those that have fought and protected us over the
years.
Talk to your family members about members that
fought in any wars or peacekeeping missions.
We will have the commemorative ladder up again.
You can pick a ribbon of the colour that
corresponds with the war or mission your family
member served in, write their first and last name
on the ribbon, and tie it to the Commemorative
Ladder.

15. SHOW YOUR 4-H COLOURS
“Show Your 4-H Colours
Day” is to support the
impact that 4-H is having on
youth and their
communities. Many
landmarks all across
Canada are lighting up
green to show their support
4-H is a non-profit organization that has a goal of empowering youth to be
responsible, caring and contributing leaders that make positive change in their
communities and our world. Members can choose between Small Animal,
Livestock, and/or Life Skills projects. They also can hold executive positions in their
club and help run the meetings or they can choose to volunteer on numerous
committees or events that happen throughout the club year. 4-H’ers also participate
in Public Speaking events, Multi Judging events, and numerous community events
throughout the year. 4-H is a great club to join if you would like to help make a
difference or even just be exposed to different opportunities throughout your
project. It is a great way to gain essential life skills and enjoy doing it! Continue to

29. Schulich Leader Scholarships are the largest and most prestigious
undergraduate Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)
scholarships in Canada, with a value of up to $100,000 each. Fifty
students receive this celebrated award each year – a top student can
win from your school! Last year, 70% of winning recipients came
from schools that had never produced a Schulich Leader before.
Here’s what you need to know: Every high school in Canada may
nominate one student per academic year.
Nomination deadline is January 29, 2020
The school can sponsor only one student. See Mrs. Bondarchuk
for more information. The school must know all interested
candidates by Monday December 6th
