Dance Place Research Paper
Growing up, I ve always had an eye for the art of dance. When I was five years old I was a part of
many dance teams in school and church. From dancing to helping others, I have always been involved
in the dance world. For my future career, I d love to become a professional dance teacher at the Visual
Arts School. If I could help out at the Dance Place internship, I know that I would show just how
ready I am for my future. The most important reason I would make a great intern at the Dance Place is
because of my experience with being a captain, coaching, and teaching.
The beginning of high school up until now I was promoted to being captain of the Knights Visual
Ensemble dance team. My duties are to make sure I keep a group of 25 girls organized ... Show more

I coach a middle school dance team called the Sassy Sapphires. With this group of 15 girls, I take care
of everything they need. I create complete dance routines, costumes to wear and makeup for shows. I
m also in charge of signing them up for competitions and handling all the money obligations. Being
able to do this puts me in a professional environment at an early age and forces me to be completely
responsible. Any mistake I make teaches me a major lesson and prepares me for future. This also
preps me to handle things such as working with you at the Dance Place intership.
I m well known around my area for having good technique, because of this a lot of studios and schools
tend to give me opportunities to come work with people of all ages. About 3 times a month I receive
emails or phone calls asking me to come and teach technique courses for a full day. Techniques I m
known for are hip hop, ballet, combos, and across the floors. Not only do I work with teams of people
I develop a bond with but I also have experience with those I ve never seen or met before. Being able

Consumer Experience At Green Island s Rummage Shop And...
Consumer experience is resultant of an interactive relationship between a customer and an
establishment. It is created via the business and its employees, the consumers themselves and other
contributing factors (Verhoef et al., 2009). In order to understand consumption experience, we visited
the Green Island s Rummage Shop and Recycling Centre. This establishment is, for the most part, a
recycling station and second hand store containing items that have been extracted from what is
brought to the dump, then cleaned in order to be sold on to customers. At the Rummage Shop, we
informally interviewed over a dozen people who we thought could provide insight on consumer
experience at Green Island. We then analysed these findings, as well as reflecting on our own
consumption experience at this place. Social and cultural influence was the main consumer behaviour
theory we applied when discussing how consumer s experience Green Island Rummage Shop and
Recycling Centre. We discussed their consumption experience here in terms of why consumers
consume in a recycling based environment, their consumption choices and their perceptions on the
consumption experience at Green Island.
Cultural and social norms are constantly evolving in today s consumer environment, thus influencing
the consumption experience (Arnould Thompson, 2005). The Green Island consumer experience has
been greatly influenced by the fact that current culture encourages recycling and sustainability. A

Essay on Critique of Hume s Analysis of Causality
Critique of Hume s Analysis of Causality
Hume s analyses of human apprehension and of causality were the most penetrating up to his time and
continue to have great influence. Contemporary Spanish philosopher Xavier Zubiri (1893 1983) has
examined both and identified three underlying errors: (1) the failure to recognize that there are three
stages of human intellection, and especially that the first, primordial apprehension, has quite unique
characteristics; (2) the attempt to place an excessive burden on the content of impressions while
ignoring what Zubiri terms their formality of reality ; and (3) the failure to recognize that
functionality, not causality, is the basis for most of our knowledge. Causal chains in general cannot be

This task Hume undertook in his Treatise of Human Nature, Book I. In Part IV, he is concerned to
establish a reason or explanation for our belief in the independent and continuing existence of external
things or bodies , for upon this all causal reasoning about such things must ultimately rest. As is well
known, Hume argues that such belief must either come from the senses, reason, or what he terms
imagination ; and he dismisses the first two, leaving only the last, where he attributes the belief to
coherence and constancy of impressions. (1)
For the present study, details of Hume s argument are not as important as his basic assumptions. One
of those assumptions, never explicitly stated but always lurking just beneath the surface, is that all
reasoning and understanding of the external world comes from the mind working on the content of
sensible impressions, be they pains, pleasures, colors, or sounds. The burden of inferring the existence
of things outside of the mind then must fall upon the mind and those processes available to it, because
what the senses deliver is inadequate to the task:
That our senses offer not their impressions as the images of something distinct, or independent, and
external, is evident; because they convey to us

The Bluest Eye Racism Essay
How The Bluest Eye Makes Commentary on Racism
Toni Morrison s The Bluest Eye is a novel about racism, yet there are relatively few instances of direct
oppression. The Bluest Eye presents a more complicated portrait of racism. The characters are subject
to an internalized set of values, which creates its own cycle of victimization. Morrison s novel
highlights how cultural ideals based on skin colour and physical features function as tools of racial
oppression. For all races and for all individuals, it is critical to fully understand how society influences
our values and beliefs. The focal character, Pecola, is victimized by a society that conditions her to
believe that she is ugly and therefore worthless, because she doesn t epitomize white ... Show more

Very early in the novel, Pecola shows excessive enthusiasm for Shirley Temple, which can be seen
from her fascination with Frieda s blue and white Shirley Temple mug and unstoppable milk drinking
from that mug three quarts of milk a day. This can be interpreted as a part of her desire to internalize
the values of white culture, a symbolic moment that foreshadows her desire to possess blue eyes. In
yearning to be Shirley Temple, Pecola denies her own identity, A little black girl yearns for the blue
eyes of a little white girl, and the horror at the heart of her yearning is exceeded only by the evil of
fulfilment (Morrison, 1999, p.34). Pecola connects beauty with being loved and believes that if she
possesses blue eyes, the cruelty in her life will be replaced by affection and respect. Surely, Pecola
suffers most from white beauty standards and this hopeless desire leads ultimately to her madness.
To Pecola, blue eyes, blond hair and white skin equals beauty, which leads to happiness. It is difficult
to fault a young girl for this misinterpretation. Certainly both white and black communities in her
world seem to support the idea. In The Bluest Eye, Morrison presents the whole community as having
taken the white criteria of beauty for their

Changes In Polar Bear Eating Habits
On the western shore of the Hudson Bay, biologists have been studying the drastic changed in polar
bear diets and their new eating habits. Through their studies of polar bear scat and video surveillance,
the biologists have come to the conclusion that polar bears are beginning to adopt a new form of food.
They are beginning to eat from the abundant source of snow geese. The snow geese have been
traveling farther north in the spring to nest in the grassy, arctic marshes. Here they lay their eggs,
vulnerable to predators such as the polar bear. Due to the global warming, the arctic ice has begun to
melt at a much faster pace. This means that polar bears have less time and less ice to hunt for seals.
The polar bears have always relied on seals

