Initial Reaction
• I am very excited to start this project as I get to create something that I actually want to create. I think being
able to create something that I’m actually really interested in will help in adding lots of detail. Adding enough
detail is something I personally think I have struggled with throughout this whole year. I find it hard to find
enough to talk about without making it seem as though I am rambling on, for this project I am definitely going
to be really carefully thinking about what I need to be talking about instead of just trying to fill up a page with
text I will be writing exactly what I need to say and if that doesn’t take up a whole page I need to not stress and
just ensure that the text I have written includes all the necessary detail.
• This project is especially crucial as it determines whether or not I will continue on to next year and also a
certain amount of UCAS points I will get at the end of the two year course. It is however quite nerve wracking
to think that my future depends on this one project and not any of the work I have completed over the whole
year. I personally don’t work well under stress, and tend to procrastinate a lot when I get stressed out, I need to
try my best to make sure that this doesn’t happen in this project as it will have a disastrous effect on my place
on this course.
• I am also a little worried with the fact that none of the teachers on my course specialise in what I am wanting
to focus on. Although they will definitely be able to help with other aspects of what I could be creating, the
main focus which is digital art I will be sort of figuring out myself. However because I am so passionate about
digital art I think that it will end up being fine.
Initial Reaction
At the current moment I am still not entirely sure on what I could create but I know I want to focus on digital art. There are
lots of things surrounding this theme that I could make so I am not worried about being unable to come up with an idea. I
want to focus on digital art as it is something I am really passionate about and wanting to do in my future career. I am
looking forward to finding products that I could create surrounding this besides the obvious printed canvas product. Below I
have included some of my previous pieces of digital art, so it is clear from the start what kind of creative path I am wanting
to go down in this project. These pieces were created last year for my AS level final project. Creating these pieces is what
actually inspired me to stick to creating digital art, as they really interested me and I could see a lot of potential within
them. Creating them also in a way inspired me to join this course, I found that doing a levels was restricting my creatively
and I was focusing on things that weren’t relevant to me or my future, switching to this course has allowed me more of an
opportunity to create my art and gain confidence and knowledge in the software that I could use to develop it even further.
Initial ReactionStarting this course I already knew what I wanted to focus on, Digital Art. Completing the projects we had created
throughout the year helped to solidify this fact. Doing the other projects helped me to focus on other media
aspects, I found this helped me to decide as I couldn't bring my art into every project, I had to go and do something
entirely new. This however helped me to fully embrace the idea of doing something out of the ordinary which I fully
enjoyed despite not really connecting with any of the projects. In the print project I did manage to bring my art into
the final product, we were creating a magazine (Front Cover, double page spread) and a website. From this I know
that I am definitely not interested in magazines, however I found the website creating more interesting, so looking
at that is definitely an option.
Potential Ideas
To make sure that I make the right choice on what to create I am
going to explore all the ideas (Green and Orange). This will me to
see what is going to be possible to create under that header. It will
also give me a chance to explore all ideas instead of going for the
first idea that jumps out at me, ensuring that I get the idea that fits
the best for me.
FMP
A Themed
Portfolio
This would be a portfolio that
focuses on one common theme
such as a colour or an object.
The only qualms that I have with creating this is it
doesn’t have a direct audience, meaning that it
doesn’t really have a purpose. I need to create
something that has an audience as this will give me a
more solid foundation for creating my FMP.
I could make this with both the edited final digital art
pieces and also the original unedited photos. I think
that this could be quite interesting as you could see
the before and after. I could also include photos of the
process so they understand how I create my art a little
bit more, helping them to connect.
The portfolio would be made
up of original photos and the
final edited ones. It would
include pieces of writing that
would explain the processes.
I’m not sure what products I could create
alongside of this, as I view a portfolio as
personal. Made for either the artist
themselves, or for educational reasons. Due
to this I’m not sure who the target audience
would be and therefore I don’t know what
else the audience would want to see
alongside the portfolio.
Although this is an idea in itself,
a themed portfolio can be used
in conjunction with other
projects
Themed
Portfolio
Art Exhibition
This would most likely not involve actually having an art exhibition, as
that would be very hard to put together in the time available. Instead I
would simply be advertising about the exhibition.
The advertising would involve creating
posters, maybe a short animation
which shows off the art.
Inside the exhibition I want to have things to sell with my
artwork and contact details. I’m thinking of creating T-
shirt, Key-rings and posters.
