Centre Name and Number:

Student Name and Unique Learner Number:

Project proposal title and date:
Ptolomaea 17/04/22
Main area of activity:
Film and photography
Rationale:
So far this year we’ve has 3 projects, one of them having two parts.
 First, we made a music video, for that project I used the song “Somos – Alok & Melim” and
I made a music video that had a nature/family/friends/love theme. From that project I was
able to improve my editing skills and acquire filming skills.
 Second, we had an audio project, which I made a story about a ghost and narrated it, then
I added a voice effect to my voice and a sound effect in the story. From that project I learned
how to create sound effects through foley and improved my audio editing skills.
 Third, we had the Adventure part 1 project, which we had to create a movie idea and then
make a poster, a magazine cover and a double page spread about it. From this project I
learned how to use Photoshop to a basic, but useful, level.
 Fourth, on the Adventure part 2 project we had to create an animation on Photoshop to
simulate a video game based on the movie that we did on Adventure part 1; we also had to
create an original soundtrack for our game, and we used beepbox for it. From this project I
not only improved my Photoshop skills, but I also learned how to create animations on
Photoshop; furthermore, I also learned how to make my own sound effects and soundtrack
on a simple level.
Considering that my current project is to make a film and a poster, I will use the skills I acquired on
our first and third projects and use them to achieve the results I need.
The most similar production to this one would be the music video project; based on what I learned
during that project, I know better what to do this time and it could save me time. I want to use the
same process I used for the music video because I believe it worked well.
Project Concept:
I am going to make a horror film and the story will be about a girl that murders all her friends; the
story will start with friends that go to the girl’s house for a small party. Then, suddenly, the girl starts
arguing with someone and kills them; after that she kills all her friends and hides them in her garage.
She wakes up the next morning in her bed and couldn’t remember of anything that happened the
night before; she didn’t see any of her friends around, so she assumed they all went home.
Throughout the day she tries to message her friends, but no one answers, and she starts to get
worried; then she notices, on the corner of her room, kind of hidden, the clothes she wore the night
before. She reaches for her clothes and see that it’s all covered in blood; at this point she starts to
panic trying to remember what happens, she rushes to the kitchen to get a glass of water trying to
calm down. Then, she notices a weird smell coming from the garage; she goes to investigate and
finds all her friends dead but arranged as if they were alive. One of them had a camera on their
hands, she takes the camera to watch the footage and first she only sees everyone having fun, but
then suddenly she sees herself killing everyone. She just stands there in shock, and the film ends
with that scene.

Tasks to be Completed: Specific Tasks
1 Initial plans, background
research & proposal
 Do my Pre-Proposal: the Pre-Proposal will be a
summary of what I want to make, and the kind of
story I want to make.
 Initial reaction: on the initial reaction I will write
about my thoughts for the FMP, regarding what
could I make, what I’m good at, etc.
 Mind map: I will create a mind map exploring 3
potential ideas for my film.
 Mood Board & Mood Board analysis: for the mood
board I’m going to collect pictures that reflect the
theme of my film and put them on a slide. For the
analysis I will analyse the images I gathered and
how they will influence my final product.
 Influence/inspiration: on this part I will explain the
main influences to my film idea and describe what
they are.
 Skills Audit: evaluate my skills regarding software
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
I plan on using an evaluation PowerPoint at the end of the project, like we did with all the projects
so far, and weekly write what I did, what went well and what didn’t so I can evaluate what I need to
get rid of and what I need to improve on my project. Also, I am planning to ask other people’s
opinions throughout the whole process, because I believe that by doing so, I have a higher chance
of getting the best possible outcome for my end product, as asking different people will give me a
different perspective of my project.

1.2 FMP Proposal 2022.docx

  • 1. Proposal 1 Centre Name and Number: York College 48357 Student Name and Unique Learner Number: Andina Bispo de Souza 417816 Project proposal title and date: Ptolomaea 17/04/22 Main area of activity: Film and photography Rationale: So far this year we’ve has 3 projects, one of them having two parts.  First, we made a music video, for that project I used the song “Somos – Alok & Melim” and I made a music video that had a nature/family/friends/love theme. From that project I was able to improve my editing skills and acquire filming skills.  Second, we had an audio project, which I made a story about a ghost and narrated it, then I added a voice effect to my voice and a sound effect in the story. From that project I learned how to create sound effects through foley and improved my audio editing skills.  Third, we had the Adventure part 1 project, which we had to create a movie idea and then make a poster, a magazine cover and a double page spread about it. From this project I learned how to use Photoshop to a basic, but useful, level.  Fourth, on the Adventure part 2 project we had to create an animation on Photoshop to simulate a video game based on the movie that we did on Adventure part 1; we also had to create an original soundtrack for our game, and we used beepbox for it. From this project I not only improved my Photoshop skills, but I also learned how to create animations on Photoshop; furthermore, I also learned how to make my own sound effects and soundtrack on a simple level. Considering that my current project is to make a film and a poster, I will use the skills I acquired on our first and third projects and use them to achieve the results I need. The most similar production to this one would be the music video project; based on what I learned during that project, I know better what to do this time and it could save me time. I want to use the same process I used for the music video because I believe it worked well. Project Concept: I am going to make a horror film and the story will be about a girl that murders all her friends; the story will start with friends that go to the girl’s house for a small party. Then, suddenly, the girl starts arguing with someone and kills them; after that she kills all her friends and hides them in her garage. She wakes up the next morning in her bed and couldn’t remember of anything that happened the night before; she didn’t see any of her friends around, so she assumed they all went home. Throughout the day she tries to message her friends, but no one answers, and she starts to get worried; then she notices, on the corner of her room, kind of hidden, the clothes she wore the night before. She reaches for her clothes and see that it’s all covered in blood; at this point she starts to panic trying to remember what happens, she rushes to the kitchen to get a glass of water trying to calm down. Then, she notices a weird smell coming from the garage; she goes to investigate and finds all her friends dead but arranged as if they were alive. One of them had a camera on their hands, she takes the camera to watch the footage and first she only sees everyone having fun, but then suddenly she sees herself killing everyone. She just stands there in shock, and the film ends with that scene.