Integrated Healthcare Marketing Strategies
Integrated Healthcare Marketing Strategies
Introduction
The creation and execution of promotional and communications strategies are by definition today
multichannel and multimedia in scope. Combining both online and offline forms of media, the best
practices in integrated marketing communications includes digital media that is inherently more
measurable than offline counterparts, with offline media that is more agile from a messaging
standpoint (Finne, Strandvik, 2012). The accuracy and precision of measurement that online
marketing channels and platforms provide, in addition to the more immediate response generated from
programs, is leading to digital media being the majority of integrated marketing communications
spending globally (Reinold, Tropp, 2012). This has significant implications on the ethicacy of
advertising for healthcare products, as customers demand more authenticity and transparency through
these online channels (Bernoff, Li, 2008). The pervasive use of social media is re ordering the balance
of power between customer and marketer roles in the marketplace (Finne, Strandvik, 2012). These are
all factors healthcare marketers need to keep in mind when designing their strategic marketing plans.
Bringing Ethicacy Into Integrated Marketing Plans
For any health related product, the integrated marketing communications strategy needs to first
concentrate on the entire customer experience and be cognizant of their needs while striving for
complete authenticity

Why Baseball Is The Best Sport
A professional baseball player once said that its a round ball and a round bat and you got to hit it
square . This is one of the reasons that baseball is a not just the best sport it is the hardest.Although
some people believe that football is the best sport the reality is that baseball is the best sport that is
around today. There are way more games in baseball than any other sport. In bleacher reports article
their they say that their are 162 baseball games in one season and that is 6 months of baseball the NBA
is 82 games a season and the NFL is only 16 games a season. That is why baseball is in fact the best
sport around six months out of twelve is baseball and the second longest is only half that amount and
almost every kid you meet will have played baseball at least once in their life that is why it is the best.
Another reason why baseball is the best because it is so fun and family friendly to go to the games and

when u go to basketball, football, and hockey they are all timed have half times but no baseball is a

Feudalism In Medieval Europe
ife was extremely difficult for those living during the Middle Ages. Many people were illiterate, and
relied mainly on their beliefs. The people believed that fate ruled their existence; therefore, there was
little hope for improving their condition. During the years of the Roman Empire, the peasants, or poor
citizens of the empire, were protected by the soldiers of the emperor. After the fall of the Roman
Empire in 476 A.D., the peasants longed for protection. There were no laws protecting these peasants,
so they turned to the lords to keep the peace and to act on their behalf. The willingness exemplified by
the peasants to be ruled by the lords led to the beginnings of the dominant social system in Medieval
Europe: feudalism.
Feudalism is simply defined as land exchanged for work. However, feudalism entails a more
complicated aspect: a social hierarchy in which protection and military service was exchanged for
homage, labor, and a share of the produce. R.J. Barendense, an author of the Journal of World History,
states that feudalism is ...a specific world historic juncture in which peasant societies were subjugated
by an aristocracy of mounted warriors that became more powerful than any central institution and
increasingly appropriated the jurisdiction over the peasants, and thus the land revenue. In other
worlds, the nobility held lands from the Crown in exchange for military service, and vassals were in
turn tenants of the nobles, while the peasants, or serfs, were obliged to live on their lord s land and
give him homage, labor, and a share of the produce, notionally in exchange for military protection.
Feudalism established an ultimate system of control for medieval society, providing a degree of
cohesiveness in a society that lacked an adequate bureaucracy or method of taxation.
As stated, feudalism was simply a system of government in which people were given land and
protection by people of a higher rank. The lower class worked fought for the upper class in return. In
feudalism, the main Feudal Hierarchy consisted of the King, the Nobles, the Knights, and the
Peasants, who were called serfs.
The King was the highest person according to the feudal system. A king had the duty of controlling his

The mechanical properties of the welded joint are determined by the microstructural behavior of
weldmetal [2]. It is well established that alloying elements such as Ti, Ni, B, Mo, Cr etc play an
important role for microstructural development [3]. Therefore, it is very essential to manipulate the
composition of welding consumables for the optimum joint properties. Previous researchers have used
various procedures to manipulate weld metal composition. Two major approaches for improving the
WM properties are to use of different types of flux and another one is to alter WM composition by the
introduce of newer filler material or by metal powder addition in WM [4]. Generally, weldmetal
microstructure of conventional low alloy steel consists of varying amounts of acicular ferrite,
polygonal ferrite, widmanstatten ferrite and M A microphases. It has been reported that the acicular
ferrite provide the optimum microstructure to the welds because of its fine grain size, as well as
dislocation density and reducing crack propagation[2]. One of the useful methods for promoting the
acicular ferrite formation in SAW is the enrichment of various oxides into the flux such as titanium
oxide, zirconium oxide, boron oxide. These oxides in the flux may contribute to different metallic
element dissolution and oxygen into the weld [5]. Evans et al. [6] studied the effect of

Personal Statement Of Engineering In Electronics And...
It is no doubt that Engineering plays a vital role in our society. This is magnified in a time when the
world is faced with so many significant problems climate change, population density to name just two.
It is for this reason that I am so excited about the prospect of studying Engineering, especially at the
point of so many major advances in technology, in AI and nanomaterials for example. In the future, I
hope to help to lead these advances and solve these problems.
My interest in building projects first started when I began studying Electronics in Year 9. I remember
the joy I felt after making some Christmas lights flash in different patterns. Though it was simple,
seeing how I could genuinely make physical changes to my own home brought me great pleasure. As I
became more knowledgeable in Electronics and Engineering, I began building far more impressive
projects. In Year 11, I assembled and coded a quadcopter, for which I was awarded a CREST Gold
award. During the course of Year 12, I made a facial recognition system using a Raspberry Pi and
open source libraries. These projects have showed me the practical aspects of Engineering,
particularly in how important it is to be able to troubleshoot. [more detail] [A book quote, e.g. as X
says in Y ; ].
Another major project I have worked on recently involved building a suite of different LEDs that can
have features such as its flicker rate and intensity configured to a very precise level. This formed part
of a larger research project investigating how animals react to types of light. The project, done as part
of a Nuffield Research Placement was very different to my previous ventures as it involved dozens of
different people with a wide range of skillsets. I found that this project developed not only my ability
to work as a team [example], but also showed me how research works at the PhD level.
Of course, I understand that Engineering is not just about building projects in the garage and I have
been actively seeking to gain a more diverse appreciation of what constitutes Engineering. I recently
attended a four day Headstart course at Warwick University which proved to be an enlightening
experience because of the amount of new material that was covered,