When the audience arrive at the exhibition I want
them to be give a lanyard, this will have a picture of
my art on with my contact details also. They will also
be handed a guide book. This will show the audience
little previews of the artworks, it will also include the
original images
With creating an art exhibition I would need
to create lots of products to go alongside it.
I’m looking forward to doing this as I wont be
focusing all my attention on just one project
which I think I would find quite boring,
instead doing lots of little projects.
The main part of this project will be
creating the actual art pieces. This is
because I will need to take lots of images
and then actually sit down to create the
pieces. Creating the pieces could actually
take a couple of weeks.
Before starting production I would need to find a theme to the
exhibition, whether that be a colour, object or style of art. Doing
this will help tie my whole project together as having several
pieces of art without something to bring them together just
seems sort of pointless.
This project could also involve the themed
portfolio as I would need a set portfolio of
pieces that I would be showcasing.
Create several different images that
will be the basis of the whole project
Side products; Digital walkthrough, T-shirts, Lanyards,
Posters, Guidebook
Need to think of a theme for the exhibition, maybe My Year…
(this would be art created from various events that have
happened this year. Distortion ( This would fit as the art does
look very distorted and it is hard to tell what the original
images were) Light Distortion ( I have a load of images made
around this theme, so this would also work however I would
quite like to create something entirely new) A colour, just
choose a colour that the whole project is focused on.
Website
For me this product would be more of a
side piece and not a main focus. This is
because I think there is only so much
you can do for a website without it
looking overdone and not maintaining
the professional appeal. I also think
there's not many side products you can
make with the website as the main
product. Having it as a side product
would be more beneficial.
A website could be used as an
advertising method. I could use it as a
place where people can go for more
information.
A website could also be
used for building up an
email list.
Homeware
I would be creating a
homeware range with the
design being made with my
digital artwork.
I think this would be a really fun
product to create as there are lots
of different products within this
that could be created.
Although there is a lot of
different products that could be
created within this topic, I
would also like to create other
products outside of that. This
could be advertising a new
homeware shop opening, a
website etc.
I think it would also be fun to create
products out of the ordinary for
traditional homeware. Something
that would be more modern to
match the look of my digital
artwork.
Might be interesting to be more of a specialist one of a kind homeware
shop rather than a bulk shop. Doing this would give me the opportunity
to create more unique pieces. I could take requests from clients
(bringing in the idea of commissioned artwork). A few years ago I was
going to make a table for my dad, its theme being music. The tabletop
would be painted on piano keys going round in a circle going round
until it finishes in the middle or it was going to be sheets of music
plastered on overlapping. The table legs were going to be a drum kit
balanced on top of each other going from big to small. This is the type
of individual, unique product that I would be interested in advertising
to sell in my ’collection’.
As my artwork is quite
experimental, the products
I create would also need to
be experimental to match
this. I could explore with
new materials and shapes.
Doing this would create
something entirely unique
and special
Within home ware I have placed
pottery as I believe they are in the
same category. I think creating
pottery with my digital art is going to
be something quite unusual.
Traditional pottery is in itself quite
old fashioned mixing that with the
modern digital art will hopefully
create something amazing.
Clothing
I think that a clothing line would be very exciting and fun to
create, as fashion is also changing and accepting new trends.
People use fashion nowadays to express
themselves so using my art as a basis for
the clothing would bring something new,
unique, bold and exciting to the fashion
game.
Big, bold colours are trending at the moment so I would
have to create art that would focus on this.
I think as well as creating some clothing pieces that you
would expect to see in a clothing collection I think it
would be quite fun to try and create something that
hasn’t been seen yet. To do this I would have to do a lot
of research into fashion to see what is already out there
and what is missing
I think looking at trends from years ago would be a good
place to start as I could se what was fashionable and see
how I could bring it back but in a more fashionable and
modern way.
Within the idea of creating clothes for humans I could also think
about creating clothing for pets.
To explore this idea I put together a group of the potential ideas in one as they were all similar and surrounded the same sort of theme.
Commissioned
Artwork
Commissioned artwork is artwork that has been created for a
client. Normally this client has helped with the creative journey,
they state what they want creating and the artist will then come up
with a few basic ideas of which the client will choose one. This
chosen idea will then be developed in detail by the artist (with
clients input) before the final product is made
What's so great about commissioned artwork is
that it can be used for people who want to have
something created for their home, office etc. `but
it can also be used for promotional reasons.
Having art in your promotional products helps to
attract more customers if the art is eye-catching.
