PLANNING

Mind Map
Colours:
Excluding Images –
Based on my product research, I know I need to keep
my colour scheme basic and neutral, so that the
images that I use in my products are not competing
for attention. However the text does need to draw
some attention as people need to notice and read it.
For this reason I will be looking at a colour scheme of
black and white, with maybe one bold colour like blue,
red or yellow.
Excluding everything but images –
I need my images to be bold, eye-catching, colourful
and exciting. However I am not going to put a colour
scheme to these. As I am creating art, putting a
colour scheme on that would be limiting what I could
create.
Target Audience:
My target audience is anyone who appreciates good quality art. This
could be artists themselves, Art Curators, Art Fanatics etc. I want this
magazine to attract all ages and all genders as art itself is appreciated
worldwide, putting an age and gender guide on my products would limit
its success in the real world.
Content:
My magazine and website are going to consist of
pictures of my artwork and descriptions about
them, to help people understand my art more.
In the magazine I’m going to do a double page
spread interview with myself and also a fellow
artist who does digital art but the outcome is
entirely different. This interview will be also be
featured on my magazine as the latest blog post.
Theme:
Art
How pics will be created:
The art that I’m creating is going to made from
lots of different pictures taken by camera of
town, lights or people. They are then edited
together on Photoshop, I change the opacity
and colours until I am happy with how it looks.
I am also going to be featuring a friends
artwork, I’m not sure how she creates her work
but she does use an online editing programme
Front Page Layout Ideas:
For my front page layout I’m not sure just yet how
I want to present it, as I don’t know whether I want
multiple images or just a single image to be
featured on the front page. I’m hesitant to put
multiple images on the front page as they are all
big and bold so it might overwhelm the audience,
however just putting one image on the front page
might not be exciting enough. I’m thinking of
editing blank spaces over images so they don’t
overwhelm the audience however I’m also not
sure whether this will actually work.
Double Page spread Layout
Ideas:
For my double page spread I’m wanting to do
an interview with two artists. So I want one
page on each artist featuring their work and
their interview.
Website Layout Ideas:
For my website layout I want to have the front page
featuring my artwork, however I want the pictures on the
front to change around so it keeps the viewers more
interested. (Clearer on flat plan website).

Interview Questions
For my article I am going to be doing an interview with myself and another fellow digital artist. To
actually write this article I am going to need to have questions ready. I decided to write these
particular questions as I believe they will help the audience to understand the artist and their work
more.