Called Ove, a fascinating work of literature by Fredrik Backman, portraits a cranky, grumpy, old man,
Ove s journey of meeting life changing new neighbor, opening his heart to them, and overcoming the
grief and pain from a loss. After losing his beloved wife, Ove succeedingly loses his happiness and a
purpose to live. He tries to commit suicide several times, however, fortunately, they are always
interrupted by his new next door neighbor. They always look out for him and care deeply about him
which leads him out of the depression and remembers again how it feels like to be truly loved and
cared. A Man Called Ove is definitely an astonishing work of literature that has to be read by St.
Andrew s 10th grade students because it has been rapturously reviewed by prominent critics, it has
been well produced as a film, and it depicts the issue our society is going through with human grief

The Transformation Of Metamorphosis In Franz Kafka s The...
In Franz Kafka s novella, The Metamorphosis, the main character Gregor Samsa awakes from his
sleep transformed into a bug. As the story develops, not only does Gregor go through the phases of a
metamorphosis but also his family especially his sister Grete. If the novella is about hope, then it
would explain the actions and plot lines introduced to the reader. What is Grete s metamorphosis?
How does she bring new hope to the Samsa family? Is the hope found within the tragic transformation
of Gregor? When I first read the book the only metamorphosis that I examined was that of Gregor s,
however, as I began to analyze each paragraph deeply, Grete s metamorphosis came into light and
revealed a whole new meaning for the title. Grete transformed from being a young and respectful
daughter to being an independent and spiteful one. At the beginning of the novella, Grete is first
introduced like many other characters, she is the voice behind a wall; on the right side the sister began
to sob (17). Kafka allows the reader to assume that Grete is an anxious and overdramatic person, Grete
begins to cry just because Gregor won t open his door. Kafka again establishes Grete s melodramatic
personality with the use of free indirect speech, And why was she crying? (17). Even though Grete
was a childish girl at the beginning of the story, she was also very caring towards Gregor even after he
had shown himself to the world; But he could never guessed what his sister in her kindness [...] to test
his likings, she brought him a big selection (26). As the novella develops Grete grows as a woman,
and her personality matures. Grete now has taken over Gregor s family duties, and her stature in the
family has risen, We have to get rid of it (47). The use of direct speech gives Grete more authority
than her parents which gives her a lot of independence not only does Grete have more independence
but she also has become more spiteful towards Gregor; At last! to her parents as she turned the key in
the lock (49). The locking of the door shows the reader that Grete no longer cares for Gregor and has
realized that he was a considerable burden. Grete s evolution of actions from start to end in the novella

Fracking And The Public Health
Hydraulic fracturing or fracking has become a concern both environmentally and in the public health
sphere in Western Maryland. In analyzing these ideas, the environment and public health concerns
intertwine in a discourse about the relationship on both power and knowledge. Fracking is a new issue
for the state of Maryland to consider; therefore dominant narratives on this subject are still being
developed and legitimized. Studies have been conducted in other regions around the world to analyze
the various effects fracking has had on the environment and within communities, both economically
and politically. However, despite the potential for Western Maryland to become a possible new site for
fracking, there is a lack of literature that specifically analyzes the environmental and public health
concerns as a discourse that may be detrimental to the people and the environment in this region. Also,
as a result of fracking being a relatively new source of natural gas, there has yet to be a significant
number of studies analyzing the health effects caused by fracking even in regions that have allowed
fracking for a number of years.
The Marcellus Shale underlies Western Maryland along with New York, Pennsylvania, and West
Virginia and is the United States largest on shore natural gas reserve (Marcellus Shale Safe Drilling

Alcohol Is A Popular Ingredient
In today s society, alcohol is a popular ingredient in numerous products and beverages. And for better
or worse, alcohol has shaped our civilization for many centuries. Alcohol is any organic compound,
which the hydroxyl functional group is bound to a saturated carbon atom. It is classed as a depressant,
which is an ingredient that slows down vital functions resulting in slurred speech, unsteady
movement, disturbed perceptions and an inability to react quickly. As for how it affects the mind,
alcohol is best understood as a drug that reduces a person s ability to think rationally and distorts our
judgment. The term alcohol is originally referred to the primary alcohol ethyl alcohol, the predominant
alcohol in alcoholic beverages. Ethanol is thought to cause harm partly as a result of direct damage to
DNA caused by its metabolites. Alcohol is absorbed into the bloodstream via small blood vessels in
the walls of the stomach and small intestine. Within minutes of drinking alcohol, it travels from the
stomach to the brain, where it quickly produces its effects, slowing the action of nerve cells. Some
people should not drink at all, including alcoholics, children, pregnant women, people taking certain
medicines, and people with certain medical conditions. Anything more than moderate drinking can be
risky. Heavy drinking can lead to alcoholism and alcohol abuse, as well as injuries, liver disease, heart

The Philosophy Of Classroom Management
Theoretical Introduction  Philosophy of Classroom Management When I think of my future
classroom, I imagine it to a home. I plan for my students and I to be a big family , and it will still be a
learning environment. While I am teaching a lesson I would like for my students to be quite when they
should be listening and participating when it is time for them to participate. I am there to guide their
learning, the students will be allowed to share, correct, and exchange information when the time is
appropriate. I will have the traditional teaching style which is the students paying attention to the
teacher, then once the students seem to understand the content they will then be able to move around
and interact with other student in either group discussions or at the learning centers throughout the
classroom. My classroom will be nice and bright to keep up the positive energy, and it will still be
conducted as a learning environment for my students, and they will understand that everything that
they learn in my classroom will travel with them till they are old, and they will be able to understand
why they are in school and what their purpose is in life.  Assumptions about the Nature of Young
People and Learning Every young person wants to satisfy their basic needs which usually tends to be
power, love, freedom and fun. They always want to be in control of their selves and the area around
them. Children will misbehave when they feel like the area is too strict around them,

