How Is Julius Caesar Justified
Friends turn on each other all the time, but not like Brutus and Caesar. William Shakespeare s play,
Julius Caesar revolves around Caesar s assassination and the outcomes surrounding it. Brutus is one of
Caesar s closest friends but is convinced to help murder him. The murder takes place before Caesar
gains controls of Rome, as a measure of preemptive action. Brutus s precautionary action against
Caesar is not justified because he does not have proof, Caesar is a good man, and it makes things
worse for Rome. Though Caesar receives over thirty stab wounds, there is not one reason for
murdering him. Many people believe he wants to be a dictator, but they have no proof of this claim.
During the first act, Casca explains to Cassius and Brutus what all the commotion is, I saw Mark
Antony offer him a crown..he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At Caesar s funeral, Antony proves how good Caesar really was. In his will, he left seventy five
drachmas to each citizen as well as all of his property. When the citizens hear this, they immediately
want to avenge his death, We ll burn his body in the holy place, And with the brands fire the traitors
houses (3.2.244 245). The citizens realize what a mistake it is to kill a great man and ruler like Caesar
and even take matters into their own hands, saying they will burn down houses and erupt in chaos.
The citizens are not the only ones who are saddened by Caesar s death, Brutus is as well. Brutus s
guilt haunts him with ghosts of Caesar visiting him in his sleep multiple times. The first time he sees
the ghost he does not believe it, he asks Lucius, Didst thou dream, Lucius, that thou so criedst out? To
which Lucius answers, My lord, I did not know that I did cry, (4.3.301 302). If Brutus believes he
made the right decision he would not be haunted by Caesar s ghost. Brutus even believes that Caesar
is a good man, which is why he feels so much

I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud, By John Muir And William...
Albert Einstein spoke of nature and its value when he said, Look deep into nature, and then you will
understand everything better. As Einstein pointed out, by looking into nature you could discover
something new about yourself and the world around you. John Muir and William Wordsworth both
discovered joy when they looked deep into nature. This joy gave them a new perspective on nature
and life and they each expressed this joy through different works of writing. Both authors have a
unique outlook on nature and its impact as well as different thoughts on how to share their
relationships; Muir used diction and connotation to show his relationship in his essay The Calypso
Borealis where Wordsworth used tone and syntax in his poem I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud .
John Muir expressed his relationship with nature in his essay titled The Calypso Borealis by using
diction and connotation. John Muir described the Calypso and its surroundings when he wrote:
growing not in the ground but on a bed of yellow mosses in which its small white bulb had found a
soft nest and from which its one ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wordsworth demonstrates his use of tone and syntax in the following stanza, Continuous as the stars
that shine And twinkle on the milky way, They stretched in never ending line Along the margin of a
bay: Ten thousand saw I at a glance, Tossing their heads in a sprightly dance. The tone of the stanza is
joyful because he is happy when he talks about how beautiful the daffodils are. This shows how his
relationship with nature is positive since he is happy when watching the daffodils. Wordsworth uses
traditional syntax in this stanza. He uses several phrases divided by commas to describe the daffodils
and their movements. This gives the stanza a playful pace which again expresses that his relationship
with nature is happy and

Reflection On Nutrition
There was a tremendous amount of effort that went in to the process of carrying out my behavior
change in a successful manor. I had to rely on sheer dedication, will power and trust in appropriate
programing in order to continuously make progress. I have found that there is no substitute for being
willing to do little tasks consistently, for these tasks later yield large results. To ensure that I was going
to maximize my potential of reaching my goal of gaining 2 3.5 lbs. of lean body mass, then I was
going to need to have a detailed plan from the beginning. In order to provide adequate programing, I
decided to seek knowledge from an experienced personal trainer. I did not have to go far as my mother
has over 25 years of experience in the fitness world, and specifically personal training. Together we
came up with a program that would allow for maximum muscular hypertrophy and strength increase,
by carefully delegating the stimulation of training sessions and appropriate recovery. I then evaluated
what I was going to need to consume in regards of nutrition. Assessing the appropriate amount of each
nutrient was another key factor that I had to evaluate and then enforce into my daily life. Through
these implementations there was a clear roadmap that would guide me to the end result I was seeking.
With a clear vision and guide in place, the ability to carry out and complete all the prescribed actions.
This is something that I did not find to be as easy as I had anticipated. It

Advantages Of Traditional Poe
Running head: 802.3af (Traditional PoE)

Ariane Quenum
Loyola University of Chicago
Abstract
Power over Ethernet or PoE is a technology that dispense electrical power and data transmission to
devices, such as IP cameras or phones, access points wireless or bluetooth. PoE devices that are placed
in remote locations stop not only the need for power outlets, but also cut down the installation costs
and enable the network devices to be adaptable in that region. Consumers and vendors of IP phones
were either supplying local power through an AC (alternating current) electrical outlet or using non
standards based proprietary solutions to provide inline powering. The release of 802.3af came ... Show