Commissioned artwork can also be used to help
create a brand image/logo. I think it is a good
idea to use artwork in this area as you want
something eye-catching and unique to your
company which an artist will be all too happy to
help create.
Could receive ‘requests’ from clients, they’ve got pictures from a time
they want to remember, such as concert, holiday. And I create the art
for them based off of their requests. Could include screenshots from
the ‘website’ where I have got the clients requests from.
The only problem I would have with this product
is finding ‘clients’ that I could communicate with.
I really would need someone else's opinion and
take on the artwork as it needs to go on a
creative journey which would be hard to
replicate with only one persons view.
Products I could create alongside this would
include a website where people could go to for
more information, banners, posters, email list.
Art Journal
Includes the pictures that were
needed to create the art and
then the final product with
variations if there are any.
Would be interesting If there was a
story behind the images. The
journey it took to take the photo,
why you took the photo, does it
have any special meaning?
The idea of this art journal is to
make the audience feel as
though they have been on the
creative journey with you.
It could be quite interesting to
include in this any artist
inspirations that were used in the
creative journey.
I think to make this feel more personal it would be a good
idea to use a sketchbook design. This would mean that
things are stuck in, handwritten etc. The only problem with
this is the fact of producing it on mass. I could create one or
two real ones, scan the pages, create the bulk of the product
with those and then have the two original products as a
specialist, elite book.
For this to work there would need to be a lot of honestly happening
in the book. I would need to talk about where stuff had gone wrong
and how I’m going to rectify that. But also where things have gone
really well and I’m happy. Maybe as well where I’m not sure what
else I could create I don’t know what I need to do next The audience
will have bought this book to fully understand what goes though an
artists mind when creating art and they will be unable to fully
understand if there is not complete honesty.
The products that I would create
alongside this would have to be
quite personal to make sense for it
to be sold with this product. I could
create an online blog, that could
include short videos. An empty
sketchbook that could have tips
and tricks for creating your own art
journal.
Decorative Cases
To explore this idea I put together a group of the potential ideas in one as they were all similar and surrounded the same sort of theme.
These would be a collection of cases for
many different technology devices. I think
this is a good idea because everyone is
constantly wanting new modern cases for
their devices.
This category could also include book
covers and album covers. Illustrators
and artists are always looking for new,
modern and exciting ways to stand out,
which my art will easily be able to
provide.
Once I had got the general design for the
cases I could create a range of products
including bags, stationary, clothing etc.
Posters/Magazine
s
To explore this idea I put together a group of the potential ideas in one as they were all similar and surrounded the same sort of theme.
I have already completed a project on
magazines this year, I enjoyed creating the
content for it but I did not enjoy creating the
layout and organizing how it would all look in
the end.
I think posters would be fun to
create as they can be very bold and
eye-catching. The only problem is
that I don’t think you could create a
whole project around a poster. I
think that both of these products
are more side pieces than the
whole project.
Both of these products would work well with
digital art as they are both adaptable and
versatile. Digital art needs something like that to
really be able to stand out to the best of its
ability.
Final Idea
After looking in detail and exploring all potential ideas in depth, I have decided to go with the
idea of a art exhibition. I have chosen this idea as I feel it is the idea that allows me to explore
what I actually want to create (digital art) the most. Another reason I chose it is that I can
include many of the ideas I explored, as the side pieces for this project. This is exciting as I really
liked the other ideas but not enough to do a full project entirely on them, including them as side
pieces would give me the opportunity to explore them but without the pressure of making a full
project about them.
With my exhibition I really want to focus on how I present the work. I know for sure that I don’t
want to just hang my work up and leave it like that I want to fully explore all the different ways
that artwork can be displayed.
Now that I know what I want to create, (an art exhibition) I need to research into different art
exhibitions, how they advertise for them, what audience they're trying to attract, what other
products they sell alongside. All of this information will help me when it comes to writing up my
proposal, as I will know exactly what I want to create and how I am going to go about that.
I know that secondary research is going to be crucial for this project as an art exhibition is a
project created for an audience, its not really a private project more of a public one. For this
reason I need to know what my audience need to see, so I can adapt my project to suit them. If I
produced something that my audience weren’t interested in, I would have wasted a lot of time.
Whereas if I do my research I will know exactly what they want and will be able to cater to that.
Art Exhibitions
Art Exhibitions
Mood Board Analysis – Exhibitions
For my mood board I chose to split it into the actual products. I chose to do this as there is so
many different things that I am thinking of looking at creating that I need inspiration for each
product. Having them organised into their separate products will help me know exactly what I’m
looking at, instead of having a mixture of all the products.
