RESTING THEIR VOICES – The choir will take a short break during the month of January and begin meeting again on
Tuesdays at 7:00 pm beginning February 2. We thank them for the beautifying our services with their music.
LITTLE ONES GROW UP SO FAST! – Did your little one grow up faster than you expected? Do you need a toddler
bed for that „next step‟ in his/her life? A toddler bed has been donated for someone if need. If that is you and your little
one, please call Michelle in the office at (920) 468-4065.
AN UPCOMING OPPORTUNITY – Our ministry of providing a hot meal to the homeless is going well. Thank you so
much to those of you who provided our salad this past month. After serving our meal, all the extra food was taken to
Freedom House that night. Freedom House is currently serving 12 families and they were very appreciative of the
donations we provided. Our next meal at St. John's will be Thursday, January 21st. We are looking for volunteers who
would like to make a broccoli salad (recipe can be provided) or bake a 9" x 13" pan of their favorite bar for a dessert.
The main meal will be shredded chicken sandwiches with cooked carrots in a brown sugar sauce. The salads and dessert
need to be in the church kitchen by 4pm on the 21st. If you would like to make either a salad or a dessert, please contact
the church office by Tuesday, January 12th (468-4065). Thank you for your prayers and support of this ministry.
SODA DONATIONS ACCEPTED – Cans of Coke and Pepsi products are again requested for the monthly Fish Fry.
Regular, diet and caffeine-free (both regular and diet) are needed. Make the Fish Fry the „place to be‟ on the second
Friday of every month (until May).
OUR VERY OWN LIBRARY – Is it possible that you don‟t know that OSLC has a library? Books, DVD‟s, CD‟s and
VHS tapes are all available to check out, take home, enjoy and return. Books should come back in two weeks; all other
media are requested back in seven days. It‟s just like the county library system…find the item you want, fill out the card
with your name, phone # and the date taken, place the card in the box and take the item home. New items added
frequently so check us out often.
CENSUS JOBS AVAILABLE – Check out the information on the Member-to-Member board about test days and sites
for testing for census jobs coming in Spring. Testing is offered throughout Northeast Wisconsin and the Fox Cities.
KINDERGARTEN OPEN HOUSE – Come to the Kindergarten Open House on January 12 at 6:30pm. Parents and
children welcome. Get your questions answered, gather information, see the room, and meet the teacher, Miss Spatz. For
more information, please call Trinity Lutheran School at 655-HOPE (4673).
FREE BASKETBALL NIGHT AT NEWLHS – On Tuesday, January 19, members of Our Saviour are invited to attend
the NEWLHS Boy‟s Basketball games free of charge (just make sure you mention at the door that you are a member of
Our Saviour). Boys from the Trinity/Redeemer teams will play a short game during that night‟s half-time activities.
Members of the Redeemer/Trinity 'A' boy's basketball team will be announced at the end of half-time.
7TH GRADE VISITATION DAY AT NEW LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL – On Wednesday, January 20 from 9:30-
11:30am, NEWLHS will host a special visitation day for 7th graders. That morning all visiting students will learn more
about the excellent Christian education provided by the school as well as meet with the teachers, take a tour of the facility,
learn about the curriculum and extra-curricular programs and hear from past and current students about how attending
NEW Lutheran High School has helped to strengthen their leadership abilities for Christ. For more information, please
call Kristin Voskamp or Chris Nelson at (920) 469-6810. The school also provides private tours for students and parents,

LIFE QUOTE – “Abortion and „mercy killing‟ are hopeless solutions to human problems in a sinful world, but God has
words of hope no matter what the situation: „[C]hoose life, that you and your offspring may live‟ (Deuteronomy 30:19).”