Green, Nash discusses the way in which fabricated evidence impact the accuracy of someone being
able to accuse a person of a crime they did not commit. The participants included 60 university
students, who were then divided into three groups of 20. Participants were told that researchers were
going to study the way in which people behave when gambling real money versus virtual money and
were told that the one with the most profit would get a cash price at the end. Participants were
instructed that they would be taking a multiple choice quiz ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Phase two consisted of researchers tampering with the video and replacing the check mark with an X
on the video recording of the accomplice playing, making it seem as if she was cheating although in
reality she followed the rules. Some subjects viewed a digitally manipulated video of their partner
cheating; some were told that video evidence of the cheating exists; and others were not told anything
about the evidence. Subjects were asked to sign a statement confirming that they witnessed the
incident and that it could be used in disciplinary actions against the accomplice. The results showed
that see video subjects were three times more likely to sign the statement than Told video and Control

Reasonable Religious Disagreements Summary
In Reasonable Religious Disagreements, Feldman discusses the role of intolerance and relativism in
argumentation in regards to how epistemic peers who have a share of the same evidence reasonably
maintain their own belief, all the while, maintaining that the other party of the disagreement is
reasonable in their belief as well. This essay will concentrate on the benefits of Feldman s observation
and the benefits of critical thinking in argumentation as well as elaborate on the main reason as to why
people so desperately agree to disagree in relation to media coverage.
Feldman begins the introduction of his inquiry by identifying the importance of argumentation in
critical thinking and epistemology. He states, Epistemology is the abstract study of knowledge and
rationality. Critical thinking, as I understand it, is a kind of applied epistemology, the underlying idea
being that thinking clearly and carefully about any issue requires understanding and applying some
fundamental epistemological concepts (Feldman 1). He goes further to describe arguments as tools for
helping us figure out what it is most reasonable to believe (Feldman 2). A good argument is an earnest
exchange between different parties that are trying to establish an agreeable conclusion. It is for this
reason that agreeing to disagree is fallacious. In a debate, the sole purpose is to challenge ideas and
claims in order to come to the paramount and most logical conclusion. The function of deliberation is

A General Public Survey Of Young Adults And Older Adults
13.15 Government economic data reveals that young adults, not middle age or older adults, are having
the most difficult time in today s economy. Although the nation s labor market shows a decline in the
unemployment rate, the percentage of young adults, ages 18 24, currently employed (54%) is at the
lowest level since government data collection began in 1948. If you were working for a national
survey organization doing a general public survey of young adults and older adults, what topics and
questions would you design into your survey to elaborate on this finding? Survey topic as a factor
influencing participation rates has become important and research states that respondents with a high
topic interest are most likely to participate in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In breaking down these categories, the researcher must ask the correct questions to receive the
answers needed to solve this issue. Additional questions the researcher can ask is: Have you done a
panel interview? Are you applying for job you qualify for? What qualifications do you have that
would make you the best candidate for this job? Have you researched this company and what the job
entails? Are you willing to relocate for a job? If so how many miles are you willing to relocate? What
are your salary expectations? What type of benefits are you looking for? Unfortunately, with
unemployment, this also creates an emotional aspect that also needs to be considered when creating
the questions. Unemployment damages self concept and self esteem which lowers people s motivation
to seek work, which further damages their self concept and lowers motivation to seek work with time
(Redek, Susjan, Kostevc, 2013). Therefore, by asking these various questions, the answers will give
the researcher the opportunity to find out what is missing and why the respondents are unemployed.
The responses could be such factors as the respondents needing additional job training or they need to
work on their job expectations. The overall goal of this survey is to figure out why the percentage of
young adults between the ages of 18 24 have the highest unemployment rate. By creating clear and
concise research questions to ask within the survey,

Critical Analysis Of The Clash Of Civilization
In The Clash of Civilization, Samuel P. Huntington argues that globalization has united cultures that
were normally very withdrawn. It has increased contact between these cultures, which then led to an
increase in misunderstanding, resentment, and eventually conflict. Huntington also hypothesizes that
the leading factor of conflict in the 21st century will be the differences between cultures. This will
eventually result in the change of dominance within civilizations to different civilizations. Lastly, he
also predicts that the West, Arab nations, such as Saudi Arabia, and China will also have and an
increase in cultural conflict with one another.
Huntington then goes on to hypothesize that the ultimate source of conflict in this world will not only
be ideological or economical but the division between human kind will mostly take place because of
the cultural conflict. He says that The clash of civilizations will dominate global politics. The fault
lines between civilizations will be the battle lines of the future. (82). In order to have a better and
concise understanding of Huntington s Clash of Civilizations? it is necessary to understand the
strengths of his argument. The strengths in his argument are well portrayed through his division of the
world in eight different civilizations and also through his explanation of why there is conflict between
cultures. Also, he portrays that cultural issues tend to be more complicated to resolve than political
dilemmas. These

The Process Of Writing The Intervention Plan
During the process of writing the Intervention Plan I met with the client on a number of occasions.
During those times I observed the client participating in different activities to try and determine her
level of cognitive and physical function. I also spent time talking with her about activities she enjoyed
to include both current and past activities such as crafts, exercise and reading. Under the supervision
of the recreational therapist the following are activities that I performed with the client and how and
why I determined the activity I chose for her intervention plan. The client stated on several occasions
how important she thought exercise was and willingly participated in morning exercises and daily
walks. During the walks the client relied heavily on others to guide her due to her visual and cognitive
deficits. In my opinion she will not be independent functionally mobile and I feel there is nothing that
I can do to improve her current level of function leaving me to the conclusion that activity would not
work for an intervention plan. During morning exercises the client was able to perform all exercises
correctly and was very motivated however, on a regular basis the client would ask if she was doing
them correctly. I noticed during another activity she would also ask if she was doing it correctly.
Taking into account her concern for how she performed I planned on asking her to assist me in leading
morning activities, the idea being to re enforce a positive

Lukewarmism In Revelation 3
In Revelation 3, Jesus criticizes the church of Laodicea for its lukewarm approach to the Christian
lifestyle, wishing that His people were either cold or hot (15) and threatening that He would spit the
lukewarm out of [His] mouth (17). What does it mean to be lukewarm, per say? In the context of
Christianity, a lukewarm church is one that, although they claim to be in communion with Christ,
simultaneously indicate through their pursuit of wealth, prestige, and power that they reject the notion
of denying themselves, taking up the cross of Christ, and following Him (Mark 8:34). This decision of
committing oneself to Christ involves much more than simply believing in Him; rather, it involves a
commitment that is radically willing to bring

