7. The Depot Youth Camp is a week-long summer camp for students in
Grades 11 and 12 (ages 16-19).
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Student selection will be based on academic achievement, fitness and interest in a
career in policing. While at camp, students will be issued parts of the RCMP uniform to
wear and will be expected to act as a troop in training. They will be required to wake up
early, keep dorms clean, and behave as a professional representative of the RCMP.

students from first semester. All information must
be returned to her by January 26, to make it into
first semester reporting.
• If you have work experience second semester, see
Ms Wegner ASAP to line up your paperwork. By
having it done now, you can start immediately the
first day of second semester
• If you have not taken HCS3000, you will need to
complete it before starting work experience.

9. TeamUp Science at the University of Alberta is
holding the Interdisciplinary Science Competition on
February 16th, 17th and 18th for grade 11 and 12
students. This competition allows students to attend
three university labs of chemistry, biology and
physics and choose two workshops to attend while
competing against other students. This is a great
opportunity for students to learn more about science
and what it’s like to be in university.

supporting documents required for admission for the

15. • The College of Engineering at the University of
Saskatchewan (uSask) is excited to announce that it
has added 150 seats for undergraduate students for
the upcoming 2018-2019 academic year.
• These seats are available for entering first-year
students and transfer students. Students with
averages below the traditional cut off for
engineering are encouraged to apply and to
discover the endless possibilities that a degree in
engineering offers.
