15. 2019 BCHS Post Secondary Update
• Applying For Post Secondary? Follow these steps!
•1. Create an Alberta My Digital ID - You do not have
to verify this to login to Apply Alberta (just confirm
your email.) You will need a verified ID (using your
drivers license / government ID) to get student loans.
•Please remember to use an email that is not tied to your school email and make sure
you write down and keep your password in a secure location
• 2. Set up your Apply Alberta Account – Use your
newly created Alberta My Digital ID to login
•You will hit the green apply button twice. Those currently in our school – Do Not
Have a Siams Account (so say no here)

16. 2019 BCHS Post Secondary Update
•You need to include all of your grade 11 and 12 course marks (including all CTS
modules). For courses in progress (this semester) or planned (next semester) you need
to enter a mark of what you expect to get. You should go in an update your marks in
the middle of the semester and when you receive your final marks.
•3. Choose the post secondary schools you want to
apply to within Apply Alberta When your Apply Alberta is
completed, it will allow you to select post secondary schools to apply to. You will fill
out the information requested and will need access to a credit card to pay the
nonrefundable application fee – see the post-secondary spreadsheet on the school
website to know ahead of time what the fee will be!
•If you need help on setting any of these 3 steps up,
please make an appointment to see Mrs. Bondarchuk!
(at lunch, after school, or during block 3 (M,W,F)
after lunch, (T, Th) during the last block of the day.

23. •LORAN SCHOLARS FOUNDATION
•The Foundation was founded in 1988 to fund outstanding
students to study on Canadian university campuses. They seek
well-rounded students who demonstrate character, promise of
leadership and strong commitment to service in the community.
You must present a minimum cumulative average of 85% and are
planning to attend the University of Alberta or University of
Calgary. Other out-of-province schools are also on the list.
Application deadline is due October 17th.
The school can sponsor only one student, but you can apply on
your own (by October 24th). See Mrs. Bondarchuk for more
information. The school must know all interested candidates by
Friday October 11th
