This presentation showcases the 21st Civil Engineer Squadrons Engineering Support Office High-Definition Surveying™ (HDS™) capabilities that support Air Force GeoBase program objectives. The GeoBase program ensures the provision of and access to common, accurate and current geospatial information for all Air Force installations, ranges and property and consists of a Common Installation Picture and mission specific geospatial data: Mission Data Layers and Mission Data Sets. The use of High-Definition Surveying equipment has proven invaluable to the Engineering Support offices mission to maintain the installations Common Installation Picture and Mission Data Sets. This force-multiplier allows a single individual to capture millions of geo-referenced vector points in minutes with accuracies that exceed installation mapping requirements. This presentation will provide a field-to-finish perspective of the High-Definition Surveying operations performed by Engineering Support personnel at Peterson AFB.
