The document discusses the mystery of the Holy Trinity. It explains that the Trinity is fundamental to salvation through Jesus Christ and was worth sacrificing for. The Trinity consists of three co-eternal and co-equal persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - who share one divine essence. There is unity within the Godhead and each person has a distinct role yet they are perfectly united. Biblical evidence shows God's oneness, threeness, tri-unity, and equal authority within the Trinity.

Three Early Christian Creeds (from https://www.ccel.org/creeds/creeds.txt)
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord:
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary:
Suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell;
The third day he rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead, I believe in the Holy Ghost,
I believe in the holy catholic church, the communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body,
And the life everlasting. Amen.
The Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed (A.D. 381)
I believe in One God,
The Father Almighty,
Maker of Heaven and Earth,
And of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
The Son of God,
The Only-Begotten, begotten of the Father before all ages;
Light of Light;
True God of True God;
Begotten, not made;
Of one essence with the Father,
By Whom all things were made;
Who for us men and for our salvation
Came down from Heaven,
And was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary,
And became man.
And He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate,
And suffered, and was buried.
And the third day He arose again,
According to the Scriptures,
And ascended into Heaven,
And sits at the right hand of the Father;
And He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead;
Whose Kingdom shall have no end.
And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life,
Who proceeds from the Father;
Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified;
Who spoke by the prophets.
And in One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins.
I look for the resurrection of the dead,
And the life of the world to come.
The “Athanasian” Creed
Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the catholic faith;
Which faith except every one do keep whole and undefiled, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly.
And the catholic faith is this: That we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity;
Neither confounding the persons nor dividing the substance.
For there is one person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Spirit.
But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is all one, the glory equal, the majesty
coeternal.
Such as the Father is, such is the Son, and such is the Holy Spirit.
The Father uncreated, the Son uncreated, and the Holy Spirit uncreated.
The Father incomprehensible, the Son incomprehensible, and the Holy Spirit incomprehensible.
The Father eternal, the Son eternal, and the Holy Spirit eternal. ...

This document provides background information and summaries of three books by Oswald Chambers: Our Brilliant Heritage, Grow Up into Him, and As He Walked. It discusses when and where Chambers gave the lectures that formed the basis for the books, as well as their subsequent publication histories as articles and booklets. The document also includes introductory notes and summaries of the contents and themes of each book.
This document discusses Catholic beliefs as summarized in creeds like the Nicene Creed. It explains that the Nicene Creed, written in 325 AD and revised in 381 AD, outlines 12 key beliefs of Catholics including: believing in one God who is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that Jesus Christ is God and was crucified for humanity's salvation; and belief in one holy Church and resurrection of the dead. The document also notes that the Trinity is one of Catholicism's most fundamental doctrines, teaching that God exists as three persons - Father, Son, Holy Spirit - but is one divine Being.
The Apostles' Creed is divided into 12 sections or articles that outline key beliefs of Christianity. The first article states belief in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. Subsequent articles address beliefs about Jesus Christ, his suffering and resurrection, the Holy Spirit, the Catholic Church, forgiveness of sins, resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. The Creed summarizes the fundamental tenets of Christian faith.
The document discusses the Lutheran understanding of worship as being centered on God's action toward humanity rather than humanity's action toward God. It notes that worship, according to Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions, is defined as faith - believing the Gospel and receiving forgiveness of sins and eternal life from God by His grace. The common definition of worship as honoring or revering God through human acts is considered misguided, as the Lutheran view is that worship originates from God and has Him as the giver and humanity as the receivers of His gifts.
This document discusses the Apostles' Creed and what it means to believe in Jesus Christ. It explains that to believe in Jesus Christ means:
1) To be in a covenant relationship with God and live with and for God, trusting Him with your life.
2) That Jesus perfectly fulfilled the roles of prophet, priest, and king for humanity by revealing God, reconciling people to God through His sacrifice, and guiding, protecting, and strengthening believers.
3) That Jesus was uniquely God incarnate who died and rose from the dead, making Him either Lord, a liar, or lunatic - nothing less. Belief in Jesus reveals much about one's character.
These slides are intended to explain Christmas to those who may be unfamiliar, such as international students. The perspective is from the Bible. Good for presentations.
The document provides information about the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed. It discusses the origins and history of the Apostles' Creed, including the medieval belief that each apostle contributed a clause. It notes that while the apostolic authorship is debated, the creed's teachings are consistent with the Apostolic Age. The document then presents the full text of the Nicene Creed and provides a brief explanation and context for some of its clauses and statements of belief.
The document provides an overview of the third article of the Apostle's Creed regarding sanctification. It defines key terms like sanctum, sanctification, and pneumatology. It also discusses the historical context around debates over sanctification in the early church, middle ages, and Reformation. The Lutheran perspective is presented as distinguishing clearly between justification and sanctification, and emphasizing the role of the Holy Spirit, gifts, and church in the process of sanctification.
The document discusses the importance of studying the doctrine of the Trinity. It provides several reasons why the Trinity is central to Christianity, notably that it is necessary for the atoning work of Christ. Removing the Trinity would cause the Christian faith to disintegrate. The document also explores scriptural support for the Trinity and how each person of the Godhead was involved in salvation through Jesus's life, death and resurrection.
Articles of belief which are regarded as essential or a brief summary of Christian doctrine. The Creed can be viewed as a response to the desire to believe and to have faith to what has been revealed to us. Just like the apostles of the old, the San Antonio Abad Parish community believes in the Word who has come down to earth in the person of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

This document discusses the three parts of the Christian life according to Philippians 3:10 - to believe, belong, and become. It emphasizes that the driving passion in worship should be to glorify God in Christ. Worship is described as the highest Christian occupation and the reason why God called us. Five biblical non-negotiables of worship are outlined: humanity, honesty, clarity, community, and diversity. Worship should reflect the unity and diversity of heaven and involve offering our best service to God.