Better Than Hum Why Robots Will-And Must Take Our Jobs
Nearly all jobs, blue and white collar alike, will eventually be automated by a worker who never
makes mistakes, never needs to stop working, and can learn faster than any human alive. This is the
future we face, according to Kevin Kelly, writer of Better Than Human: Why Robots Will And Must
Take Our Jobs. Kelly discusses the future of machines doing our work for us. Kelly believes that all
jobs currently occupied by humans will eventually be taken over by machines, and humans will
benefit from the results. While Kelly presents engaging arguments, his examples and writing style are
ineffective in fully demonstrating his view of automation in the workplace. One flawed example Kelly
uses to prove his point is the use of autopilot on an airliner, saying that the pilot is largely unnecessary
because the autopilot is perfectly capable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He even addresses the reader ( Dear Reader ) directly to tell them that their job will certainly be taken
over by machines, whether they like it or not. Even though the article is meant to be educational, its
nature is almost taunting. Kelly s article, white thought provoking, makes sweeping generalizations
and talks down on the reader, both of which weaken his argument. While reading, I wondered if the
career path I want to go into, automotive design, could be automated. The thing with automotive
design is that it s such a delicate blend of art and hard science. A computer could already design a car
to be perfectly aerodynamic and generate the perfect amount of downforce, but cars are still designed
by humans, because people can insert graceful (cosmetic) design motifs and aggressive body lines that
a computer wouldn t bother with. Computers have a specific way of tackling problems, and to assume
that that way of problem solving would apply to nearly every career out there is simply

Letter To The Ephesians
The book of Ephesians was written by the Apostle Paul, to the saints at Ephesus. It is suggested that
Paul wrote this letter around 60 AD, while imprisoned in Rome. The biblical author of Acts, Luke,
eludes to Paul s imprisonment in Rome in Acts 28. Paul initially identifies himself as the author of the
letter to the Ephesians in his greeting in Ephesians 1:1 and again in 3:1. To further identify himself
Paul often makes particular references to himself in the body of the letter to the Ephesians (c.f.
Ephesians 3:3, 7, 13; 4:1; 6:19). Ephesus was a major city in Asia Minor. It was considered an affluent
seaport. It was a capital in the Roman Province of Asia, what is today western Turkey. It was a median
to Greek and Near Eastern culture.

Scarlett s father also reminds her of the importance and permanence of the land and their home, Tara,

At a barbeque the next day at Twelve Oaks, the neighboring plantation, Scarlett is surrounded by even
more admirers, but she is overtaken by jealousy when she sees Ashley and Melanie together. The

The Tiger
What came out of the door on the right? Is it the Tiger, or is it the Lady? Frank R. Stockton, author of
The Tiger or The Lady left this unclear, stating that the story could go either way while giving us
background information to the princess s mind before her lover s potential execution. Did the princess
give him the pleasure of moving on, or did she send him to his death? The possibilities of the Tiger
being the outcome of the door on the right outweigh the maiden because the princess is jealous,
believed that it is the right thing to do, and hated the thought of awarding a girl who she thought
already loved the accused. Throughout the story of The Tiger or The Lady the princess expresses great
love for the commoner. However, after months of their love going unnoticed, the Semi Barbaric King

She takes great disgust the thought of letting another woman take the man she loves after losing him

of affection with each other, even talking to each other. This is greatly taken into thought as she
devised her decision and would be a cause of her decision to send her to his death. She abhors the
women and detests the thought of them being together. How in her grievous reveries gnashed her
teeth, and torn her hair when she saw the rapturous delight as he opened the other door of the lady!
(Stockton 3) By giving him a way out she would also reward the lady with whom she believed her
love betrayed her with. If the Princess could award the lady and her first lover by allowing them to be
together, then she would be uncharacteristically generous for her Semi Barbaric

Asthma Treatment
Asthma Treatment
Asthma is best described as a chronic inflammation the pulmonary lower airways because of
hyperresponsiveness of lower airway obstructions that is usually reversible (Fireman, 2003). Asthma
is triggered by cold air, exercise, viral upper respiratory infections, cigarette smoking, and respiratory
allergens. One in 12 people in the United States has been diagnosed with asthma which is
approximately 25 million people which accounts for 8% of the total population (AAAAI, 2016). It is
estimated that the average cost for care of asthma in the United States is about $3,300.00 yearly in
related medical expenses, missed school, missed worked days and early death (AAAAI, 2016). The

An effective asthma plan should include: knowing the triggers of the patient s asthma attacks, taking
the prescribed medication to control asthma and being able to recognize the early signs of an asthma
attack (AAFA, 2015). Being able to understand and identify triggers reduces the use and need for
medication and prevents asthma attacks from occurring. Educating patients on the regular use of
prescribed medication and the importance of compliance is a key factor in asthma management.
Prescribing patient with meter dose inhaler is a beneficial option in the management of an acute
asthma attack for patients. An important goal to set for patients with asthma is the use of a peak flow
meter that can help the patient detect early narrowing of the airways hours or even days before an
asthma attack

Veneers On Teeth Research Paper
The teenage years are tough, even for the most self confident of children. School grades, popularity,
and appearance are all pressure issues for your teen right now. One area of their life where a dentist
can be of assistance is appearance. Braces can be used to straighten teeth and whitening systems can
be used for yellow teeth. But, what do you use for chipped or uneven teeth? Porcelain veneers are an
option to correct the way your teen s teeth look, but they are not the solution for everyone. Before
your child heads down the road of veneers, it is wise to know whether these are going to make your
adolescent smile again.
Existing Teeth Sensitivity
In order for the veneers to be correctly bonded onto the teeth, a slim layer of enamel needs to be
removed from the tooth the veneer is being attached to. However, ... Show more content on

Some people only grind their teeth when they are asleep. The problem with putting veneers onto teeth
that are being regularly ground is that while porcelain veneers are strong, they are not strong enough
to be put under this type of pressure on a daily basis.
If grinding porcelain veneers occurs regularly, the veneers will chip or crack and you will be back at
stage one of damaged teeth. Before proceeding with the implementation of veneers, discuss treatment
options for bruxism with your dentist first. Mouthguards while sleeping and stress management
therapies while awake are two treatment options open to your teenager.
The good news for your teenager is that even if veneers are not an option at this moment in time, there
are other options open to them to make their teeth look wonderful. Crowns and dental bonds are other
choices that may suit their mouth better. Making an appointment with their dentist to discuss cosmetic
changes is the first step to giving your child back the oral confidence they need to face the

