Hollywood. The structure of her family is
falling apart due to conflict between the characters and Amalia s lack of involvement in their lives.
Her youngest son Juan is a male prostitute known as a maricÓn , her daughter Gloria is falling
dangerously close to following in Amalia s footsteps, and her oldest son Manny although well
intentioned starts to clone his father s criminal tendencies even though he has no recollections of his
father. Amalia s selective perspective also leads to conflict within herself since she is content not

Teresa looks down upon Amalia because her moral values don t consist of remaining faithful to a man
that can provide for her no matter what she has to endure to keep a relationship. Teresa is partially the
cause of the psychological effects Amalia is haunted by from her past. When Amalia tells her mother
Teresa that she was raped by Salvador; whom would later become her first husband, Teresa doesn t
believe that her daughter was raped and forces Amalia and Salvador to marry. Teresa often flaunts her
religion to Amalia by stubbornly placing her statue of La dolorosa, the Mother of Sorrows in a visible
place in Amalia s home. Teresa puts down Amalia and criticizes her life decisions and parenting skills.
Teresa s constant disapproval contributes to the psychological effects that lead to Amalia s bad sense
of life priorities.
[relationship between Manny and Amalia] Due to her mother s perspective Amalia attempted to instill
higher moral standards upon her children. Her firstborn Manny had been the product of her first
marriage to Salvador and greatly represented his father although he had no recollection of him. Manny

Understanding the Dangers of Pilot Fatigue
Understanding Dangers of Pilot Fatigue In February of 2009, Colgan Air flight 3407 crashed while on
approach killing forty nine people on board as well as one on the ground according to the official
National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Accident Report (2010). In February of 2008, go! flight
1002 ignored several radio calls after departure and eventually flew past its destination and continued
over open water according to the NTSB s Report (2009). In April of 2007, Pinnacle Airlines flight
4712 overran the runway after landing at its destination airport. According to the NTSB s official
Accident Report (2008), there were no injuries. The incidents and accidents listed above all have one
common factor: fatigue. Fatigue was shown to have played some role in Colgan 3407, go! 1002, and
Pinnacle 4712. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine (2013), fatigue is a response that
is important and can be caused by physical activity, emotional stress, boredom, or lack of sleep.
According to the Aviation Instructor s Handbook (2008), Fatigue is one of the most treacherous
hazards to flight safety as it may not be apparent to a pilot until serious errors are made (p. 8 4). Not
only is fatigue a major danger to professional pilots, it can also becomr a serious danger to student
pilots as well. Davisson (2013) believes that learning to fly can be intense because everything learned
in the aircraft is new to the student. When in flight training, a student is

Relationship Between Kouzes And Posner
James Kouzes and Barry Posner first introduced the statement leadership is a relationship in the book
The Leadership Challenge . Kouzes and Posner has described that one can be a effective leader if they
build a solid relationship with their people. Relationship is a critical responsibility of most of the
leader. Until and unless you don t have people or a good relationship around you, you can t lead a
good leadership.
As you are leading a group or organization you must have a strong and regular communication.
Leadership is about the relationship between leader and their constituents...its about the emotional
bond that exists between you and them. Kouzes and Posner

Lack Of Social Anxiety
Social anxiety should be classified as a social disorder instead of a mental disorder because certain
situations placed on an individual with social anxiety makes the person feel trapped and unable to
socialize with peers. It would let people in schools have a better insight of their students with this
disorder. If it is classified as a social disorder, people will get a better understanding, and have less
stigma in the public eye, as well as more support in schools and workplaces. Social anxiety is a
disorder that is marked by the individual s fear of interpersonal interactions with others which causes
them to look upon people very often. Specifically, social anxiety is a fear of socializing with society,
and being judged by their lack of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One thing is that you begin to breathe extremely quickly, basically uncontrollable. The breathing
throws multiple people with social anxiety off balance of oxygen leading to an extreme amount of
more physical symptoms which is not so good for the individual s health. Overall social anxiety is a
very strong topic to talk about today so it should be taken seriously and be classified as a social
disorder and not a mental disorder because it will make the individual feel as if there is something
wrong with them when there isn t anything wrong it s just the way the person thinks. As well as
having school programs and other treatments in workplaces for the person will make the person not
feel less of themselves and hopefully there will be a better and more efficient cure for them in which
they deserve, because they deserve to be treated equal and not like an outsider who can t help
themselves. So treatment plus the classification should be changed in order not too have public stigma
in society s eyes of the so called Mental disorder . There should be a conclusion to it all with having
the classification rethought as well as treatments should be looked at and very helpful to the ones

By Grecia R. Matos
Description of the world titanium market
Titanium metal is an important strategic and critical material and is widely used for high performance
military and commercial aircrafts (airframes, engines, and landing gear), in power plants, and for a
wide variety of chemical processing, infrastructure equipment and several other applications. Titanium
metal is produced by highly sophisticated chemical processes and is more expensive than most other
structural metals such as aluminum and steel. The highly expensive processes associated with its

Consumption was 42.5 t according to Roskill s Titanium report and production of titanium mill
products was 36 t, of which approximately 74% of mill products and castings were produced for
commercial and military aerospace applications. Other applications for titanium mill products and
castings included, in descending order, industrial, medical, other commercial, non aerospace military
applications, and consumer products (Bedinger, MIS 2013).
The titanium mill products industry is highly consolidated. American companies dominate the
industry. Major producers are Titanium Metal Corporation, Allegheny Technologies Incorporated, RTI
International Metals, and VSMPO AVISMA (Russian company). This raw material integration reduces
dependency on foreign imports and provides supply chain stability. US production was the largest
globally until 2011 when it was overtaken by that in China. By 2013, China was major producer with
70.3 t but mainly for internal consumption.
Most titanium production in Russia is in the hands of VSMPO Avisma group, weather in the form of
sponge, ingot or mill products. It is one of the few producers integrated from raw materials through to
partially fabricated titanium products. It is focused on exports, particularly to the major aerospace
companies in the US and Europe. It sells much of its output on long term contracts to Boeing, Airbus,
General Electric and Rolls