Mantra Yoga is an exact science. "Mananat trayate iti mantrah- by the Manana (constant thinking or recollection) of which one is protected or is released from the round of births and deaths, is Mantra." That is called Mantra by the meditation (Manana) on which the Jiva or the individual soul attains freedom from sin, enjoyment in heaven and final liberation, and by the aid of which it attains in full the fourfold fruit (Chaturvarga), i.e., Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. A Mantra is so called because it is achieved by the mental process.
The Revelation Chapter 7 Working Copy.docxFred Gosnell
John witnesses the sealing of God's 144,000 witnesses, and he hears the crying out or shouting of an unnumbered multitude of those who have been saved during the great tribulation.
This is an intermission scene before opening the seventh seal. We have seen six seals opened revealing of the events that would shortly occur. The first 4 reveal what was to occur in the great tribulation during the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in AD70.
The fifth seal reveals the question from those slain as to when the Lord would avenge their death. The sixth seal reveals the answer to them from the One on the throne and of the Lamb which would be the punishment of their persecutors and accomplices. John sees four messengers/angels holding back the four winds of the earth & keeping them from blowing on the earth, the sea or any tree. In this figurative language, these are not heavenly messengers/angels. These represent those who are trying to restrain the word of God everywhere. Their efforts are restrained by the messenger in verse 2, preventing them from holding back the 4 winds, the spread of the gospel of Christ by His messengers/angels. These 4 winds stand on the four corners of the earth, Rome’s worldwide influence to stop its spread. But the gospel will be preached in all the earth. See the study for the Bible passages that support this. John hears the commands given relating to the sealing of the servants of God and the figurative number representing them. John sees a great multitude standing before the throne of all nations and kindreds and people and tongues who are clothed with white robes. All the messengers/angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four beasts fell before the throne and worshipped God. One of the elders asks John what those were that were wearing white robes. John said he knew and the elder identifies them. The chapter ends with his explanation.

Tales of This and Another Life - Chapters.pdfMashaL38
This book is one of the best of the translated ones, for it has a warning character for all those who find themselves in the experience of material life. Irmão X provides a shrewd way of describing the subtleties and weaknesses that can jeopardize our intentions, making us more attentive and vigilant by providing us with his wise pages, reminding us between the lines of the Master's words: "Pray and watch."

1. 5. CCC: 232-237 Blessed Trinity
44. What is the central mystery of
Christian faith and life?
232-237
The central mystery of Christian faith
and life is the mystery of the Most
Blessed Trinity. Christians are baptized
in the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Introduction:
The most important divine secret of
faith that Jesus Christ revealed to us:
the mystery of the Holy Trinity. God is
one in essence and triune in persons: it
is the revelation of his intimate life. We
must try to know it and live it! The
Creed or Symbol is the explanation of
the Trinitarian mystery.
2. The Blessed Trinity, mystery of the one true God and three Real distinct
Persons
The mysteries are not understood, but by knowing them, faith becomes firm
and operative.
Mystery of the Most Holy Trinity :
• In God there is only one essence and three distinct persons: Father, Son
and Holy Spirit, each of whom is God, without being three gods but one
and only God.
Revelation: work of the Trinity
Creation, redemption and sanctification are attributed, respectively, to the
Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. But all three actions are actions of God.
Hence, when we thank God for all that he has done for us, we have to thank
God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Indwelling of the Trinity in the soul in grace
• Man who lives in grace is a living temple of the Most Blessed Trinity (cf.
John 14:23).
• From the day of our baptism, if we do not reject God because of mortal
sin, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are in our soul.
• We have God within us to sanctify us, to help us, to be with us, because
he loves us.
3. In Heaven we shall see the Blessed Trinity
The great prize of heaven consists in seeing God, contemplating, praising,
loving and enjoying the Most Blessed Trinity for all eternity:
• All the greatness, all the beauty, all the goodness of God is poured out
upon this poor creature that each one of us is.
In heaven the soul will have the possibility of seeing what Moses wanted to
see on earth: the majesty of God.
We ought to honor and glorify the Holy Trinity
God loves us in an incredible way. We have to correspond to so much love,
and the Christian life has to be a continuous praise to the Trinity.
We profess faith in the Most Holy Trinity when:
• we make the sign of the Cross, saying "in the name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit";
• we pray the "Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit“;
• we recite the Gloria or the Creed at Holy Mass, and at the end of the
Eucharistic Prayer.
Resolutions:
• Learn the Creed and recite it with devotion.
• Consider that the Holy Trinity - God Himself - is in the soul in grace, and
that living in grace is the only truly important thing.