Importance Of Humanitarian Award
The Humanitarian award is an award given to someone who improves people s everyday lives for the
better. It inspires people to do great things around the world. It s earned by going out of your way to
be a better person not only for yourself but for everyone around you. That is why I would nominate
my Dad. My Dad is deserving of the Humanitarian award because he s a hard worker, helps others,
and is caring. When I say he is a hard worker I mean doesn t come home until 10, works every day of
the week, and doesn t stop until he gets everything done. My Dad is the baseball coach at Loras he is
very dedicated to his job. He has worked there for about 20 years and is still going strong. Although
they don t always win every game my Dad still has a positive attitude. After he s had a rough game he
goes home and tries to figure out ways to improve. Then gets right back out there and tries again. He
is always trying to improve as a coach. He teaches his players new techniques and skills to better their
game. I love seeing the great relationships he has with his players. After all this only one reason why I
would nominate my dad for this award. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Pros And Cons Of Organ Transplants
A major obstacle to obtaining an organ transplant today is that donated organs is the very limited
supply of organs, while the waiting lists are very long (Jenkins, Reilly, Schwab, 1999). Organ
transplants vary in the type of organ needed, and some are more limited than others. Unfortunately,
many individuals pass away waiting on the list rather than living a fulfilled life after receiving their
donated organ (Jenkins, Reilly, Schwab, 1999). Due to the indefinite wait on the transplant list, the
controversy has emerged about who should be allowed to receive one. It is understandable that some
individuals and families of those waiting on the list become frustrated. There are opinions that anyone
with a known substance abuse issue should not have access to a donated organ, especially if they do
not have plans to cessate their addiction post transplantation. However, others may feel that everyone
is equal and no matter what circumstances, that they should have equal opportunity to obtain a
transplant. In order to comprehensively cover the controversy, we will first discuss supporting points
of organ transplants for current substance abusers. Hepatitis C and alcoholic liver disease are both
leading causes of liver transplantation in the United States (Koch Banys, 2001). Liver transplantation
in alcoholic patients was well established, but there was limited research on the practices and policies
regarding past or current substance abuse at the time of liver transplant (Koch