My Hero s Day-Personal Narrative
I held on to the back of James s black jacket. I d watched him iron creases into it, and although I d
offered to take over, he d insisted on doing it himself.
My eyes scanned the sunlit grave yard. So many people had turned up to say goodbye to Clyde, there
were a lot of faces I didn t recognise. It was easier to look at them.
I glanced at Heidi. The puffy red of her eyes told me she d been crying for a while, probably all night,
maybe even every night since he d died. Morven could barely stand. She was held up by Heather and
Liss and the constant painful frown on her face made me glance away.
I looked up at James. He stared straight ahead, out at the trees. His face was perfectly still and serious.
I could see how hard he tried to hold it together for everyone, but the bloodshot lines that surrounded
the blue of his eyes, told me he had cried just as much. He turned his face to look at me and I smiled
just a little, to reassure him I was here, I would always be here.
Tag stood in the distance between the headstones, facing the floor with his hands clasped together. I
knew this was hard for him, too. The memories of his own family must have come flooding back.

Goodbye, Dad, he whispered.
And then his body crumpled, the way I knew he so badly didn t want it to. He sagged to the ground,
hunched over, and I immediately knelt beside him. He lifted his hand to cover his face; he didn t want
them to see. I pulled him in, holding his face to my chest.
His grief was private and I had to shield him from the crowd. That was all I could do, because I couldn

other words, look at three different correlations. First, check for assumptions for parametric
correlations. Do you note any outliers? Note which combinations do not seem to satisfy parametric
assumptions. Then go ahead and check the correlations between these variables, checking both
Pearson s and Spearman s boxes if assumptions for Pearson s are violated. What are the effect sizes of

Excessive release of this chemical leads to sleeplessness that affects normal human cycle. This
contributes immensely to regular and sustained burnouts due to sleep deprivation (Seib, Whiteside,
Humphrey, Lee, Thomas, Chopin, ... Anderson, 2014). Additionally, catecholamines affect the frontal
region of the brain, which is instrumental in short term and long term memories (King, Lloyd Holewa,
2008). This leads to poor memory and retention capacity. Acute stress tends to have a long term
mental health impact that affects multiple regions.
The second response mechanism towards stress is by the heart, circulatory system and the lungs (Seib
et al., 2014; Wells, 2013). Uncontrolled release of metabolic signals leads to poor digestion and
absorption of bear. As the concentration of bear increases, the heart beat increases to try and distribute
the concentration of bear to other parts of the body, which leads to an increase in blood pressure (Seib
et al., 2014; Wells, 2013). To country oxygen demand, the breathing system suddenly increases as the
lungs take in as much oxygen as they possibly can to satisfy its shortage in the blood stream (Wells,
2013). On the other hand, the spleen increases discharge of white and red blood cells to ensure that
more blood cells are available to transport excess oxygen throughout the circulatory system. Research

Classical Period Research Paper
During the Classical period, it was common for music to be louder, faster and not written for the
church like it had been written in the Baroque or Renaissance period. Instead of the music being
performed in churches, it was performed in concert halls or in the palace. Some of the most
recognizable artists during that time were Mozart, Beethoven, and Hayden. A lesser known artist,
Muzio Clementi, an Italian born pianist, who was alive during 1752 to 1832 and lived most of this life
in England during the Classical period. Even though, his music was not as successful as some of the
other artists of this time such as Mozart, he was considered the the father of the piano. This was

We can relate some of Beethoven s symphonies that we learned about in class like symphony number
five to Muzio s symphonies because they both consisted of four movements and were both written in
an allegro form. The instruments that were used in the two symphonies are similar; they both use
string instruments like violins and cellos and percussion instruments. Usually, symphonies consist of
string, brass, percussion, and woodwind instruments, but do not have to use every instrument that is in
those categorizes they just use a few or none at all for each. They also do not just use one violin or one
flute there is usually a couple of each instrument so that there can be variety of sounds. For instance, if
the piece calls for a certain instrument to be played multiple ways then they would use more than one
of those instruments, so that all the pressure would not be placed on one performer. For the Great
National, Clementi used a variety of instruments that would be typically used such as violins, the
piano, and trombones. We also learned about absolute music which is music that does not have a
written story to it like most modern songs do today that have lyrics to it, but in absolute music its more
about the instruments and the music itself. Clementi s symphony is considered to be absolute music
because there are no words and does not make up a story, the music itself coveys a power story. It was
their intent that the music would be able to be strong by itself to create a sort of story that did not need
words to convey a powerful message. That is similar to anyone s symphonies like Hayden s or Mozart
s that we studied in

The Influence Of Greek Architecture In America
Greek architecture was and still is a significant part of history today. It has affected many countries
counting the U.S. A good example of how Greek Architecture affects the U.S is the many historical
sites found in the capital of the U.S, such as the Lincoln memorial, which has obvious Greek elements
including how it is partially constructed through marble and has many columns. Because of the way
Greek Architecture was and still is, it has helped establish the present day society that America has

people are honored. Take a temple for instance. Many of these temples were built on a large hill

ABSTRACT:
Once the level within the dam surpasses certain level, the dam is at risk of collapsing. To avert this, we
ought to constantly monitor dam level to ensure that dam structure doesn t cave in underneath the
pressure from the water. A dam is really a barrier that impounds water or subterranean streams. The
primary water quality related parameters that should be supervised are Temperature, Turbidity and ph.
This paper describes the theoretical aspects associated with the work we re doing and also the
particulars concerning the illustration showing the automation of dam gates. Dams generally serve the
main reason for retaining water, while other structures for example floodgates or levees (also referred
to as dikes) are utilized to manage or prevent water flow and drainage into specific land regions. You
can do this by manipulating the ton gates when the level surpasses certain limits.

