18. Registration 101 Workshops & Resources
First year course registration opened on April 3.
Online Reg 101 Workshops scheduled for the following dates:
Wednesday, April 12, 2017 and Wednesday, May 10, 2017
From the comfort of your home, you will have an opportunity to learn
how to navigate the Bear Tracks system for the purpose of course
registration, build a first-year schedule, and ask UAlberta advisors
questions. Students must have accepted their admission offer in order to
access course schedule information.
If you don’t want to do a Reg 101 Workshop, Ms Wegner is
available to help you through the process.

Consider returning to BCHS in the fall
• You can upgrade a course to obtain the mark you need
to get into a post-secondary program
• Take extra courses which may help you get into a post-
secondary program
• Take a variety of CTS courses to gain valuable skills for
the workplace
• Register for RAP if you are working in an eligible trade
• You can enroll for one class, one semester, or the whole
year
• Talk to any administrator or teacher if you wish to
pursue this viable option.

20. DIESEL ENGINE TECHNOLOGY
• Rev up your mechanical skills
• Train in engine fundamentals, service and repair,
engine systems, diesel fuel injection systems,
electronic fuel management and heavy duty
charging and cranking systems
• The program offers a flexible, blended learning
mode, 12 weeks theory online and 4 weeks face to
face time at the Lac La Biche campus

HEAVY EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN
• This entry level program will introduce you to
electronics, hydraulics, brake systems, air brakes,
safety and more.
• 12 weeks of theory online, one week review and 4
weeks of face-to-face practical training in their shop

Baking or Culinary or are in the RAP program you are
invited to participate in The School of Skilled Trades
Program Preview on Saturday April 29th, 2017. This
hands-on event will prepare you to make an informed
decision on your post-secondary choice for the future.
