Is there any repetition in the images you have collected?
Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• In allot of images I've chosen they like to use a teal-esc colour
scheme. Also allot of them share a duller colour pallet.
• Also with allot of the artwork they use a darker outline to
define characters.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• With images I've gathered I can take inspiration for used
textures and styles that I've approved of in the gathered
images.

8. Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept The player will play a Victorian ghost fighter; running through Victorian streets as he
captures ghosts. A steam-punk look will be given to both the character and his
gadgets. Also the colour pallet will be dull and fairly dark; matched with a highly
saturated green to contrast with everything.

The client has asked for a game with themed on ghosts. It will be a small yet not
overly ambitions game that will be pixel based also...
What you will
need to make
them
To make that I can do this idea or any of the others I'd need to ensure I have the
required software to produce the product along with (more importantly, -) a solid
idea and planning. As you can't do anything without knowing what you're meant to
be doing. As well as checking it still fits the clients demands.
Audience I believe my target audience will be a bigger male audience, with the rough age
range of about 12-18...

Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this
project
Space Invaders (Parody.) In this character
would fight ghosts in the form of "Space
Invaders."
Though it's still probably a relatively fun
idea it's still a known game which people
have played, that means people are going to
get bored of this fast. The only real thing
drawing the audience into this game would
be nostalgia which would rapidly go. Also it
doesn't allow me as much creative freedom
as the other ideas do and I wouldn't get to
do much in the way of graphics.
A deep sea ghost fight. In this the player
would've been a deep sea diver trying to
defend there self from a ghost in the
haunted coral.
Though I like the creative freedom this
provides with a fairly solid idea, - I feel like it
doesn't really compare with the chosen
idea. With my final idea I've got the backing
of a more solid idea and it would be more
easy to produce than this...