Essay on Running and Over Training
Even though some experts believe that excessive running is detrimental to the human body, and others
believe any amount of running is one of the key components in most athletes, Still others believe that
moderation between both extremes can benefit your sport.
Running may have a heavier toll on the body than any other sport, literally. With each stride, force of
two to three times the bodies weight is hammered on the joint, muscles, and tendons.
How much running is too much running? is there too much of a good thing? There is and it is most

said in the survey that, if they had to go through the process of immigration all over again, they would
because the U.S. is a unique and special country (Farkas). Based on that high percentage alone, there
can be no real debate on the intentions of Mexicans moving here other than those that are
encouraging.
Donald Trump, of course, attempted to challenge that statistic. During his campaign, he claimed, The
worst elements in Mexico are being pushed into the United States by the Mexican government... They
re sending people that have lots of problems, and they re bringing those problems to us. They re
bringing drugs. They re bringing crime. They re rapists (Walker).
It seems that Donald may have a slightly narrow view of the number of people who actually fit into
these categories versus the total number of people attempting to enter the country. Based on
previously stated evidence, their intentions for moving to the United States were to gain a higher
quality of life by getting a job, not solely to sell drugs and act as rapists. Now that he has been elected
as our president, many Mexicans are currently living in fear of what the next step in his plan of action
is.

However implementation of liquidity ratios illustrates that the short term debt paying ability of the
companies has improved with and without the inclusion of inventories (Jerry J et al, 2008, pg214).
This is of particular interest to M S who may require financial aid to finance the renovation of its
stores. In terms of the current recession many investors may be worried to what effect the current
recession will have on Tesco and M S respectively. Another indication of how efficient the companies
are in purchasing and selling goods is the stock turnover Ratio (J. R. Dyson, 2004, 258). As a group M
S have seen this liquidity ratio shrink over the past couple of years. Similarly Tesco Plc has also
experienced the same fate but the ratio calculated still remains high. From the perspective of an
investor, M S have showed a consistent growth of earnings per share. Figures stated in the key
performance measures highlight the significant growth of the EPS over the past five years. Similarly
the five year record of Tesco Plc also shows an increase in EPS from 15.05p to 26.95p. Both M S and

Aging Population Research Paper
The aging population has increasing and decreasing effects on health care today. Some effects are

Some increasing effects that the aging population has made on health care today are obesity, falls,
financial demands caused by the baby boomer era, and life expectancy. A decreasing effect that the

Emergency Room as soon as they possibly can. There is also a limited availability of health care
services that can be provided to the patients with disabilities. There are some hospitals and health care
centers that are unable to provide the medical equipment and other physical assets such as narrow
doorways, steps and no elevators, inadequate bathrooms, and inaccessible parking areas. These
hospitals and caring centers that lacks these specific assets make the elderly worried that they have

Stroke Definition
Stroke: A stroke involves loss of brain functions caused by a loss of blood circulation to areas of the
brain.
Causes: Occurs when the blood supply to part of your brain is interrupted or severely reduced,
depriving brain tissue of oxygen and food. Within minutes, brain cells begin to die.
In Ischemic cerebral blood flow is suddenly impaired by a thrombus or embolus.
In Haemorrhagic the rupture of a cerebral blood vessel causes bleeding into the subarachnoid space or
brain tissue.
Types of stroke: Haemorrhagic stroke and Transient ischemic stroke.

Quentin In John Green s Paper Towns
Everyone in the world has a tendency to push their ideals onto other people. This point is illustrated
throughout Paper Towns by John Green as main character Quentin searches for his childhood friend
Margo Roth Spiegelman. Throughout the novel, he has several life changing revelations on both
himself and those around him. The characterization and misconceptions between main characters
Margo and Quentin represent the deeper ideal that a person s true self is hidden from the world. In the
novel, every one of the characters have a different view of Margo; some consider her to be the popular
chick, or the mysterious lone wolf. Quentin sees her as something akin to a goddess, almost obsessing
over her in his search. To Margo, the town that she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

with that assurance that The cops could charge us with breaking, and they could charge us with

demonstrations of Margo s otherness. In spite of this, as the novel progresses and the characters begin
to flesh out, Quentin gains more depth as a person and other characteristics are seen of him that were
not noticed before. Conversely, Margo is dissected further, as her character and being is picked apart
and shown to have been not quite what she seemed. At the very end of the novel, Margo reveals that,
to her, Quentin had simply been a storybook character, fearless and heroic and willing to die to protect

only known two domains in the taxonomical hierarchy were referred to as Prokaryotes and
Eukaryotes. In recent times, scientists have discovered and added a third domain of life, known as,
Archaea. These three taxons exist together to make up the microbial world that we live in. All three
domains can be found freely all over the earth. Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes are usually more common,
with Archaea being extremely rare. Although coming from three entirely different domains, all three
possess similar characteristics, but also have some unique features. Prokaryotes are single celled