For art exhibitions I tried to look at exhibitions where the art was displayed in a non traditional
manner, as it is a lot more interesting to look at. At the moment I'm pretty sure that I want to
display my art in a new modern way to match the modern look of the art. So having visual
inspirations for this is important.
One repetition that keeps popping up in the images that I chose, is the contrast between light
and dark. The art piece is often illuminated surrounded by darkness making the piece stand out
even more. This looks like it works really well as all the audiences attention is focused on the
artwork because it stands out so much. This is definitely something I will research into as I think
it is a modern, unusual and an exciting method of showcasing work.
There is a lot of bright, colours used in the majority of the exhibitions. This is because it captures
the audiences attention fast and manages to keep it because there is a lot to take in and
understand. On the other hand there are also a few pieces that involve just black and white,
these tend to be the pieces that message behind the art is the focus. The neutral colours don’t
distract from the message so this is a clever move.
When looking for these images I also tried to look for exhibitions where the art was interactive
with the audience. This is something that is quite exciting at exhibitions as the audience is able
to take part in the creativity rather than just standing on the sidelines and observing. It is also
something I would like to bring into my own project.
Digital Art
Mood Board Analysis – Digital Art
To me the two aspects that stand out the most is the broad range in colour and the movement
that is present in all of the pieces. The colours really stand out as the artists have chosen a
massive range in colours, so there are colours that work well together and look seamless but
there are also colours that contradict and look very harsh. It is this mix of seamless and
harshness that causes the ‘movement’ seen in the pieces. The eye doesn’t really have a focus
point so is forced to look around the whole piece which causes the ‘movement’.
These two features are going to be important to replicate in my own digital art, as I need my
own artwork to look professional and these are the features that I have picked up on with other
professionals work.
One of the reasons that I picked these pieces is that they all have different themes to them. This
is important to my own project as I need to decide what my theme my pieces will have, or if
they even have one. In this piece there are the themes of landscapes, basic shapes, portraits,
city life and broken glass. Having a broad example of different themes that are possible to
include in my own portfolio of pieces is extremely useful as I can see what other artists have
created.
Another reason that I chose these particular examples is that none of them include text, I am
not interested in text being used in my pieces as I want to purely focus on colour, movement
and shapes. I think that text would take away from this as it instantly attracts the eyes and
people want to read it instead of looking at the actual art piece. To me it is a distraction.
Side
Products
On this board I selected a range of products that I could potentially be creating. This is so I have a visual representation of
the product that I can use for inspiration. One of the products I looked at is a graphic abstract animation, I think this is very
exciting and modern and is definitely something I will be interested in creating myself. I haven't made an animation yet only
a projection video so this would be something entirely new to me and my skill set. Link to full video -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjaQS0pi_FE.
Another product I looked at is t-shirts. I could potentially create two types of t-shirts one that staff would wear around the
exhibition and two, a t-shirt that would be sold as merch so would be more fashion trendy. Looking at the examples I chose
there seems to be two main designs, one showing the art piece over the entire t-shirt, this creates a very bright bold
(depending on the actual art piece) that is definitely a fashion statement. The second design is a small version of the art in
the center of the piece, this is still a bright and bold design (again depending on the actual art piece) but is a slightly toned
down version. I think to create a t-shirt I would have to research into the fashion patterns that are on trend at the moment
and see how I could introduce my art into that.
I also looked at digital walkthroughs. I think this would be really pushing my skill set if I did decide to create this, as it seems
very technical. However I think having this within my project would be really special and would also add something
different. The two examples that I looked at for this product seem to be quite complex versions I think if I did this I would
definitely have to do a simplified version to get it completed in time!
Advertising posters for art exhibitions appear to be very bright and colourful which is what you would expect, however
what you wouldn’t expect is the fact that a lot of the products don’t appear to actually showcase the art work on the
poster. This is very interesting as I thought it was a definite fact that the art would be shown. It also makes the process of
creating an advertising poster harder as I would have to think of something that would relate to the art been shown, but
also something that wouldn’t actually give away the art I have created.
Keyrings and lanyards are other products that I also looked at. These would be smaller side products that would sort of be
extras unless I can think of something more exciting to do with them as them by themselves are quite boring.

To do this I would have to do a lot of research into fashion to see what is already out there and what is missing I think looking at trends from years ago would be a good place to start as I could se what was fashionable and see how I could bring it back but in a more fashionable and modern way. Within the idea of creating clothes for humans I could also think about creating clothing for pets.