Since PoE is used by terminating equipment it consumes little power.
Besides being used in IP telephones, cameras or wireless transmission, PoE can assure a better safety
of a network while it operates as an inessential power supply. PoE makes the network planning
flexible and independent of switch cabinets and sockets. For a better security, it is necessary to shut
down all the PDs that are not in use or not necessary in the office or where are being used. Also with
the popularity of the PoE. it is very easy to use PoE with a variety of other devices.
On one hand, we have Power over Ethernet PSE (Power Supplying Equipment) which supplies PoE
PD devices with electricity via the data cable and is also a source of voltage. It may use either End
Span or Mid Span. The end span method basically means that there is a hardware device such as a
PoE capable switch at the beginning of the twisted pair cable. A PoE capable switch simply defines a
switch that has the capability of transmitting DC voltage over the twisted pair cable along with data.
Figure 1: Power supplied from LAN equipment with end span PSE
The other method, known as Mid span, provides power on the twisted pair cable at some point after
the switch/router but before the device you are powering. An example of a Mid span device would be
something like a Single Port PoE injector (Planet3 Wireless, 2005). A Single Port PoE injector has a
port for the incoming Ethernet cable, a cord for the

Why Did Stalin Come to Power and Not Trotsky
History Essay: Why Stalin Not Trotsky Stalin s race to become the all mighty ruler fully started after
Lenin died of a stroke on the 21st of January 1924. With Lenin gone, Stalin started to eliminate the
other members of the Communist Party: Trotsky, Zinoviev, Kamenev, Rykov, Tomsky and Bukharin.
He very cleverly switched between the left wing and the right wing, by making alliances with one
wing the suddenly breaking with them, only to join the other wing, going against everything that they
had just achieved. Stalin knocked out all other party members along the way even those who were
considered to be his friend. His violent childhood, misguided early life and the death of his first wife

There is no doubt that Stalin was very lucky within the communist party with the timing of Lenin s
death. If Lenin had not suffered from a stroke, then he would have had the chance to exclude Stalin
from the communist party. In Lenin s eyes Stalin was considered very rude, aggressive in his methods
and dangerous to the people. However Lenin could not expell Stalin orally, so he wrote in it is his
testament instead. Comrade Stalin having become the General Secretary has immeasurable power in
his hands, and I am not sure he knows how to use that power with sufficient caution. Lenin s testament
was never read out to the public or the communist party because Stalin, Zinoviev and Kamenev
decided it was better that Trotsky was not in power and to keep Stalin on Zinoviev s and Kamenev s
side. Stalin was very clever with the methods in which he used to progress himself in the party
however they were very risky. These risks included misinformation, drastic internal shifts within the
communist party and turning party members against each other. Some of the reasons as to why Stalin
could take such risks was because he had the control over the communist party and he also had a large
wealth of people following him. Due to his pay your respects to the great leader

Breakfast Club Character Evaluations Essay
The Breakfast Club was a movie about five very different characters, Claire, Andrew, Brian, Allison,
and John Bender. Claire was a popular girl, Andrew was a wrestler (jock), Brian was intellectually
gifted, Allison was a basket case, and John Bender was a rebel. On the outside they seem like very
different people, in fact they were all socially opposite, but they also shared so much.
As the movie starts out, the five teenagers are being punished with Saturday detention; their
assignment for the next eight hours was to right a paper entitled Who Am I? Their most probable
assumption was from them to write about their achievements. Being students in America, we are all
raised to excel at whatever we do, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So, naturally, she fell in love with him. Perhaps the one quality that unites everyone is that they all
have trouble with their parents. Claire s problem is that she is used as a weapon to the other spouse of
her parents and the only way she can escape that destiny is to be with friends as much as possible,
liking going to the mall and doing other stuff that she has built up in her mind of being cool. Bender
was hated by his parents and probably was an accident. The way his parents treated him built up this
image of himself in his mind that was negative; and therefore, made him negative. Brian was pushed
to over achieve by his parents and so when he finally got an F he thought that it was the end of the
world, when in fact he most likely doesn t care. He does not think for himself, he thinks, What are my
parents going to think? Andrew thinks the same way. He stated openly that he does not care if he wins
or loses, and that he sometimes wishes that his leg would give so that he would not have to wrestle
anymore. Last, Alison was ignored by her parents; forcing her to think that everyone must ignore her.
All of the characters in the movie show fear of rejection. Andrew, fearing rejection from his father,
hurt another student mentally and physically because he believed that what his father would want.
Brian shows the fear of rejection also in that he thinks that his F would make his family not love him
anymore. His parents

National Security in Foreign Policy
Foreign policy definition: a set of political goals that aims to outline how a particular state will interact
with others
Beach (2012): Foreign policy actions can be undertaken using a variety of different instruments,
ranging from adopting declarations, making speeches, negotiating treaties, giving other states
economic aid, engaging in diplomatic activity such as summits, and the use of military force
No matter which instruments are used, the primary objective of states in outlining their foreign
policies is to maximise their national security.
States can go about maximising national security through different means such as by military force,
economic prosperity and/or the general welfare of its people.
Difficult to analyse to what extent national security is a primary objective of states theories of IR will
help explain states motives and how they go about maximising state security, if it is their prime
objective at all.
This essay will analyse the concept of national security through realism (focused on military power),
liberalism (focused on cooperation through liberal internationalism) and constructivism (focused on
wider definitions of security, such as health and the environment).