What Is The Mood Of The Poem Read Out Loud
Throughout the whole sonnet, the poet maintains a very mournful tone, which he mainly emphasizes
by experimenting with sound. In the first line, for example, the combination of past and the repetition
of pitch results in an alliteration of the strong plosive /p/ sound. The exact same phenomenon can be
found in line nine with the nasal /m/ sound in mind and mountains . Because this poem is teeming
with alliterations, it clearly should be read out loud. In this way the reader will also notice that
Hopkins uses many mono syllabic words to speed up the rhythm. Line one, for example, only consists
of words of one syllable. Another way in which the poet affects the rhythm of his poem is the
excessive use of punctuation. The octave is made

The Dehydration Of 2-Methyl-2-Butanol Was Performed Using
The dehydration of 2 methyl 2 butanol was performed using sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid in order
to synthesize alkene products 2 methyl 1 butene and 2 methyl 2 butene. After carrying out steam
distillation to isolate the organic alkenes from aqueous components within the reaction mixture, the
purity and characterization of the products were then assessed through various analytical methods
including Gas Chromatography (GC), Infrared Radiation (IR) Spectroscopy, and Nuclear Magnetic

The products of interest within this experiment are 2 methyl 1 butene and 2 methyl 2 butene from
sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid catalyzed dehydration of 2 methyl 2 butanol. The reaction mixture
was then separated into its separate alkene components by steam distillation and then analyzed by gas
chromatography (GC), Infrared Radiation (IR) spectroscopy, and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance
(NMR) imaging. Gas chromatography is an analytical technique that is able to characterize if specific
compounds exist in a reaction mixture, even if they are in low quantities, assess how much of a
compound exists within a reaction mixture relative to other components within the sample, and
determine the purity of an isolated product. In the case of this experiment, gas chromatography is used
to analyze how pure the alkene reaction sample was and if any remnants of impurities or 2 methyl 2
butanol remained in the sample after isolation of alkene components. Results and Discussion Mass (g)

The Importance Of Security Best Practices
Security Best Practices
No computer with a connection to the internet is 100 percent safe (Helmke, 2015). System
Administrators have a responsibility to protect individuals and corporations from breaches and loss. A
breach can have massive economic implications and, even worse, long lasting damage to your
reputation. Linux is just as vulnerable as other operating systems and it appears the majority of best
practice methodologies apply across all operating systems.
Security Audits
The first step is to perform a security audit and determine where vulnerabilities may exist. Physical
Placement The system is extremely vulnerable if not installed in a climate controlled secure room.
Only authorized personnel should have access to the room ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Software versions Additionally, it is good to hide the machine ID and software versions. This is simply
free information making it easier for the attacker.
Wireless Helmke (2015) also recommends using wired and avoiding wireless if possible.
NMAP Another vulnerability is open ports. Tools such as NMAP scan and determine if any ports are
open. Unexpected open ports are clues that a potential breach has occurred and that a cracker has
opened unauthorized ports.
Intrusion Detection Systems IDS should be installed that contain the capabilities to monitor the
network and send alerts if odd or different behavior is observed.
Protect your system
Update Linux kernel and Software Regular updates are critical to insure the system has the most stable
and reliable load.
Viruses Linux has an advantage over Windows. Helmke (2015) explains,
Linux never puts the current directory in your executable path, so typing ls runs /bin/ls rather than any
program named ls in the current directory.
A nonroot user can infect only the files that user has write access to, which is usually only the files in
the user s home directory. This is one of the most important reasons for never using sudo when you
don t need to.
Linux forces you to manually mark files as executable, so you can t accidentally run a file called
myfile.txt.exe thinking it is just a text file.
By having more than one common web browser and email client, Linux has strength through

Traditional Gender Expectations
Examine the impact of traditional gender expectations on the specific roles individuals adopt within
groups
There are many traditional gender expectations that are significant and have an impact on both males
and females on the specific roles that they adopt within groups. Traditional male expectations include,
that males are expected to be the family provider, for example working full time and giving money to
their family so that they can buy their basic daily needs for example food and clothing. Men are also
expected to protect woman and his children, for instance, in cases where they are placed in unsafe
situations. Traditional female expectations include that they are expected to follow their husband s
ideas, plans and decisions without arguing and to keep everything in their household clean and tidy.
The traditional expectation of males expected to be the family provider signifies that they are strong,
have a leadership type role and that they are dominant and powerful. This is because the males are the

While that is partially true, myths are generally traditional tales that primarily revolve around specific
people and religious beliefs. The most prevailing myths that orbit around today s standards are
creation myths. Basically, they are theories about how humanity emerged and how the world was
created. As I read Greek Creation and The Algonquin Myth of Michabo , I perceived that they are both
obviously very distinctive from each other, but in a way they share the same idea or interpretation
about how the world and humanity was formed. When analyzing both of the text, I realized that the

The dominant figure that steered the course of the Abstract Expressionist movement was the infamous
painter Jackson Pollock. He was born Paul Jackson Pollock in Cody, Wyoming on January 28, 1912.
He was the fifth and youngest son and grew up in Arizona and California after his family left him
when he was a little over one year old. Pollock s artistic journey began at the Manual Arts School in
Los Angeles, California where he joined two of his brothers. From there, he went on to New York to
attend the Art Students League after being convinced by one of his brothers whom also attended the
school. Before moving into his own innovative style, Pollock would have to learn the formal rules of

