Name the solute and solvent in the following solution: Kool-aid Solvent- Water Solute- Kool-aid
Types of Solutions
Concentrated solution- when there’s more solute and less solvent. Ex: Concentrated Orange Juice
Diluted solution- when there’s less solute and more solvent Ex: Watered down drinks
Many solutions state the concentration by percentages. Ex: Orange Juice = 100% Minute maid = 10%
Saturated solution- when the solute equals solvent. It has reached the point of solubility at a given temperature.
Unsaturated Solution- when a solution needs more solute to reach the point of solubility.
Supersaturated solution- when there’s more solute than solvent. It has passed the point of solubility.