  • 2. Dance Place Research Paper Growing up, I ve always had an eye for the art of dance. When I was five years old I was a part of many dance teams in school and church. From dancing to helping others, I have always been involved in the dance world. For my future career, I d love to become a professional dance teacher at the Visual Arts School. If I could help out at the Dance Place internship, I know that I would show just how ready I am for my future. The most important reason I would make a great intern at the Dance Place is because of my experience with being a captain, coaching, and teaching. The beginning of high school up until now I was promoted to being captain of the Knights Visual Ensemble dance team. My duties are to make sure I keep a group of 25 girls organized ... Being able to do this puts me in a professional environment at an early age and forces me to be completely responsible. Any mistake I make teaches me a major lesson and prepares me for future. This also preps me to handle things such as working with you at the Dance Place intership. I m well known around my area for having good technique, because of this a lot of studios and schools tend to give me opportunities to come work with people of all ages. About 3 times a month I receive emails or phone calls asking me to come and teach technique courses for a full day. Techniques I m known for are hip hop, ballet, combos, and across the floors. • 3. Consumer Experience At Green Island s Rummage Shop And... Consumer experience is resultant of an interactive relationship between a customer and an establishment. It is created via the business and its employees, the consumers themselves and other contributing factors (Verhoef et al., 2009). In order to understand consumption experience, we visited the Green Island s Rummage Shop and Recycling Centre. This establishment is, for the most part, a recycling station and second hand store containing items that have been extracted from what is brought to the dump, then cleaned in order to be sold on to customers. At the Rummage Shop, we informally interviewed over a dozen people who we thought could provide insight on consumer experience at Green Island. We then analysed these findings, as well as reflecting on our own consumption experience at this place. Social and cultural influence was the main consumer behaviour theory we applied when discussing how consumer s experience Green Island Rummage Shop and Recycling Centre. We discussed their consumption experience here in terms of why consumers consume in a recycling based environment, their consumption choices and their perceptions on the consumption experience at Green Island. Cultural and social norms are constantly evolving in today s consumer environment, thus influencing the consumption experience (Arnould Thompson, 2005). The Green Island consumer experience has been greatly influenced by the fact that current culture encourages recycling and sustainability. A cultural ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Essay on Critique of Hume s Analysis of Causality Critique of Hume s Analysis of Causality Hume s analyses of human apprehension and of causality were the most penetrating up to his time and continue to have great influence. Contemporary Spanish philosopher Xavier Zubiri (1893 1983) has examined both and identified three underlying errors: (1) the failure to recognize that there are three stages of human intellection, and especially that the first, primordial apprehension, has quite unique characteristics; (2) the attempt to place an excessive burden on the content of impressions while ignoring what Zubiri terms their formality of reality ; and (3) the failure to recognize that functionality, not causality, is the basis for most of our knowledge. Causal chains in general cannot be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This task Hume undertook in his Treatise of Human Nature, Book I. In Part IV, he is concerned to establish a reason or explanation for our belief in the independent and continuing existence of external things or bodies , for upon this all causal reasoning about such things must ultimately rest. As is well known, Hume argues that such belief must either come from the senses, reason, or what he terms imagination ; and he dismisses the first two, leaving only the last, where he attributes the belief to coherence and constancy of impressions. (1) For the present study, details of Hume s argument are not as important as his basic assumptions. One of those assumptions, never explicitly stated but always lurking just beneath the surface, is that all reasoning and understanding of the external world comes from the mind working on the content of sensible impressions, be they pains, pleasures, colors, or sounds. The burden of inferring the existence of things outside of the mind then must fall upon the mind and those processes available to it, because what the senses deliver is inadequate to the task: That our senses offer not their impressions as the images of something distinct, or independent, and external, is evident; because they convey to us ... • 5. The Bluest Eye Racism Essay How The Bluest Eye Makes Commentary on Racism Toni Morrison s The Bluest Eye is a novel about racism, yet there are relatively few instances of direct oppression. The Bluest Eye presents a more complicated portrait of racism. The characters are subject to an internalized set of values, which creates its own cycle of victimization. Morrison s novel highlights how cultural ideals based on skin colour and physical features function as tools of racial oppression. For all races and for all individuals, it is critical to fully understand how society influences our values and beliefs. The focal character, Pecola, is victimized by a society that conditions her to believe that she is ugly and therefore worthless, because she doesn t epitomize white ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Very early in the novel, Pecola shows excessive enthusiasm for Shirley Temple, which can be seen from her fascination with Frieda s blue and white Shirley Temple mug and unstoppable milk drinking from that mug three quarts of milk a day. This can be interpreted as a part of her desire to internalize the values of white culture, a symbolic moment that foreshadows her desire to possess blue eyes. In yearning to be Shirley Temple, Pecola denies her own identity, A little black girl yearns for the blue eyes of a little white girl, and the horror at the heart of her yearning is exceeded only by the evil of fulfilment (Morrison, 1999, p.34). Pecola connects beauty with being loved and believes that if she possesses blue eyes, the cruelty in her life will be replaced by affection and respect. Surely, Pecola suffers most from white beauty standards and this hopeless desire leads ultimately to her madness. To Pecola, blue eyes, blond hair and white skin equals beauty, which leads to happiness. It is difficult to fault a young girl for this misinterpretation. Certainly both white and black communities in her world seem to support the idea. In The Bluest Eye, Morrison presents the whole community as having taken the white criteria of beauty for their ... Through their studies of polar bear scat and video surveillance, the biologists have come to the conclusion that polar bears are beginning to adopt a new form of food. They are beginning to eat from the abundant source of snow geese. The snow geese have been traveling farther north in the spring to nest in the grassy, arctic marshes. Here they lay their eggs, vulnerable to predators such as the polar bear. Due to the global warming, the arctic ice has begun to melt at a much faster pace. This means that polar bears have less time and less ice to hunt for seals. The polar bears have always relied on seals ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Integrated Healthcare Marketing Strategies Integrated Healthcare Marketing Strategies Introduction The creation and execution of promotional and communications strategies are by definition today multichannel and multimedia in scope. Combining both online and offline forms of media, the best practices in integrated marketing communications includes digital media that is inherently more measurable than offline counterparts, with offline media that is more agile from a messaging standpoint (Finne, Strandvik, 2012). The accuracy and precision of measurement that online marketing channels and platforms provide, in addition to the more immediate response generated from programs, is leading to digital media being the majority of integrated marketing communications spending globally (Reinold, Tropp, 2012). This has significant implications on the ethicacy of advertising for healthcare products, as customers demand more authenticity and transparency through these online channels (Bernoff, Li, 2008). The pervasive use of social media is re ordering the balance of power between customer and marketer roles in the marketplace (Finne, Strandvik, 2012). These are all factors healthcare marketers need to keep in mind when designing their strategic marketing plans. Bringing Ethicacy Into Integrated Marketing Plans For any health related product, the integrated marketing communications strategy needs to first concentrate on the entire customer experience and be cognizant of their needs while striving for complete authenticity ... • 10. Feudalism In Medieval Europe ife was extremely difficult for those living during the Middle Ages. Many people were illiterate, and relied mainly on their beliefs. The people believed that fate ruled their existence; therefore, there was little hope for improving their condition. During the years of the Roman Empire, the peasants, or poor citizens of the empire, were protected by the soldiers of the emperor. After the fall of the Roman Empire in 476 A.D., the peasants longed for protection. There were no laws protecting these peasants, so they turned to the lords to keep the peace and to act on their behalf. The willingness exemplified by the peasants to be ruled by the lords led to the beginnings of the dominant social system in Medieval Europe: feudalism. Feudalism is simply defined as land exchanged for work. However, feudalism entails a more complicated aspect: a social hierarchy in which protection and military service was exchanged for homage, labor, and a share of the produce. R.J. Barendense, an author of the Journal of World History, states that feudalism is ...a specific world historic juncture in which peasant societies were subjugated by an aristocracy of mounted warriors that became more powerful than any central institution and increasingly appropriated the jurisdiction over the peasants, and thus the land revenue. In other worlds, the nobility held lands from the Crown in exchange for military service, and vassals were in turn tenants of the nobles, while the peasants, or serfs, were obliged to live on their lord s land and give him homage, labor, and a share of the produce, notionally in exchange for military protection. Feudalism established an ultimate system of control for medieval society, providing a degree of cohesiveness in a society that lacked an adequate bureaucracy