COME IN LIKE A LAMB – March may come in like a lamb…and here at Our Saviour, we celebrate the Lamb of God
who came to suffer and die for our sins so that we may have eternal life with Him. We ask visitors to please fill out the
Fellowship Pad (it‟s in the hymnal rack) with the date, name, address, phone number, etc. Please come worship again!
LET THE LITTLE CHILDREN COME TO HIM – The nursery and Sunday School are in session today. Toddlers to
age 3 are welcome to the Nursery; children age 4 thru grade 6 are welcome to attend Sunday School (registration forms
can be found in the office hallway). The nursery is located in the basement; SS children are dismissed to class after the
Children‟s Message at the 9:15 am service. Children‟s bulletins, for ages 3-6 and 7-12, can be found in the Narthex.
REGISTER NOW FOR PRESCHOOL – Will your child be 3 or 4 years old on September 1, 2010? Do you want them
to attend preschool in a loving, Christian environment? OSL Preschool is now accepting registration for the 2010-11
school year - MWF (8:30-11:30) program for 4- and 5-year-olds / T-TH program for 3-year-olds from 8:30-10:30am and
(hopefully) a 12:30-2:30pm (Note: A minimum number of students are needed to run any class). If you, your neighbors or
your friends are looking for a great preschool, ask them to call Christina, Preschool Director, at 468-3596.
2. SPECIAL MESSAGE – During Lent, you are encouraged to attend worship on Sunday and again on Thursday for the
special Lenten worship services held at 12:15 and 7pm. Lenten Devotions are available in the Narthex from LAMP.
DON’T MISS ANOTHER YOUTH NIGHT! – For youth in grades 6-12…Please join us this week Wednesday
beginning at 3pm. A $3 donation is requested for a meal served around 5:15 pm. Questions? Ask Pastor Greg.
JR AND SR HIGH YOUTH – Additional helpers are needed in the nursery on Sunday mornings. You will work with
an adult supervisor and play with the 2-4 year olds during the 9:15 service. If you acolyte at the early or late services,
No man ever got lost walking on a straight road.
LWML – We're looking for more women interested in Lutheran Women in Mission (aka LWML.) If you've always
wanted to be a missionary, pray for a missionary, or support missions here and all over the world, this is the perfect
opportunity. Our next meeting will be Monday, March 8, at 7:00 in the parlor. Come and find out what we're all about. If
you need childcare, tell Stephenie ASAP, and we'll see what we can do. Stephhov@hotmail.com or 264-8317.
IT’S FRIDAY…IT’S LENT! – The OSLC Monthly Fish Fry for March comes during the Lenten season. Ask your
Catholic friends to join you at the areas best Fish Fry on March 12. Serving from 5-7pm. Carry-out orders can be called
in BEFORE 4:15 pm on Friday. Come early so you aren‟t disappointed if we run out!! Chicken strips also available.
OPEN GYM AT OSLC! – Join members of OSLC and their friends for an evening of basketball. Open Gym will held on
Sundays from 6:30pm until 8:30pm. Come as you are able! Questions can be directed to Denny Steinmann at 826-2007.
EASTER FLOWERS – Sign up sheets can be found in the Narthex for Easter flowers. Lilies, daffodils and tulips are
this year‟s choices. The deadline for sign up is Sunday, March 21.
ST JOHN MINISTRY UPDATE – We are currently providing an evening meal to the guests at St John once a month.
Those who have served in this ministry have gained as much as they have given – not for their own glory, but knowing
that they are just following our Lord's command “Love your neighbor as yourself”. The guests at the shelter truly
appreciate the “home cooked” meals – their smiles speak volumes. One misconception is that the homeless don't have
jobs. Actually some go to sleep quite early because they have to get up early and walk to their place of employment.
These are people who, for a variety of reasons, are homeless. We will be providing evening meals March 19 and 28, and
April 15. We'll soon be contacting those of you who have already volunteered to help by providing food. Anyone else
who would like to join us may contact the office at 468-4065. Financial donations are always appreciated; please write
your name and church envelope # on a plain envelope and indicate “Homeless Shelter Meals” on the envelope. Donations
are used to purchase meat, milk, juice, paper plates, cups, forks, knives, spoons, etc. We ask for your prayers that the Lord
would continue to guide us in this ministry.
ARE YOU A GIVER? – Opportunities abound here at Our Saviour…you can give until it hurts or it can be painless!
Cans of Coke and Pepsi products - for the monthly Fish Fry (regular, diet and caffeine-free); Prescription pill bottles -
remove the label and bring with the cap on; Cell phones – are recycled for local domestic abuse victims and the „Cell
Phones for Soldiers‟ program; Non-perishable food - Manna for Life food pantry (ongoing); Personal care/cleaning
supplies - Help for the Homeless campaign (until March 21) benefits 43 area homeless shelters. We thank those who are
participating in these outreach opportunities. Donation containers are in the office hallway by the coat rack.
COUNCIL MINUTES – Copies of the January minutes are now available at the Welcome Center.
FUND RAISING PROJECTS – Is your group or board planning a fundraiser? Do you have a great idea for a fund-
raiser? To coordinate fund raising projects, the Board of Stewardship asks that you run your ideas and plans through
Pastor Dave. This will allow us to maximize and coordinate our efforts in several ways. Thanks!
SEROOGY’S FUNDRAISER – Purchase Fudge Eggs, chocolate bunnies or lambs and boxes of caramel or assorted
Seroogy‟s chocolates at the same price as in the store but the OSLC Preschool receives 50% of the sale price. Orders will
be ready for pick up by March 28. Please contact the office (468-4065) if interested; the deadline for accepting orders is
Friday, March 12. Assorted candy bars (we now have SIX flavors) are also available for purchase in the office anytime.
GOT SCRIP? – Copp‟s, Festival, Woodman‟s, Walgreen‟s, ShopKo, Kohl‟s, Fleet Farm, WalMart, Kwik Trip, BP, Shell
AND MORE are available. Our Saviour receives a % from each SCRIP card sold and you use the cards just like cash at
your favorite stores. For more information, stop at the Welcome Center or call the office (468-4065) during the week.
SKATE DATE TODAY – Sunday from 12-2:15pm at the DePere Ice & Rec Center (by the Fairgrounds). Cost is $3 ice
fee plus $2 skate rental. Please plan to join us. Check the youth bulletin board for more details.
LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK – Today (Sunday) we celebrate Lutheran Schools Week with a focus on the ministry
of our NEW Lutheran High School. Students and faculty members will assist in leading worship and share information
about the excellent ministry taking place there. Learn how we continue to strive to raise Christian leaders through this
vital high school ministry. Chris Nelson will be available after service to answer any questions you have.
8th GRADE PLACEMENT TEST, SATURDAY, MARCH 13TH 9-NOON – Students do not need to pre-register but
do need to bring a calculator and be in N.E.W. High School (1311 S Robinson St) before 9am.

office hallway). You will also receive a $5 gift certificate, for your use with any future order.
LIFE QUOTE – “I think it is vital that society understands and appreciates the sanctity of every human life whether it is
a developing child in the womb or somebody approaching the end of their life. When I graduate and become a doctor I am
hoping to be able to use my skills to help save lives. I think abortion is never the answer and hope that one day, as a
doctor, I will be able to help women to make the right decision.” Siobhan Fearon, 19, of Hull York Medical School
