William Hennegan completed work on his foundation portfolio in media studies over the fall term. This included researching magazine styles, analyzing exemplar covers, creating audience profiles, developing a flat plan and photography plan, and conducting primary research through surveys. He worked on preliminary and main tasks for his school magazine cover in Photoshop, adding images, cover lines, and other design elements. By the end of the term, William had finished drafts of his magazine cover and contents page, making corrections and refinements to fonts, layouts, and design elements to create an aesthetically pleasing style. He then uploaded all of his coursework to his WordPress blog.

Monday 5th December In my recent lessons I started my maintask and created a basic house style
for my magazine front cover. I used the fonts 'Market Deco' and 'Olympic
Branding'. I have finished my barcode, I only need to add in the price of my
magazine and the barcode will be finished.

5. Wednesday 4th January Today I added 4 smaller images to my cover lines. I cropped, resizedand
positionedthe images according to my cover less. These bring more
attentionto the cover lines and make the front cover more appealing and
eye catching to readers.
Added a list of pages and adjusted the header to fit correctly wit the
intended style. I also added new bleeds to keep the format I have intended
for my contents.
Monday 9th January I found a finite style for my contents page
In today's lesson, I changed the strokes and in some cases removedthem to
make the image seem closer to its counterpart. I also realized and added
some more text to fill space and make it appear more appealing.

7. Friday 27th In today's lesson, I movedthe 'Nirvana Logo',correctedsome spelling and
punctuation,added the mastheadabove the Barcode and re-aligned text
with shapes to make the text stand out more. All of these add to the
aesthetically pleasing style.
Monday 30th After editing the magazine pages (specificallythe barcode and puff
promotion) I finished, savedand then uploaded all three of the pages and
my other coursework onto the my word press account