In 1939, Jackson Pollock entered psychotherapy for his alcoholism. For him, the doctors saw that
producing artwork could serve as a means of therapy for his problem with alcohol. His alcoholism
would later come back to haunt him and his works in later years and become the cause of his ultimate
demise. Pollock began doing all of his works in a completely abstract manner in the mid 1940s. But,
after 1947 is when Pollock s most recognizable abstract works would be produced. This is when he
began placing large canvases on the floor and creating his famous abstract works. On these large
canvases, he started to use his drip technique, which was first shown to him by Siqueiro. These drip
paintings were first shown in 1948. They are said to reflect both ecstasy and anxiety. After they were
introduced to the world, a critic actually characterized Pollock as Jack the Dripper . These works
captivated and scared his future wife, Lee Krasner, a painter herself. His personal technique in gesture
and action painting was applied as directly as possible. Pollock said that through this active process,
he could literally be in the painting . This describes the term coined action painting . He also said,

This is a major difference we have to consider because he belonged to the Baroque style whereas
Michelangelo belonged to the Renaissance. Michelangelo David has many major differences to the
prior designs by both Donatello and Verrocchio, they were the firsts to create a statue about the story
of David and Goliath. In both Donatello and Verrocchio s David, David is considerably younger,
compared to Michelangelo s. A major difference between Donatello and Verrocchio s David vs.
Michelangelo and Bernini s is that on the latter there is no head of Goliath in their feet. Due to the
time which latter artists belonged to, that wasn t a common. It is also important to consider that
Michelangelo s David is very unrealistic. Due to the fact that he was going to be placed outside in a
plaza, the design was made to be looked at from the bottom to the top. The statue has a very large
head and particularly big hands in comparison to an actual person s. It was very uncommon for
Michelangelo to do this. Bernini s David on the other hand is life sized, meaning it doesn t share

Reflective Essay On Critical Thinking
Questioning and challenging my assumptions and attitudes about critical thinking is a new process for
me, but I do appreciate that to develop and enhance my assumptions and other mindsets it is an
important undertaking. Looking at what we hold to be true is an endeavor well trenched into us as we
evolved. The real value of critical thinking is that it s been at the root of all human progress
(Rabinowitz, 2015).
Being challenged on my thinking is difficult, but once I got through the difficulty I realized it was for
my betterment as a student and as a teacher. My prior experience as an undergraduate in early
childhood education with Bloom s focused mainly on the cognitive domain and thus I cannot recall
the affective or psychomotor domains being addressed. However, as I began to understand that the
committee identified three domains of educational activities or learning (Bloom, 1956 as cited by
Clark, 2015), I realized that I did have assumptions and that they were being challenged. First of all, I
did assume that Bloom s focus on cognitive development devalues the importance of other domains
and secondly that Bloom s Taxonomy is only used by educators in K 12 and college. Interestingly,
both have since been challenged and changed through my readings as it is important to note that the
most common usage of Bloom s Taxonomy focuses on cognitive learning skills rather than
psychomotor or affective skills, two domains that are crucial to the success of health

A recent article supports the idea why men are not suitable for domestic chores even though they are
willing to be participated in one. According to a survey that was conducted to 2,000 randomly picked
women, women spend average of three hours to re do what men has done due to low quality job
presented. (Carlson, 2012) It could be explained due to traditional aspects that women are usually
doing household chores whilst men are out there to make money to support the family. However, the
modern British society does not allow it. Women are more socially active and when they are a part of
work forces, it is not always easy for them to focus on work and domestic chores at the same time.
One interesting fact in this article states that women think men are usually incompetent in what they
do when it comes to household chores and women often think that they could do better. (Carlson,
2012) Considering household jobs are not usually complicated and does not require special set of
skills that can only be acquired under supervisions of professionals, it is just viewed as women
pursuing for perfection in what they do and men do not realise how crucial proper help from them.

not necessarily helpful for them and it comes back to the original point where women have enough

Biography of Wyatt Earp Essay
Biography of Wyatt Earp
Wyatt Earp, born Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp, was born on March 19, 1848 in
Manmouth, Illinois to Nicholas and Virginia Earp. When Wyatt was two, his parents moved him
across the Mississippi River to Pella, Iowa. He was considered a great western lawman. His first
experience as a lawman was as a constable of Lamar, Missouri for four months in the year 1870. In
April, 1875, he was appointed to the Wichita Kansas police force only to be released from that job on
April 2, 1876 for insubordination. After that, Wyatt moved to Dodge City, Kansas where he served as
a police man three separate times. The first time he served from May 17 until September 9, 1876; the

A very historical event occurred soon after Wyatt took the detective job with
Wells, Fargo Company; the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. This event is very controversial even today.
According to the name of the event, the shutout occurred in the back entrance of the O.K. Corral. Yet,
according to the research that I have done, the shootout actually occurred about half a block over from
the O.K. Corral in the side yard of ex mayor William A. Harwood and from there it spread out into the
middle of Fremont
Street. Of course, the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral sounds much better than the
Gunfight in Harwood s Yard and Fremont Street so I guess someone decided to change it. O.K. Corral
has much more of a Western ring to it. Personally, I think the
Gunfight in Tombstone sounds pretty good, but there s no point trying to change it now.
Virgil, Wyatt s older brother, was Tombstone s city marshal at the time of the shootout.
He was also a deputy U.S. marshal. At the time of the gunfight, Wyatt considered himself a
saloonkeeper, since he had a piece of the gambling winnings at the Oriental
Saloon. This event included four of the Old West s best known law enforcers and also some of the Old