The Controversy Over Gun Control
In the past few years Gun control has become a hot topic throughout America. With all the shootings
going around the United States, we are faced with controversies over gun control. Americans believe
that their government is going to do whatever is best for them, but is that true when they are trying to
strip us of our rights that were created for us over 300 years ago. Our country has been thriving with
the amendments and laws set before us, and today we are trying to change them. But by just changing
a few laws is that really going to stop a criminal from getting what they wanted, there criminals for a
reason. Our second amendment gives us the right to bear arms and protect our selves from enemies
foreign and domestic. This is the foundation of country; we fight to keep the right that were given to
us, so that we can protect our families, our country, and our freedom. America has always prided it
self on being the land of the free , but with freedom comes sacrifices. However, most Americans do
not see the significance of freedom, because we are sitting on our couches living normal lives, and on
the other hand we have those individuals that joined the armed forces to keep us a safe and protect our
freedom. Lawrence Hunter stated that The Founders understood that the right to own and bear laws is
as fundamental and as essential to maintaining liberty... With liberty comes freedom and the right to
bear arms, how would the solders feel if they came home and their rights were

Corporate Responsibility And Its Impact On Social...
Sustainable development requires companies to meet their objectives while protecting the quality of
life of their employees, surrounding community, and the environment. More than 40 years ago,
Medtronic s co founder Earl Bakken provided the framework for the company s sustainability strategy
by formulating the company s mission statement that has remained unchanged to the present day.
Medtronic has operated with a clear, compelling mission: To contribute to human welfare through the
application of biomedical engineering in the research, design, manufacture, and sale of instruments or
appliances that alleviate pain, restore health and extend life ( Integrated, , 2016, p.4). This visionary
mission statement also included a group of ethical guidelines such as the need to strive without reserve
for the greatest possible reliability, to recognize the personal worth of employees, and to maintain
good citizenship as a company. Those early tenets of corporate responsibility were the foundation of
Medtronic s current sustainability practices.
Social sustainability practices are conceived to ensure that the business has a positive influence on
social wellbeing. Medtronic considers that supporting access to healthcare improves the quality of life
of the community and view access to healthcare as a human rights issue ( GRI, 2016). By developing

Comparing Bhagavad-Gita And The Bible
Around the world numerous religions exist and are followed by individuals seeking for peace and
enlightenment. Throughout each religion the influence of the Bhagavad Gita is present and overlaps
teachings especially to the Bible. The teachings presented in the Bhagavad Gita: The Song of God are
similar to the teachings found in the sacred scriptures of Christian religious traditions. The Bhagavad
Gita and the Bible are both comprised of collected narratives and verses which reveal lessons. The
Bible reveals aspects depicted in both tales and commandments which portray the goals an individual
should strive for to achieve peace. Christians believe in God for salvation and to do so must relinquish
sin, physically and mentally.
The Bible is shared in two texts, the old and new testament, which present teachings before and after
the birth of Jesus. The teachings are a collection of narratives such as the Bhagavad Gita, which are
tales revealing lessons of conduct. Both collection of narratives emphasizes the devotion an individual
must follow to be united with their God. To follow the religion, the person must prove themselves
worthy and live their life for the complete devotion of their God. People who can t fulfill their
devotion are condemned to a sinful life and are refused salvation. The gunas from the Bhagavad ...

Midwifery Ethnographic Research
The author of this article is Lydia Zacher Dixon. She is a doctoral student in the department of
Anthropology at the University of California, Irvine. She got her B.A. in Gender Studies in 2002 at the
University of Chicago and her M.S. in Anthropology in 2013 at the University of California, Irvine.
She researches the development of professional midwifery education programs in Mexico and has

The author s research questions were How do Mexican midwives deļ¬ne incidences of violence in

profession that stands in contrast to biomedical obstetrics? (438).
In Mexico, midwives were considered to be the experts of maternal health care until the advancement
of biomedicine made them insignificant. Presently, there are high maternal mortality rates in the
country and now there is a movement to increase the practice of midwifery to solve this problem.
Many midwives believe that the medicalization of birth and hospital based obstetric practices are the

