VISITORS FALL FOR OUR SAVIOUR – Visitors and friends are always welcome to worship with us. Please let us
know you were here; fill out the Fellowship Pad (it‘s in the hymnal rack) with today‘s date, name, address, phone #, etc.
TODAY IS LOYALTY SUNDAY – Did you forget your Pledge Card at home? If you need another copy, fear not!
Additional copies are available in the Narthex. Your completed forms can be placed in the offering plate or placed in the
Stewardship mailbox in the office hallway. Every Our Saviour household is asked to complete one pledge card.
FAITH BOOSTER SHOT – Join us in the Parlor for ‗Faith Booster‘, doubling as an Adult Confirmation Class. No
matter how long you have been on the Christian journey, or how high or low your path has taken you, this class will boost
your faith and build your fellowship circle! You will read and hear things long forgotten or freshly learned. It's a "don't
miss" event; the whole family will benefit! Come to the Parlor at 9:30 or 10:30 am and every Sunday until November 22.
OCTOBER 18 GAME – 6 more runners are needed for the game against the Lions next week. Sign up sheets are at
the coffee bar. Workers must complete an online test; information can be found at the coffee bar. Questions? Call Neil
Burmeister at 866-9088. OSLC members, non-members, friends, etc. are welcome. OSLC receives $50 for each runner.
NURSERY FOR TODDLERS – Children, toddler thru age 3, are welcome to the nursery during the 9:15 am service.
Take the elevator to ‗LL‘ and turn left. A state-of-the-art pager system will quietly alert you if you are needed.
NURSERY ATTENDANTS NEEDED – The nursery is open during the 9:15 am service to watch toddlers through 3
years old. We would like to prepare a pool of adult volunteers (21 and older) that is big enough to create a schedule where
each volunteer is needed only once each month. Call Mike Charles at 337-0940 if you are interested in joining this year's
pool. The schedule for attendants is created one month in advance and we can work with your busy calendar. Background
checks are required for all nursery workers. Information on that can be found by calling Michelle at 468-4065.
BE THE FIRST TO KNOW! – Join the Fellowship Express, a contact list of folks who will receive ‗express‘ emails
about special events, fellowship activities, opportunities at OSLC, etc. email in a fast, efficient manner. To ‗join‘,
email your name and email address to trichter@new.rr.com and copy info@oslc-gb.org.
YOUTH NIGHT – On nights when the Confirmation Youth meet, youth in grades 6 through 12 are welcome in the
Youth room from 3:30-7:30pm. A meal will be provided for a free will donation. Use the games, sit back and visit, do
some homework...all in a safe, Christian environment. The gym may also be available! Join us; feel free to bring a friend!
YARD WORK FOR EVERYONE! – Put November 7 on your calendar today, and then come to OSLC that day armed
with your yard rake. Help prepare the church lawn for the upcoming Wisconsin Winter. We‘ll start at 8am and be done
by noon! Many hands make light work, so please join us. Families welcome.
FEEDING THE HOMELESS MINISTRY –“Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you
something to drink? Then the King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of
mine, you did it for me.” Matthew 25:37, 40. The homeless shelter at St. John will open Nov 1st. Last spring, Our Saviour
members provided several meals for the residents and we would like to continue this ministry with a commitment of
providing one dinner each month. We will receive a schedule of available dates for dinners from the shelter in early
October. Meals (for approximately 45 people) need to be cooked outside the shelter and brought to the shelter ready to be
served by 5:30pm. We need people to help plan the menu and also to prepare and serve the meal. Donations of milk, fruit,
soup, paper products, or money to purchase items are always appreciated. Anyone wishing to work with us in this
ministry should contact Linda Callesen, 468-4819, Caroline Arndt 469-3140, or Gloria Morgan 468-6881.
A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.