evidence that was collected, this was a major factor in high casualty numbers during the war because
of the use of outdated tactics, pre determined mindsets of leaders, and the continued use of strategies
that were ineffective.
A popular form of war fighting was based in cavalry charges that rapidly declined in effectiveness
throughout the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a result of this, artillery did not have as destructive effect that the Allies wanted. This lack of
knowledge and ignorant assumptions did not account for many Allied casualties but it did not decrease
the number of enemy troops to where the Allies had an advantage (Axelrod, 94). This battle could
have been a major success for the Allies with much fewer casualties had the military leaders knew
what they were up against. Too many times during the war, tactical preparations before battles were
slim and military leaders decided to attack based on previously accurate knowledge; only to find out
that this war changed every minute and the enemy was changing as well. This military incompetence
can also be seen in the Battle of Verdun in 1916. General Pétain s plan during the battle was described
as this: Every parcel of land which might be seized by the enemy will give rise to an immediate
counter attack (Malcolm, ch 8). This bold, yet ineffective strategy allowed for hundreds of thousands
of French soldiers to lose their lives over the course of the battle. Pétain simply wanted to keep
throwing men at the Germans who were armed with much better weapons that did nothing but
increase the intensity of the war of attrition. Although the men who died on the battlefield were very
brave and committed to winning the war, they were following blind leadership. Overall, Verdun was a
strategic win but a tactical failure that only contributed to the

The Thief In J. R. Tolkien s The Lord Of The Rings
I will be applying this criteria to Gandalf, a wizard in the series The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R
Tolkien. Despite not having wounds in his hands, feet, side and head Gandalf did sacrifice himself for
the good of his friends when he battled Balrog, a fire demon, ultimately perishing but later rising from
the dead as a pure white wizard rather than his previous gray form. Furthermore, Gandalf is good with
children as he not only is in charge of 4 children throughout his journey but he is also known amongst
other smaller children as the wizard with fireworks and great stories. Gandalf is always seen on
horseback or on foot through his travels and despite not being able to walk on water he continuously
used his wizard like power to perform miracles.

