1) This lesson plan is for a 6th grade English class with 25 students between 10-11 years old. The class meets twice a week for 40 and 35 minutes. 2) The main aims of this lesson are to introduce a new unit on daily activities, teach telling time in English, and learn vocabulary for daily activities. 3) The lesson includes a warm-up activity identifying time on a clock, reviewing homework from the previous lesson, an activity matching daily activities to times, and writing sentences with pictures of daily activities activities. Class description
There are twenty-five students in this group between 10 and 11 years-old.
They have English classes twice a week, for 40 minutes on Wednesdays and
35 minutes on Fridays. They have started studying English in 5th
year. They
come to classes after the break both times, usually with lots of energy but
when they are assigned tasks they calm down and work effectively.
Main aim
By the end of the lesson the students will have been introduced to the new
unit, write the time in English and learn vocabulary about daily activities.