Good And Evil In Beowulf
Throughout many forms of literature a common theme that can be seen across books is that no matter
how great and evil may be good will always triumph in the end. A similar case of this can be seen in
the Anglo Saxon Beowulf.
The foul monster Grendel is known for his bloodlust from hunting down those who resided within the
Herot; slaughtering them whenever the sun went down for more than a decade, but even Grendel had
something he feared. Even after the Herot was abandoned and desecrated by Grendel there was one
thing he would not defile. In the Herot sat Hrothgar the King of Danes throne which was protected by
God (Beowulf 82 85). Despite being far stronger than most mortals he feared the possibility of
incurring God s wrath if he harms the throne as Gods in many different cultures are defined as
almighty beings that no one or thing can defy. As such, harming the throne would be a sign of
aggression against not just Hrothgar but God as well. The mortal Beowulf came to slay Grendel, but
mortals should be weaker than monsters. Beowulf however had mentioned to the warriors at the Herot
that while he was swimming across a frozen sea with no more than a sword he fought many sea
creatures. Mentioning that there at the bottom of the sea; by morning they d decided to sleep on the
shore, lying on their backs, their blood spilling out (Beowulf 297 299). Although Beowulf was a
mortal and not close to a God, he is stronger than monster and able to strike fear into them.

Civil Disobedience Controversy
Throughout history, American citizens have voiced their opposition to certain legislation they felt
were immoral. There have been various examples of protest, one of which ignites a lot of controversy;
civil disobedience. Civil disobedience has been used by people who felt they were not being heard.
Even though there are people who will argue against its effectiveness, this is a way for individuals to
take part in their government and promotes a free society. According to the Stanford Encyclopedia of
Philosophy, civil disobedience was initially used by Henry David Thoreau in his essay titled Civil
Disobedience . Thoreau used this to rationalize his decision not to pay taxes for actions by the
government he did not morally agree with. Those after Thoreau used his tactic of civil disobedience to
get laws changed through non violent measures (Brownlee). Having publicity also helps activists
reach their goals and is often an element that is paid close attention to by the participants (Brownlee).
In American history, civil disobedience has been a key technique to initiate change in the areas like the

activists followed the basic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

until unavoidable, in an overwhelming fashion the protagonist finds freedom and we as readers are
awakened to the possibility of where we may need or have had freedom. The Story of an Hour,
properly named, is an amazing example of irony. As soon as the reader is led to believe this newfound
reality for the dear protagonist, she is killed at the stroke of a heart attack. Cause of death: too good to
be true. Her husband stands in the doorway unaware he was even suspected to have been in the
horrible train accident that supposedly took his life.
With this story Chopin has established a dark tone I find similar to the work of Blake. They both show
amazing examples of the power of hope and the elasticity of the human spirit. In The Chimney
Sweeper, a young boy has a hard time coming to terms with having to cut his hair. He doesn t quite
have the mental age for this kind of decision and it is made for him that he must cut his hair to [avoid
infestation and vermin.] (Gordon, Todd. Section 7.) The narrator tells young Tom

High School Sports
Playing a sport or being part of a high school athletic team is something that is very common in today
s society. Whether male or female, there are many different sports to choose from. Baseball, football,
and soccer are three of the main sports that boys participate in. For girls, it may vary from softball,
soccer, tennis, and sometimes even cheerleading. Whatever a person s preference may be, playing any
sport can be very demanding. The number of high school students who play a sport is one that
increases every school year; the effects of playing a sport in high school are losing free time, staying
fit, and struggling to maintain high grades throughout the sporting season and school year.
Just like any other daily activity, playing

There are two board approaches of TQM, which are hard approach and soft approach (Hill, 1991). The
hard approach used the statistical methods to emphasize continuous improvement and get better result
of productivity and profits whereas soft approach is to create strong organization culture and meet
customers demand by focusing on leadership, employee involvement and culture change (Fotopoulos
Psomas, 2009). So, there are three TQM fundamental pillars according to most TQM approaches,
which are top management commitment, continuous improvement and employee involvement (Slack,
Chambers Johnston, 2007). Top managers can improve the performance and effectively change the
culture of an organization (Kaynak, 2013) in ensuring the successful implementation of TQM
(Coulson Thomas, 1991; Doyle, 1992). Xerox s top management used the benchmarking strategy
which is a standard or point of reference in measuring or judging quality, value, etc (Webster, 1979) to
incorporate ideas into own operation by identifying and learning the best perform critical business
functions of other organizations. For examples, Xerox studied the ideas from Cummins Engine
Company to improve production scheduling and ideas from L.L.Bean for improving the distribution
system (Camp, 1992). Besides, top managers of Xerox were required to promote and ensure their
employees stay on track with the new quality strategy in their routine

Marx s Term For Capitalist
Bourgeoisie: Page 10; Marx s term for capitalist, those who own the means of production.
The food production companies have accentually bought the government. If they come up with a plan
to produce more food, no matter how harmful it may be to the consumer, the government will not step
in to protect the citizen of Americans. As the bourgeoisie owns the industry, this fact has been proven
within the video of Food Inc. What is astonishing is that a company was actually able to get a patent
on life. How can a company be allowed to monopolize an entire industry? That is depriving people of
their basic human right of life, to eat healthy food, food that has not been modified by harmful
hormones or genetics. Several of the food production companies give jobs to illegal immigrants and
once their services are no longer needed, then the heads of these companies call immigration to have
them arrested and deported back to their home country. This in turn saves the company money
because they do not have to pay out anything for unemployment wages for laying the employees off
for a period of time. The food industry has really become the bourgeoisie of this century.
Proletariat: Page 10: Marx s term for the exploited class, the mass of workers who do not have the
means of production.
In this case, this class of workers is the farmers and the people who work in the food production plant.
The farmers are forced to purchase seed from a company, which sells nothing expect GMO seed.