  • 3. Automated Guided Vehicle Or Automatic Guided Vehicles Automated Guidance An automated guided vehicle or automatic guided vehicle (AGV) is essentially a vehicle that follows markers or wires in the floor, or uses vision, magnets, or lasers for navigation. They are most often used in industrial applications to move materials around a manufacturing facility or warehouse. Application of the automatic guided vehicle has broadened during the late 20th century. The AGV can tow objects behind them in trailers to which they can autonomously attach. The trailers can be used to move raw materials or finished product. The AGV can also store objects on a bed. The objects can be placed on a set of motorized rollers (conveyor) and then pushed off by reversing them. AGVs are employed in nearly every industry, including, pulp, paper, metals, newspaper, and general manufacturing. Transporting materials such as food, linen or medicine in hospitals is also done. An AGV can also be called a laser guided vehicle (LGV). Lower cost versions of AGVs are often called Automated Guided Carts (AGCs) and are usually guided by magnetic tape. AGCs are available in a variety of models and can be used to move products on an assembly line, transport goods throughout a plant or warehouse, and deliver loads. Over the years, the technology has become more sophisticated, this technology can be suitably adapted for cars on the streets. Her youngest son Juan is a male prostitute known as a maricÓn , her daughter Gloria is falling dangerously close to following in Amalia s footsteps, and her oldest son Manny although well intentioned starts to clone his father s criminal tendencies even though he has no recollections of his father. Teresa often flaunts her religion to Amalia by stubbornly placing her statue of La dolorosa, the Mother of Sorrows in a visible place in Amalia s home. Teresa puts down Amalia and criticizes her life decisions and parenting skills. Teresa s constant disapproval contributes to the psychological effects that lead to Amalia s bad sense of life priorities. Understanding the Dangers of Pilot Fatigue Understanding Dangers of Pilot Fatigue In February of 2009, Colgan Air flight 3407 crashed while on approach killing forty nine people on board as well as one on the ground according to the official National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Accident Report (2010). In February of 2008, go! flight 1002 ignored several radio calls after departure and eventually flew past its destination and continued over open water according to the NTSB s Report (2009). In April of 2007, Pinnacle Airlines flight 4712 overran the runway after landing at its destination airport. According to the NTSB s official Accident Report (2008), there were no injuries. The incidents and accidents listed above all have one common factor: fatigue. Fatigue was shown to have played some role in Colgan 3407, go! 1002, and Pinnacle 4712. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine (2013), fatigue is a response that is important and can be caused by physical activity, emotional stress, boredom, or lack of sleep. According to the Aviation Instructor s Handbook (2008), Fatigue is one of the most treacherous hazards to flight safety as it may not be apparent to a pilot until serious errors are made (p. 8 4). Not only is fatigue a major danger to professional pilots, it can also becomr a serious danger to student pilots as well. Davisson (2013) believes that learning to fly can be intense because everything learned in the aircraft is new to the student. When in flight training, a student is ... Lack Of Social Anxiety Social anxiety should be classified as a social disorder instead of a mental disorder because certain situations placed on an individual with social anxiety makes the person feel trapped and unable to socialize with peers. It would let people in schools have a better insight of their students with this disorder. If it is classified as a social disorder, people will get a better understanding, and have less stigma in the public eye, as well as more support in schools and workplaces. One thing is that you begin to breathe extremely quickly, basically uncontrollable. The breathing throws multiple people with social anxiety off balance of oxygen leading to an extreme amount of more physical symptoms which is not so good for the individual s health. As well as having school programs and other treatments in workplaces for the person will make the person not feel less of themselves and hopefully there will be a better and more efficient cure for them in which they deserve, because they deserve to be treated equal and not like an outsider who can t help themselves. • 9. My Hero s Day-Personal Narrative I held on to the back of James s black jacket. I d watched him iron creases into it, and although I d offered to take over, he d insisted on doing it himself. My eyes scanned the sunlit grave yard. So many people had turned up to say goodbye to Clyde, there were a lot of faces I didn t recognise. It was easier to look at them. I glanced at Heidi. The puffy red of her eyes told me she d been crying for a while, probably all night, maybe even every night since he d died. Morven could barely stand. She was held up by Heather and Liss and the constant painful frown on her face made me glance away. I looked up at James. He stared straight ahead, out at the trees. His face was perfectly still and serious. I could see how hard he tried to hold it together for everyone, but the bloodshot lines that surrounded the blue of his eyes, told me he had cried just as much. He turned his face to look at me and I smiled just a little, to reassure him I was here, I would always be here. Tag stood in the distance between the headstones, facing the floor with his hands clasped together. I knew this was hard for him, too. The memories of his own family must have come flooding back. Additionally, catecholamines affect the frontal region of the brain, which is instrumental in short term and long term memories (King, Lloyd Holewa, 2008). The instruments that were used in the two symphonies are similar; they both use string instruments like violins and cellos and percussion instruments. Usually, symphonies consist of string, brass, percussion, and woodwind instruments, but do not have to use every instrument that is in those categorizes they just use a few or none at all for each. They also do not just use one violin or one flute there is usually a couple of each instrument so that there can be variety of sounds. For instance, if the piece calls for a certain instrument to be played multiple ways then they would use more than one of those instruments, so that all the pressure would not be placed on one performer. For the Great National, Clementi used a variety of instruments that would be typically used such as violins, the piano, and trombones. We also learned about absolute music which is music that does not have a written story to it like most modern songs do today that have lyrics to it, but in absolute music its more about the instruments and the music itself. Clementi s symphony is considered to be absolute music because there are no words and does not make up a story, the music itself coveys a power story. It was their intent that the music would be able to be strong by itself to create a sort of story that did not need words to convey a powerful message. In the case of this experiment, gas chromatography is used to analyze how pure the alkene reaction sample was and if any remnants of impurities or 2 methyl 2 butanol remained in the sample after isolation of alkene components. Results and Discussion Mass (g) Alcohol (Before dehydration) 2.3478 Alkene (After dehydration) 0.6675 0.6675/2.3478 x 100=28.4% Based on prior calculations, expected yield for the alkene products was 79.5%. The actual yield was not as high, resulting in a 28.4% yield. Even with this relatively small yield, the reaction still went to completion as indicated by the GC results in Figure 2. This is known because there is no presence of 2 methyl 1 butanol within the GC spectra. Only the two desired alkene products with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. The Importance Of Security Best Practices Security Best Practices No computer with a connection to the internet is 100 percent safe (Helmke, 2015). System Administrators have a responsibility to protect individuals and corporations from breaches and loss. A breach can have massive economic implications and, even worse, long lasting damage to your reputation. Linux is just as vulnerable as other operating systems and it appears the majority of best practice methodologies apply across all operating systems. Security Audits The first step is to perform a security audit and determine where vulnerabilities may exist. Physical Placement The system is extremely vulnerable if not installed in a climate controlled secure room. Only authorized personnel should have access to the room ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Software versions Additionally, it is good to hide the machine ID and software versions. This is simply free information making it easier for the attacker. Wireless Helmke (2015) also recommends using wired and avoiding wireless if possible. NMAP Another vulnerability is open ports. Tools such as NMAP scan and determine if any ports are open. Unexpected open ports are clues that a potential breach has occurred and that a cracker has opened unauthorized ports. Intrusion Detection Systems IDS should be installed that contain the capabilities to monitor the network and send alerts if odd or different behavior is observed. Protect your system Update Linux kernel and Software Regular updates are critical to insure the system has the most stable and reliable load. Viruses Linux has an advantage over Windows. Helmke (2015) explains, Linux never puts the current