To explore thisidea I put together a group of the potential ideas in one as they were all similar and surrounded the same sort of theme. Commissioned Artwork Commissioned artwork is artwork that has been created for a client. Normally this client has helped with the creative journey, they state what they want creating and the artist will then come up with a few basic ideas of which the client will choose one. This chosen idea will then be developed in detail by the artist (with clients input) before the final product is made What's so great about commissioned artwork is that it can be used for people who want to have something created for their home, office etc. `but it can also be used for promotional reasons. Having art in your promotional products helps to attract more customers if the art is eye-catching. Commissioned artwork can also be used to help create a brand image/logo. I think it is a good idea to use artwork in this area as you want something eye-catching and unique to your company which an artist will be all too happy to help create. Could receive ‘requests’ from clients, they’ve got pictures from a time they want to remember, such as concert, holiday. And I create the art for them based off of their requests. Could include screenshots from the ‘website’ where I have got the clients requests from. The only problem I would have with this product is finding ‘clients’ that I could communicate with. I really would need someone else's opinion and take on the artwork as it needs to go on a creative journey which would be hard to replicate with only one persons view. Products I could create alongside this would include a website where people could go to for more information, banners, posters, email list.

Art Journal Includes thepictures that were needed to create the art and then the final product with variations if there are any. Would be interesting If there was a story behind the images. The journey it took to take the photo, why you took the photo, does it have any special meaning? The idea of this art journal is to make the audience feel as though they have been on the creative journey with you. It could be quite interesting to include in this any artist inspirations that were used in the creative journey. I think to make this feel more personal it would be a good idea to use a sketchbook design. This would mean that things are stuck in, handwritten etc. The only problem with this is the fact of producing it on mass. I could create one or two real ones, scan the pages, create the bulk of the product with those and then have the two original products as a specialist, elite book. For this to work there would need to be a lot of honestly happening in the book. I would need to talk about where stuff had gone wrong and how I’m going to rectify that. But also where things have gone really well and I’m happy. Maybe as well where I’m not sure what else I could create I don’t know what I need to do next The audience will have bought this book to fully understand what goes though an artists mind when creating art and they will be unable to fully understand if there is not complete honesty. The products that I would create alongside this would have to be quite personal to make sense for it to be sold with this product. I could create an online blog, that could include short videos. An empty sketchbook that could have tips and tricks for creating your own art journal.

Decorative Cases To explorethis idea I put together a group of the potential ideas in one as they were all similar and surrounded the same sort of theme. These would be a collection of cases for many different technology devices. I think this is a good idea because everyone is constantly wanting new modern cases for their devices. This category could also include book covers and album covers. Illustrators and artists are always looking for new, modern and exciting ways to stand out, which my art will easily be able to provide. Once I had got the general design for the cases I could create a range of products including bags, stationary, clothing etc.

Posters/Magazine s To explore thisidea I put together a group of the potential ideas in one as they were all similar and surrounded the same sort of theme. I have already completed a project on magazines this year, I enjoyed creating the content for it but I did not enjoy creating the layout and organizing how it would all look in the end. I think posters would be fun to create as they can be very bold and eye-catching. The only problem is that I don’t think you could create a whole project around a poster. I think that both of these products are more side pieces than the whole project. Both of these products would work well with digital art as they are both adaptable and versatile. Digital art needs something like that to really be able to stand out to the best of its ability.

Final Idea After lookingin detail and exploring all potential ideas in depth, I have decided to go with the idea of a art exhibition. I have chosen this idea as I feel it is the idea that allows me to explore what I actually want to create (digital art) the most. Another reason I chose it is that I can include many of the ideas I explored, as the side pieces for this project. This is exciting as I really liked the other ideas but not enough to do a full project entirely on them, including them as side pieces would give me the opportunity to explore them but without the pressure of making a full project about them. With my exhibition I really want to focus on how I present the work. I know for sure that I don’t want to just hang my work up and leave it like that I want to fully explore all the different ways that artwork can be displayed. Now that I know what I want to create, (an art exhibition) I need to research into different art exhibitions, how they advertise for them, what audience they're trying to attract, what other products they sell alongside. All of this information will help me when it comes to writing up my proposal, as I will know exactly what I want to create and how I am going to go about that. I know that secondary research is going to be crucial for this project as an art exhibition is a project created for an audience, its not really a private project more of a public one. For this reason I need to know what my audience need to see, so I can adapt my project to suit them. If I produced something that my audience weren’t interested in, I would have wasted a lot of time. Whereas if I do my research I will know exactly what they want and will be able to cater to that.