Regenerative Medicine
Though great progress has been made in medicine, current evidence based and palliative treatments
are increasingly unable to keep pace with patients needs, especially given our aging population. There
are few effective ways to treat the root causes of many diseases, injuries and congenital conditions. In
many cases, clinicians can only manage patients symptoms using medications or devices.
Regenerative medicine is a game changing area of medicine with the potential to fully heal damaged
tissues and organs, offering solutions and hope for people who have conditions that today are beyond
repair. Regenerative medicine itself isn t new the first bone marrow and solid organ transplants were
done decades ago. But advances in developmental and cell biology, immunology, and other fields have
unlocked new opportunities to refine existing regenerative therapies and develop novel ones.
According to The Center for Regenerative Medicine takes three interrelated approaches. The first
approach is the Rejuvenation. Rejuvenation means ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

unique qualities, with some being more versatile than others. Many of the regenerative therapies under
development in the Center for Regenerative Medicine begin with the particular patient s own cells.
For example, a patient s own skin cells may be collected, reprogrammed in a laboratory to give them

Naked Economics Chapter 2 Essay
The main point of chapter two is to explain why economies do not have a fixed number of jobs
regardless of manpower. This is a common misconception whereas an increase in the manpower of an
economy will increase the unemployment rate. However, due to large numbers of migrations that have
occurred recently, real world experiments can be observed to understand the impacts. What has been
learned from these events is that a reactive economy can handle fluctuations in the size of the
workforce satisfactorily. The Mariel boatlift is a good real world example of a large migration from
Cuba to Miami had little impact on employment and wages in Miami. The economic explanation for
this illogical occurrence is due the ability the Miami economy was ... Show more content on

Lowering the retirement age may be a good way for those to exit the labor force opening up more jobs
and reducing unemployment. However, it will have the opposite impact, due to the ratio of working
age population to the retirees. This puts more cost of retirements on the GDP, increasing the taxes
levied to pay for items like social security. In turn, this increase in the costs of labor will have the
opposite effect and would have negative impacts to employment. In France another method to increase
more people in a job was the 35 hour work week law. Studies in Germany and France have shown that
reducing the work week has little impact on employment though. People in Germany did work less,
but additional position creation did not happen. In France those who were impacted by the reduction
actually were more likely to lose their job and had no positive impact in the level of employment. The
reason shortening the work week does not increase the level of employment is the same as migration.
There are not a fixed number of jobs or hours to be

Mandala Religion Essay
The beliefs and symbols illustrated in my mandala are positioned in a way that they connect to each
other. The first Hindu belief is Brahman. I put the symbol of Brahman on the bottom of the mandala to
show that it controls and connects to the other four beliefs. Next, the belief of multiple gods will be
placed on the right side of Brahman because he is one of the many gods that the Hindus believe in. On
the other side of Brahman will be Dharma because they both have to do with balancing society and the
universe. On top of Dharma will be Karma. I will put it in this position because Dharma affects your
Karma. If you follow rules then your Karma will be good, and if you don t follow the rules then your
Karma won t be as good. Lastly, Samsara will be placed next to Karma and Dharma. Samsara would
be placed next to these beliefs because your Karma is what you will receive or be like in your next
life. Dharma connects to Samsara because the release called Moksha will be achieved if you follow
certain spiritual and ritual practices to have a good relation and personal experience with Gods. There
are many other ways that all these beliefs connect to each other, but the ways I just talked about relate
to the illustrations I have drawn on the mandala.
I illustrated the belief of Brahman by using the Earth, Sun, and water droplets as symbols. I choose to

they were. The social class triangle represents each of the levels of social class that the Hindus are
recognized as. If you follow your dharma which is performing and following duties and rules of your
social class, then you will contribute to a better world and a stronger social class. I drew the rocks