directory in your executable path, so typing ls runs /bin/ls rather than any program named ls in the current directory. A nonroot user can infect only the files that user has write access to, which is usually only the files in the user s home directory. This is one of the most important reasons for never using sudo when you don t need to. Linux forces you to manually mark files as executable, so you can t accidentally run a file called myfile.txt.exe thinking it is just a text file. By having more than one common web browser and email client, Linux has strength through ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Traditional Gender Expectations Examine the impact of traditional gender expectations on the specific roles individuals adopt within groups There are many traditional gender expectations that are significant and have an impact on both males and females on the specific roles that they adopt within groups. Traditional male expectations include, that males are expected to be the family provider, for example working full time and giving money to their family so that they can buy their basic daily needs for example food and clothing. Men are also expected to protect woman and his children, for instance, in cases where they are placed in unsafe situations. While that is partially true, myths are generally traditional tales that primarily revolve around specific people and religious beliefs. The most prevailing myths that orbit around today s standards are creation myths. Basically, they are theories about how humanity emerged and how the world was created. As I read Greek Creation and The Algonquin Myth of Michabo , I perceived that they are both obviously very distinctive from each other, but in a way they share the same idea or interpretation about how the world and humanity was formed. He was born Paul Jackson Pollock in Cody, Wyoming on January 28, 1912. He was the fifth and youngest son and grew up in Arizona and California after his family left him when he was a little over one year old. Pollock s artistic journey began at the Manual Arts School in Los Angeles, California where he joined two of his brothers. In 1939, Jackson Pollock entered psychotherapy for his alcoholism. For him, the doctors saw that producing artwork could serve as a means of therapy for his problem with alcohol. His alcoholism would later come back to haunt him and his works in later years and become the cause of his ultimate demise. Pollock began doing all of his works in a completely abstract manner in the mid 1940s. But, after 1947 is when Pollock s most recognizable abstract works would be produced. This is when he began placing large canvases on the floor and creating his famous abstract works. On these large canvases, he started to use his drip technique, which was first shown to him by Siqueiro. These drip paintings were first shown in 1948. They are said to reflect both ecstasy and anxiety. After they were introduced to the world, a critic actually characterized Pollock as Jack the Dripper . These works captivated and scared his future wife, Lee Krasner, a painter herself. His personal technique in gesture and action painting was applied as directly as possible. Pollock said that through this active process, he could literally be in the painting . This describes the term coined action painting . This is a major difference we have to consider because he belonged to the Baroque style whereas Michelangelo belonged to the Renaissance. Michelangelo David has many major differences to the prior designs by both Donatello and Verrocchio, they were the firsts to create a statue about the story of David and Goliath. In both Donatello and Verrocchio s David, David is considerably younger, compared to Michelangelo s. A major difference between Donatello and Verrocchio s David vs. Michelangelo and Bernini s is that on the latter there is no head of Goliath in their feet. Due to the time which latter artists belonged to, that wasn t a common. It is also important to consider that Michelangelo s David is very unrealistic. Due to the fact that he was going to be placed outside in a plaza, the design was made to be looked at from the bottom to the top. The statue has a very large head and particularly big hands in comparison to an actual person s. It was very uncommon for Michelangelo to do this. Bernini s David on the other hand is life sized, meaning it doesn t share Michelangelo s features of exaggerated body parts. Reflective Essay On Critical Thinking Questioning and challenging my assumptions and attitudes about critical thinking is a new process for me, but I do appreciate that to develop and enhance my assumptions and other mindsets it is an important undertaking. Looking at what we hold to be true is an endeavor well trenched into us as we evolved. The real value of critical thinking is that it s been at the root of all human progress (Rabinowitz, 2015). Being challenged on my thinking is difficult, but once I got through the difficulty I realized it was for my betterment as a student and as a teacher. My prior experience as an undergraduate in early childhood education with Bloom s focused mainly on the cognitive domain and thus I cannot recall the affective or psychomotor domains being addressed. However, as I began to understand that the committee identified three domains of educational activities or learning (Bloom, 1956 as cited by Clark, 2015), I realized that I did have assumptions and that they were being challenged. First of all, I did assume that Bloom s focus on cognitive development devalues the importance of other domains and secondly that Bloom s Taxonomy is only used by educators in K 12 and college. Interestingly, both have since been challenged and changed through my readings as it is important to note that the most common usage of Bloom s Taxonomy focuses on cognitive learning skills rather than psychomotor or affective skills, two domains that are crucial to the success of health ... According to a survey that was conducted to 2,000 randomly picked women, women spend average of three hours to re do what men has done due to low quality job presented. (Carlson, 2012) It could be explained due to traditional aspects that women are usually doing household chores whilst men are out there to make money to support the family. However, the modern British society does not allow it. Women are more socially active and when they are a part of work forces, it is not always easy for them to focus on work and domestic chores at the same time. One interesting fact in this article states that women think men are usually incompetent in what they do when it comes to household chores and women often think that they could do better. (Carlson, 2012) Considering household jobs are not usually complicated and does not require special set of skills that can only be acquired under supervisions of professionals, it is just viewed as women pursuing for perfection in what they do and men do not realise how crucial proper help from them. According to the name of the event, the shutout occurred in the back entrance of the O.K. Corral. Yet, according to the research that I have done, the shootout actually occurred about half a block over from the O.K. Corral in the side yard of ex mayor William A. Harwood and from there it spread out into the middle of Fremont Street. Of course, the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral sounds much better than the Gunfight in Harwood s Yard and Fremont Street so I guess someone decided to change it. O.K. Corral has much more of a Western ring to it. Personally, I think the Gunfight in Tombstone sounds pretty good, but there s no point trying to change it now. Virgil, Wyatt s older brother, was Tombstone s city marshal at the time of the shootout. He was also a deputy U.S. marshal. At the time of the gunfight, Wyatt considered himself a saloonkeeper, since he had a piece of the gambling winnings at the Oriental Saloon. This event included four of the Old West s best known law enforcers and also some of the Old West s best known villains . New fighting strategies that emphasized throwing more and more men into the fight only exacerbated the problem. Military leaders on the side of the Allies failed to adapt and sacrificed the lives of many that could have been avoided. Based on concrete evidence that was collected, this was a major factor in high casualty numbers during the war because of the use of outdated tactics, pre determined mindsets of leaders, and the continued use of strategies that were ineffective. As a result of this, artillery did not have as destructive effect that the Allies wanted. This lack of knowledge and ignorant assumptions did not account for many Allied casualties but it did not decrease the number of enemy troops to where the Allies had an advantage (Axelrod, 94). This battle could have been a major success for the Allies with much fewer casualties had the military leaders knew what they were up against. Too many times during the war, tactical preparations before battles were slim and military leaders decided to attack based on previously accurate knowledge; only to find out that this war changed every minute and the enemy was changing as well. This military incompetence can also be seen in the Battle of Verdun in 1916. General Pétain s plan during the battle was described as this: Every parcel of land which might be seized by the enemy will give rise to an immediate counter attack (Malcolm, ch 8). This bold, yet ineffective strategy allowed for hundreds of thousands of French soldiers to lose their lives over the course of the battle. Pétain simply wanted to keep throwing men at the Germans who were armed with much better weapons that did nothing but increase the intensity of the war of attrition. Although the men who died on the battlefield were very brave and committed to winning the war, they were following blind leadership.