DONATIONS REQUESTED – With Fish Fry Fridays back in full swing, we again ask for donations of Coke and Pepsi
products. Both regular and diet (and caffeine-free varieties) are needed. Your help is appreciated.
IT’S ADDING UP! – Please continue to place Coke Rewards Points in the Youth Board mailbox. Thanks for helping.
DO YOU TWITTER? – It‘s the newest thing in communications! You can now receive tweets on Twitter when OSLC
updates the website with new information about our ministries. Follow OSLC on Twitter at www.twitter.com/oslcgb.
PICK THEM UP TODAY – The minutes from the August Council meeting can be picked up from the Welcome Center.
The Oct-Dec issue of the Portals of Prayer is now available in the Narthex. Large print version available from the office.
WHAT DID YOU SAY? – The Preschool is currently running two fund raisers. If you would like to purchase Door
County Coffee products or Racine Kringles items, please contact the office for products, costs, etc.
PIZZA FUNDRAISER – The OSLC youth planning to attend the 2010 National Youth Gathering will be selling freshly
made Take & Bake one-topping pizzas on October 25th. No preorder needed. Cost $10 each. First come, first serve.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOE BOX COLLECTION PLANNED – ―Jesus said, Let the little children
come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14.”

LIFE QUOTE – ―Above all things, my faith motivates me to do as much as I can and strive to do more in the pro-life
movement. As a child of God, I know a truth that is stronger than anything the world can throw at me—the power of
eternal life through Christ. I cannot, because of who I am as a child of God, keep silent as my own generation is denied
the chance to exist.‖ Janice Nihill, a 17-year-old senior and student pro-life leader at the 2008 March for Life in
Washington D.C. This “Life Quote” is from Lutherans for Life –www.lutheransforlife.org

Your completed forms can be placed in the offering plate or placed in the Stewardship mailbox in the office hallway. Every Our Saviour household is asked to complete one pledge card. No matter how long you have been on the Christian journey, or how high or low your path has taken you, this class will boost your faith and build your fellowship circle! You will read and hear things long forgotten or freshly learned. It's a "don't miss" event; the whole family will benefit! Come to the Parlor at 9:30 or 10:30 am and every Sunday until November 22. OCTOBER 18 GAME – 6 more runners are needed for the game against the Lions next week. Sign up sheets are at the coffee bar. Workers must complete an online test; information can be found at the coffee bar. Questions? Call Neil Burmeister at 866-9088. OSLC members, non-members, friends, etc. are welcome. Call Mike Charles at 337-0940 if you are interested in joining this year's pool. The schedule for attendants is created one month in advance and we can work with your busy calendar. Background checks are required for all nursery workers. Information on that can be found by calling Michelle at 468-4065.

YARD WORK FOR EVERYONE! – Put November 7 on your calendar today, and then come to OSLC that day armed with your yard rake. Help prepare the church lawn for the upcoming Wisconsin Winter. We‘ll start at 8am and be done by noon! Many hands make light work, so please join us. Families welcome. FEEDING THE HOMELESS MINISTRY –“Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? Then the King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it for me.” Matthew 25:37, 40. The homeless shelter at St. John will open Nov 1st. Last spring, Our Saviour members provided several meals for the residents and we would like to continue this ministry with a commitment of providing one dinner each month. We will receive a schedule of available dates for dinners from the shelter in early October. Meals (for approximately 45 people) need to be cooked outside the shelter and brought to the shelter ready to be served by 5:30pm. We need people to help plan the menu and also to prepare and serve the meal. Donations of milk, fruit, soup, paper products, or money to purchase items are always appreciated. Anyone wishing to work with us in this ministry should contact Linda Callesen, 468-4819, Caroline Arndt 469-3140, or Gloria Morgan 468-6881. A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing. DONATIONS REQUESTED – With Fish Fry Fridays back in full swing, we again ask for donations of Coke and Pepsi products. LIFE QUOTE – ―Above all things, my faith motivates me to do as much as I can and strive to do more in the pro-life movement. As a child of God, I know a truth that is stronger than anything the world can throw at me—the power of eternal life through Christ. I cannot, because of who I am as a child of God, keep silent as my own generation is denied the chance to exist.‖ Janice Nihill, a 17-year-old senior and student pro-life leader at the 2008 March for Life in Washington D.C. This “Life Quote” is from Lutherans for Life –www.lutheransforlife.org