harmony and balance of society and the

The Journey Of Self Discovery
Who are you? Who are you in the eyes of a total stranger and who would they see when they look at
you? Is this perception of you the same or different from who you think you are or who you want to
be? Do you know who you are, and if you do, when did you take the path of self discovery? The
journey of self discovery is a journey that most people take at some point during their life, whether it
is very early in life or rather late in life. In the novels, Billy Lynn s Long Halftime Walk by Ben
Fountain, Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald the three
protagonists have all undergone a journey on the path of self discovery. These journey range in length,
depth, and significance just as these self ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each of the protagonists have started or completed their path towards their journey to self discovery,
however no path is identical and the results of having started or having completed the journey vary in
significance and effectiveness in regards to the impact that they have one their lives. The life you live
is what shapes who you are and is what leads you on your path towards self discovery. This may seem
obvious, that self discovery is a journey that happens during one s lifetime, but some people are not as
fortunate to live such a fulfilled life that they are able to partake in such a journey. There are people
that would argue that to simply have a life does not mean that one is actually living. With that being
said, it is privilege to not only live a life, but to also discover one s own identity because some people
who live do not get that far either. In these three novels the three protagonists, Billy Lynn, Jay Gatsby,
and Invisible Man, have all lived lives that have led them on their path to self discovery. Billy s own
journey was one mainly focused on battling with his own inner self. Inner peace you need to know
who you are, what you want out of life. You have to do your own thinking, and for that you better
know who you are, and not just know but be secure in it, comfortable with yourself (Fountain), in this
quote Billy is recognizing and showcasing to the readers his own path to understanding and
discovering himself. Billy

Three Types of Costs When Quality Considerations
Memo to my supervisor Jane Doyle
Hi Jane
I would like to bring to your attention three types of costs when quality considerations are made here
at Acme Catsup Company. The first costs would be our failure costs. The second would be our
appraisal costs. The third is the cost of prevention.
With failure costs some of the costs would be equipment break downs and spills. Our equipment costs
3 million dollars so we don t want to replace it for at least 10 years. The routine maintenance for the
equipment is $500,000 a year. The cost for the spills is a total of $120,000 a year. That includes
$50,000 for the training classes on spill prevention and $70,000 for the salary of two new spill
prevention workers.
Some costs of appraisal would be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the spills we would have to hold extra training classes to train the existing workers to stop the
machines before the spills happen. We would also have to hire two new workers to clean the spills as
soon as they happen. The training would cost $50,000 and prevent 80% of the spills. The two new
workers would cost $35,000 each per year for a total of $70,000. That $120,000 would be well spent
because we are spending $500,000 now on spills and breakdowns.
The tradeoff associated with appraisal costs would also be profitable to Acme Catsup Company. Right
now we are losing 3 million a year because of returns and defective products. The new data collecting
system and third party audits would reduce returns and defects by 90%. This would save us $280,000.
The cost for this data collection and third party audits would only be $70,000 a year. This is a small
price to pay considering the amount of money we will save.
The cost of prevention is well worth the tradeoff. Mistake proofing, scheduled maintenance and Six
Sigma will cost out company approximately 2 million a year. We will see the benefits of mistake
proofing and scheduled maintenance after the first few months. These two things alone will save the
company 5 million a year. Six Sigma will take a little longer to see the results of because of the
lengthy process to implement it. After the second year we will see huge

Examples Of Conflict In The Alchemist
The Alchemist
Santiago, the main protagonist, never gave up and continued to follow his dreams despite him going
through many obstacles. The conflict arises as he s trying to find treasure depicted to him through a
dream while trying to overcome the brutality of the world and those trying to hold him back. The
conflict enhances the story, as he did not give up and kept moving towards his goal with the help of
friends that he meets throughout his journey in order to seek out his dreams. The boy was a shepherd

little boy leading him throughout Egypt to where treasure would be, yet as soon was the boy would

of where the treasure of hidden, and he told him to follow his dream, and gave him two rocks named
Urim and Thummim. Santiago then raised enough money to go to Egypt, while there he met a boy at a
bar who then agreed to take them Santiago to the pyramids if he was in charge of his money, and
Santiago agreed. While he was looking at a sword the boy ran off leaving Santiago with no money.