or method of taxation. As stated, feudalism was simply a system of government in which people were given land and protection by people of a higher rank. The lower class worked fought for the upper class in return. In feudalism, the main Feudal Hierarchy consisted of the King, the Nobles, the Knights, and the Peasants, who were called serfs. The King was the highest person according to the feudal system. The mechanical properties of the welded joint are determined by the microstructural behavior of weldmetal [2]. It is well established that alloying elements such as Ti, Ni, B, Mo, Cr etc play an important role for microstructural development [3]. Therefore, it is very essential to manipulate the composition of welding consumables for the optimum joint properties. Previous researchers have used various procedures to manipulate weld metal composition. Two major approaches for improving the WM properties are to use of different types of flux and another one is to alter WM composition by the introduce of newer filler material or by metal powder addition in WM [4]. Generally, weldmetal microstructure of conventional low alloy steel consists of varying amounts of acicular ferrite, polygonal ferrite, widmanstatten ferrite and M A microphases. It has been reported that the acicular ferrite provide the optimum microstructure to the welds because of its fine grain size, as well as dislocation density and reducing crack propagation[2]. One of the useful methods for promoting the acicular ferrite formation in SAW is the enrichment of various oxides into the flux such as titanium oxide, zirconium oxide, boron oxide. These oxides in the flux may contribute to different metallic element dissolution and oxygen into the weld [5]. Evans et al. [6] studied the effect of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. Personal Statement Of Engineering In Electronics And... It is no doubt that Engineering plays a vital role in our society. This is magnified in a time when the world is faced with so many significant problems climate change, population density to name just two. It is for this reason that I am so excited about the prospect of studying Engineering, especially at the point of so many major advances in technology, in AI and nanomaterials for example. In the future, I hope to help to lead these advances and solve these problems. My interest in building projects first started when I began studying Electronics in Year 9. I remember the joy I felt after making some Christmas lights flash in different patterns. Though it was simple, seeing how I could genuinely make physical changes to my own home brought me great pleasure. As I became more knowledgeable in Electronics and Engineering, I began building far more impressive projects. In Year 11, I assembled and coded a quadcopter, for which I was awarded a CREST Gold award. During the course of Year 12, I made a facial recognition system using a Raspberry Pi and open source libraries. These projects have showed me the practical aspects of Engineering, particularly in how important it is to be able to troubleshoot. [more detail] [A book quote, e.g. as X says in Y ; ]. Another major project I have worked on recently involved building a suite of different LEDs that can have features such as its flicker rate and intensity configured to a very precise level. This formed part of a larger research project investigating how animals react to types of light. The project, done as part of a Nuffield Research Placement was very different to my previous ventures as it involved dozens of different people with a wide range of skillsets. I found that this project developed not only my ability to work as a team [example], but also showed me how research works at the PhD level. Of course, I understand that Engineering is not just about building projects in the garage and I have been actively seeking to gain a more diverse appreciation of what constitutes Engineering. I recently attended a four day Headstart course at Warwick University which proved to be an enlightening experience because of the amount of new material that was covered, ... • 18. The Transformation Of Metamorphosis In Franz Kafka s The... In Franz Kafka s novella, The Metamorphosis, the main character Gregor Samsa awakes from his sleep transformed into a bug. As the story develops, not only does Gregor go through the phases of a metamorphosis but also his family especially his sister Grete. If the novella is about hope, then it would explain the actions and plot lines introduced to the reader. What is Grete s metamorphosis? How does she bring new hope to the Samsa family? Is the hope found within the tragic transformation of Gregor? When I first read the book the only metamorphosis that I examined was that of Gregor s, however, as I began to analyze each paragraph deeply, Grete s metamorphosis came into light and revealed a whole new meaning for the title. Grete transformed from being a young and respectful daughter to being an independent and spiteful one. At the beginning of the novella, Grete is first introduced like many other characters, she is the voice behind a wall; on the right side the sister began to sob (17). Kafka allows the reader to assume that Grete is an anxious and overdramatic person, Grete begins to cry just because Gregor won t open his door. Kafka again establishes Grete s melodramatic personality with the use of free indirect speech, And why was she crying? (17). Even though Grete was a childish girl at the beginning of the story, she was also very caring towards Gregor even after he had shown himself to the world; But he could never guessed what his sister in her kindness [...] to test his likings, she brought him a big selection (26). As the novella develops Grete grows as a woman, and her personality matures. Grete now has taken over Gregor s family duties, and her stature in the family has risen, We have to get rid of it (47). The use of direct speech gives Grete more authority than her parents which gives her a lot of independence not only does Grete have more independence but she also has become more spiteful towards Gregor; At last! to her parents as she turned the key in the lock (49). The locking of the door shows the reader that Grete no longer cares for Gregor and has realized that he was a considerable burden. In analyzing these ideas, the environment and public health concerns intertwine in a discourse about the relationship on both power and knowledge. Fracking is a new issue for the state of Maryland to consider; therefore dominant narratives on this subject are still being developed and legitimized. Studies have been conducted in other regions around the world to analyze the various effects fracking has had on the environment and within communities, both economically and politically. However, despite the potential for Western Maryland to become a possible new site for fracking, there is a lack of literature that specifically analyzes the environmental and public health concerns as a discourse that may be detrimental to the people and the environment in this region. Also, as a result of fracking being a relatively new source of natural gas, there has yet to be a significant number of studies analyzing the health effects caused by fracking even in regions that have allowed fracking for a number of years. The Marcellus Shale underlies Western Maryland along with New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia and is the United States largest on shore natural gas reserve (Marcellus Shale Safe Drilling Initiative, 2015). I am there to guide their learning, the students will be allowed to share, correct, and exchange information when the time is appropriate. Reasonable Religious Disagreements Summary In Reasonable Religious Disagreements, Feldman discusses the role of intolerance and relativism in argumentation in regards to how epistemic peers who have a share of the same evidence reasonably maintain their own belief, all the while, maintaining that the other party of the disagreement is reasonable in their belief as well. This essay will concentrate on the benefits of Feldman s observation and the benefits of critical thinking in argumentation as well as elaborate on the main reason as to why people so desperately agree to disagree in relation to media coverage. Feldman begins the introduction of his inquiry by identifying the importance of argumentation in critical thinking and epistemology. He states, Epistemology is the abstract study of knowledge and rationality. Critical thinking, as I understand it, is a kind of applied epistemology, the underlying idea being that thinking clearly and carefully about any issue requires understanding and applying some fundamental epistemological concepts (Feldman 1). He goes further to describe arguments as tools for helping us figure out what it is most reasonable to believe (Feldman 2). A good argument is an earnest exchange between different parties that are trying to establish an agreeable conclusion. It is for this reason that agreeing to disagree is fallacious. In a debate, the sole purpose is to challenge ideas and claims in order to come to the paramount and most logical conclusion. The function of deliberation is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It has increased contact between these cultures, which then led to an increase in misunderstanding, resentment, and eventually conflict. Huntington also hypothesizes that the leading factor of conflict in the 21st century will be the differences between cultures. This will eventually result in the change of dominance within civilizations to different civilizations. Lastly, he also predicts that the West, Arab nations, such as Saudi Arabia, and China will also have and an increase in cultural conflict with one another. Huntington then goes on to hypothesize that the ultimate source of conflict in this world will not only be ideological or economical but the division between human kind will mostly take place because of the cultural conflict. He says that The clash of civilizations will dominate global politics. The fault lines between civilizations will be the battle lines of the future. (82). The Pros And Cons Of Organ Transplants A major obstacle to obtaining an organ transplant today is that donated organs is the very limited supply of organs, while the waiting lists are very long (Jenkins, Reilly, Schwab, 1999). Organ transplants vary in the type of organ needed, and some are more limited than others. Unfortunately, many individuals pass away waiting on the list rather than living a fulfilled life after receiving their donated organ (Jenkins, Reilly, Schwab, 1999). Due to the indefinite wait on the transplant list, the controversy has emerged about who should be allowed to receive one. It is understandable that some individuals and families of those waiting on the list become frustrated. There are opinions that anyone with a known substance abuse issue should not have access to a donated organ, especially if they do not have plans to cessate their addiction post transplantation. However, others may feel that everyone is equal and no matter what circumstances, that they should have equal opportunity to obtain a transplant.