Mood Board Analysis– Exhibitions For my mood board I chose to split it into the actual products. I chose to do this as there is so many different things that I am thinking of looking at creating that I need inspiration for each product. Having them organised into their separate products will help me know exactly what I’m looking at, instead of having a mixture of all the products. For art exhibitions I tried to look at exhibitions where the art was displayed in a non traditional manner, as it is a lot more interesting to look at. At the moment I'm pretty sure that I want to display my art in a new modern way to match the modern look of the art. So having visual inspirations for this is important. One repetition that keeps popping up in the images that I chose, is the contrast between light and dark. The art piece is often illuminated surrounded by darkness making the piece stand out even more. This looks like it works really well as all the audiences attention is focused on the artwork because it stands out so much. This is definitely something I will research into as I think it is a modern, unusual and an exciting method of showcasing work. There is a lot of bright, colours used in the majority of the exhibitions. This is because it captures the audiences attention fast and manages to keep it because there is a lot to take in and understand. On the other hand there are also a few pieces that involve just black and white, these tend to be the pieces that message behind the art is the focus. The neutral colours don’t distract from the message so this is a clever move. When looking for these images I also tried to look for exhibitions where the art was interactive with the audience. This is something that is quite exciting at exhibitions as the audience is able to take part in the creativity rather than just standing on the sidelines and observing. It is also something I would like to bring into my own project.

Mood Board Analysis– Digital Art To me the two aspects that stand out the most is the broad range in colour and the movement that is present in all of the pieces. The colours really stand out as the artists have chosen a massive range in colours, so there are colours that work well together and look seamless but there are also colours that contradict and look very harsh. It is this mix of seamless and harshness that causes the ‘movement’ seen in the pieces. The eye doesn’t really have a focus point so is forced to look around the whole piece which causes the ‘movement’. These two features are going to be important to replicate in my own digital art, as I need my own artwork to look professional and these are the features that I have picked up on with other professionals work. One of the reasons that I picked these pieces is that they all have different themes to them. This is important to my own project as I need to decide what my theme my pieces will have, or if they even have one. In this piece there are the themes of landscapes, basic shapes, portraits, city life and broken glass. Having a broad example of different themes that are possible to include in my own portfolio of pieces is extremely useful as I can see what other artists have created. Another reason that I chose these particular examples is that none of them include text, I am not interested in text being used in my pieces as I want to purely focus on colour, movement and shapes. I think that text would take away from this as it instantly attracts the eyes and people want to read it instead of looking at the actual art piece. To me it is a distraction.

On this boardI selected a range of products that I could potentially be creating. This is so I have a visual representation of the product that I can use for inspiration. One of the products I looked at is a graphic abstract animation, I think this is very exciting and modern and is definitely something I will be interested in creating myself. I haven't made an animation yet only a projection video so this would be something entirely new to me and my skill set. Link to full video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjaQS0pi_FE. Another product I looked at is t-shirts. I could potentially create two types of t-shirts one that staff would wear around the exhibition and two, a t-shirt that would be sold as merch so would be more fashion trendy. Looking at the examples I chose there seems to be two main designs, one showing the art piece over the entire t-shirt, this creates a very bright bold (depending on the actual art piece) that is definitely a fashion statement. The second design is a small version of the art in the center of the piece, this is still a bright and bold design (again depending on the actual art piece) but is a slightly toned down version. I think to create a t-shirt I would have to research into the fashion patterns that are on trend at the moment and see how I could introduce my art into that. I also looked at digital walkthroughs. I think this would be really pushing my skill set if I did decide to create this, as it seems very technical. However I think having this within my project would be really special and would also add something different. The two examples that I looked at for this product seem to be quite complex versions I think if I did this I would definitely have to do a simplified version to get it completed in time! Advertising posters for art exhibitions appear to be very bright and colourful which is what you would expect, however what you wouldn’t expect is the fact that a lot of the products don’t appear to actually showcase the art work on the poster. This is very interesting as I thought it was a definite fact that the art would be shown. It also makes the process of creating an advertising poster harder as I would have to think of something that would relate to the art been shown, but also something that wouldn’t actually give away the art I have created. Keyrings and lanyards are other products that I also looked at. These would be smaller side products that would sort of be extras unless I can think of something more exciting to do with them as them by themselves are quite boring.