  • 2. How Is Julius Caesar Justified Friends turn on each other all the time, but not like Brutus and Caesar. William Shakespeare s play, Julius Caesar revolves around Caesar s assassination and the outcomes surrounding it. Brutus is one of Caesar s closest friends but is convinced to help murder him. The murder takes place before Caesar gains controls of Rome, as a measure of preemptive action. Brutus s precautionary action against Caesar is not justified because he does not have proof, Caesar is a good man, and it makes things worse for Rome. Though Caesar receives over thirty stab wounds, there is not one reason for murdering him. Many people believe he wants to be a dictator, but they have no proof of this claim. The citizens realize what a mistake it is to kill a great man and ruler like Caesar and even take matters into their own hands, saying they will burn down houses and erupt in chaos. The citizens are not the only ones who are saddened by Caesar s death, Brutus is as well. Brutus s guilt haunts him with ghosts of Caesar visiting him in his sleep multiple times. The first time he sees the ghost he does not believe it, he asks Lucius, Didst thou dream, Lucius, that thou so criedst out? To which Lucius answers, My lord, I did not know that I did cry, (4.3.301 302). If Brutus believes he made the right decision he would not be haunted by Caesar s ghost. • 3. I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud, By John Muir And William... Albert Einstein spoke of nature and its value when he said, Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better. As Einstein pointed out, by looking into nature you could discover something new about yourself and the world around you. John Muir and William Wordsworth both discovered joy when they looked deep into nature. This joy gave them a new perspective on nature and life and they each expressed this joy through different works of writing. Both authors have a unique outlook on nature and its impact as well as different thoughts on how to share their relationships; Muir used diction and connotation to show his relationship in his essay The Calypso Borealis where Wordsworth used tone and syntax in his poem I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud . John Muir expressed his relationship with nature in his essay titled The Calypso Borealis by using diction and connotation. I had to rely on sheer dedication, will power and trust in appropriate programing in order to continuously make progress. I have found that there is no substitute for being willing to do little tasks consistently, for these tasks later yield large results. To ensure that I was going to maximize my potential of reaching my goal of gaining 2 3.5 lbs. of lean body mass, then I was going to need to have a detailed plan from the beginning. In order to provide adequate programing, I decided to seek knowledge from an experienced personal trainer. I did not have to go far as my mother has over 25 years of experience in the fitness world, and specifically personal training. Together we came up with a program that would allow for maximum muscular hypertrophy and strength increase, by carefully delegating the stimulation of training sessions and appropriate recovery. I then evaluated what I was going to need to consume in regards of nutrition. Assessing the appropriate amount of each nutrient was another key factor that I had to evaluate and then enforce into my daily life. Through these implementations there was a clear roadmap that would guide me to the end result I was seeking. For a better security, it is necessary to shut down all the PDs that are not in use or not necessary in the office or where are being used. Also with the popularity of the PoE. it is very easy to use PoE with a variety of other devices. On one hand, we have Power over Ethernet PSE (Power Supplying Equipment) which supplies PoE PD devices with electricity via the data cable and is also a source of voltage. It may use either End Span or Mid Span. The end span method basically means that there is a hardware device such as a PoE capable switch at the beginning of the twisted pair cable. A PoE capable switch simply defines a switch that has the capability of transmitting DC voltage over the twisted pair cable along with data. Figure 1: Power supplied from LAN equipment with end span PSE The other method, known as Mid span, provides power on the twisted pair cable at some point after the switch/router but before the device you are powering. • 17. Good And Evil In Beowulf Throughout many forms of literature a common theme that can be seen across books is that no matter how great and evil may be good will always triumph in the end. A similar case of this can be seen in the Anglo Saxon Beowulf. The foul monster Grendel is known for his bloodlust from hunting down those who resided within the Herot; slaughtering them whenever the sun went down for more than a decade, but even Grendel had something he feared. Even after the Herot was abandoned and desecrated by Grendel there was one thing he would not defile. In the Herot sat Hrothgar the King of Danes throne which was protected by God (Beowulf 82 85). Despite being far stronger than most mortals he feared the possibility of incurring God s wrath if he harms the throne as Gods in many different cultures are defined as almighty beings that no one or thing can defy. As such, harming the throne would be a sign of aggression against not just Hrothgar but God as well. The mortal Beowulf came to slay Grendel, but mortals should be weaker than monsters. Beowulf however had mentioned to the warriors at the Herot that while he was swimming across a frozen sea with no more than a sword he fought many sea creatures. Mentioning that there at the bottom of the sea; by morning they d decided to sleep on the shore, lying on their backs, their blood spilling out (Beowulf 297 299). Andrew Plascencia 09/27/2014 Final Essay Literature Prof. H Zameni Little Hope I could never understand living under tyrannies of the old world. The best we can do is learn from those who were there. Literature has been called the reflection of human experience and to many, including my self; it can be a window peering into another age. Chimney sweeps in the old United Kingdom used to be teams of young boys sold into the profession usually to settle a debt and without work regulations; these children would suffer harsh conditions with seemingly no end in sight, minus the permanent solution. What would life be like outside the constant beating and rigid order of conduct? Author, Kate Chopin, beautifully illustrates the thought process of such a woman. Though faced with a new and challenging reality, the truth remains, life goes on. Freedom will come for those who escape their captors and at first where they may panic soon another feeling takes hold. Small and persisting until unavoidable, in an overwhelming fashion the protagonist finds freedom and we as readers are awakened to the possibility of where we may need or have had freedom. The Story of an Hour, properly named, is an amazing example of irony. As soon as the reader is led to believe this newfound reality for the dear protagonist, she is killed at the stroke of a heart attack. Cause of death: too good to be true. Her husband stands in the doorway unaware he was even suspected to have been in the horrible train accident that supposedly took his life. With this story Chopin has established a dark tone I find similar to the work of Blake. They both show amazing examples of the power of hope and the elasticity of the human spirit. If they come up with a plan to produce more food, no matter how harmful it may be to the