Miguel worked on creating a school magazine and music magazine over the course of several months. He began by setting up templates and choosing color schemes and fonts for the magazines. Miguel then took photos, laid out pages, and added elements like logos and pricing information. After finishing the school magazine, he planned the music magazine and set up page designs. Miguel placed photos and information on the pages, got feedback, and edited his work. He ultimately embedded the magazines on his WordPress site and handed them in for his Foundation Portfolio in Media Studies unit.

Summer Holidays
Monday 8th September Firstly I began by setting up the templates for my school
magazine (front cover and contents page) and my music
magazine (front cover, contents page an double page spread).
Monday 15th September I then began creating my school magazine. I started with
choosing the colour scheme which was red. Yellow and blue
which are part of the colours of the school bage.
Monday 22rd September I then started choosing my font design fro my heading which is
“ St Pauls Times” in a romanal design with the St pauls logo on

2. each side to carry on the theme.
Monday 29th September I carried on with the same thing with doing the back color which
is a white at the top part fading into a light red, again linking it
into the colour scheme of my school. I then thought of about
slogans to put on my front cover like “Hard work pays off”.
Monday 6th October I then experimented with taking picture of a medium close up
until I was happy with one, and after about 8 different photos I
picked the one with my friend on a laptop and I think its really
effective and was my best photo.
Monday 13th October I then worked on editing my photo and got it done in this week.
Monday 20st October I then added in the little thing like the Facebook and twitter logo,
barcode and pricing.
Half Term
Monday 3th November Just finishing up on school magazine, ive practically finished and
getting feedback
Monday 10th November Finished feedback on changing background colour and bordering
photos
Monday 17th November Started planning my musicmagazine and finished planning in tha
week.
Monday 24th November Started setting up back covers for my front cover, contents page
and double page spread.
Monday 1nd December Carried on from last lesson.
Monday 8th December Started laying out the boxing for pictures and images.

3. Monday 15th December Layout for every page is complete
Christmas Holidays
I took pictures during this time and when I got back started editing the pictures.
Monday 5th January Placing picture on every page and finishingof some editing
(lighting mostly) and added in all my information on my front
cover, content sand double page spread.