consumer, the government will not step in to protect the citizen of Americans. As the bourgeoisie owns the industry, this fact has been proven within the video of Food Inc. What is astonishing is that a company was actually able to get a patent on life. How can a company be allowed to monopolize an entire industry? That is depriving people of their basic human right of life, to eat healthy food, food that has not been modified by harmful hormones or genetics. Several of the food production companies give jobs to illegal immigrants and once their services are no longer needed, then the heads of these companies call immigration to have them arrested and deported back to their home country. This in turn saves the company money because they do not have to pay out anything for unemployment wages for laying the employees off for a period of time. The food industry has really become the bourgeoisie of this century. Proletariat: Page 10: Marx s term for the exploited class, the mass of workers who do not have the means of production. In this case, this class of workers is the farmers and the people who work in the food production plant. This is a common misconception whereas an increase in the manpower of an economy will increase the unemployment rate. However, due to large numbers of migrations that have occurred recently, real world experiments can be observed to understand the impacts. What has been learned from these events is that a reactive economy can handle fluctuations in the size of the workforce satisfactorily. The Mariel boatlift is a good real world example of a large migration from Cuba to Miami had little impact on employment and wages in Miami. The economic explanation for this illogical occurrence is due the ability the Miami economy was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lowering the retirement age may be a good way for those to exit the labor force opening up more jobs and reducing unemployment. However, it will have the opposite impact, due to the ratio of working age population to the retirees. This puts more cost of retirements on the GDP, increasing the taxes levied to pay for items like social security. In turn, this increase in the costs of labor will have the opposite effect and would have negative impacts to employment. In France another method to increase more people in a job was the 35 hour work week law. Studies in Germany and France have shown that reducing the work week has little impact on employment though. People in Germany did work less, but additional position creation did not happen. In France those who were impacted by the reduction actually were more likely to lose their job and had no positive impact in the level of employment. The reason shortening the work week does not increase the level of employment is the same as migration. There are not a fixed number of jobs or hours to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I put the symbol of Brahman on the bottom of the mandala to show that it controls and connects to the other four beliefs. Next, the belief of multiple gods will be placed on the right side of Brahman because he is one of the many gods that the Hindus believe in. On the other side of Brahman will be Dharma because they both have to do with balancing society and the universe. On top of Dharma will be Karma. I will put it in this position because Dharma affects your Karma. If you follow rules then your Karma will be good, and if you don t follow the rules then your Karma won t be as good. Lastly, Samsara will be placed next to Karma and Dharma. Samsara would be placed next to these beliefs because your Karma is what you will receive or be like in your next life. Dharma connects to Samsara because the release called Moksha will be achieved if you follow certain spiritual and ritual practices to have a good relation and personal experience with Gods. There are many other ways that all these beliefs connect to each other, but the ways I just talked about relate to the illustrations I have drawn on the mandala. Is this perception of you the same or different from who you think you are or who you want to be? Do you know who you are, and if you do, when did you take the path of self discovery? The journey of self discovery is a journey that most people take at some point during their life, whether it is very early in life or rather late in life. In the novels, Billy Lynn s Long Halftime Walk by Ben Fountain, Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, and The Great Gatsby by F. The life you live is what shapes who you are and is what leads you on your path towards self discovery. This may seem obvious, that self discovery is a journey that happens during one s lifetime, but some people are not as fortunate to live such a fulfilled life that they are able to partake in such a journey. There are people that would argue that to simply have a life does not mean that one is actually living. With that being said, it is privilege to not only live a life, but to also discover one s own identity because some people who live do not get that far either. In these three novels the three protagonists, Billy Lynn, Jay Gatsby, and Invisible Man, have all lived lives that have led them on their path to self discovery. Billy s own journey was one mainly focused on battling with his own inner self. Inner peace you need to know who you are, what you want out of life. • 31. Three Types of Costs When Quality Considerations Memo to my supervisor Jane Doyle Hi Jane I would like to bring to your attention three types of costs when quality considerations are made here at Acme Catsup Company. The first costs would be our failure costs. The second would be our appraisal costs. The third is the cost of prevention. With failure costs some of the costs would be equipment break downs and spills. Our equipment costs 3 million dollars so we don t want to replace it for at least 10 years. The routine maintenance for the equipment is $500,000 a year. The cost for the spills is a total of $120,000 a year. That includes $50,000 for the training classes on spill prevention and $70,000 for the salary of two new spill prevention workers. Some costs of appraisal would be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With the spills we would have to hold extra training classes to train the existing workers to stop the machines before the spills happen. We would also have to hire two new workers to clean the spills as soon as they happen. The training would cost $50,000 and prevent 80% of the spills. The two new workers would cost $35,000 each per year for a total of $70,000. That $120,000 would be well spent because we are spending $500,000 now on spills and breakdowns. The tradeoff associated with appraisal costs would also be profitable to Acme Catsup Company. Right now we are losing 3 million a year because of returns and defective products. The new data collecting system and third party audits would reduce returns and defects by 90%. This would save us $280,000. The cost for this data collection and third party audits would only be $70,000 a year. This is a small price to pay considering the amount of money we will save. The cost of prevention is well worth the tradeoff. Mistake proofing, scheduled maintenance and Six Sigma will cost out company approximately 2 million a year. We will see the benefits of mistake proofing and scheduled maintenance after the first few months. These two things alone will save the company 5 million a year. Six Sigma will take a little longer to see the results of because of the lengthy process to implement it. After the second year we will see huge ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
