1. Maslow’s
Hierarchy Of
Needs.
There are 5 different stages that
Maslow believed that a person will
have to reach in their lifetime in
order to feel happy and motivated
as well as being content with life.
2.
3. Physiological
This includes things such as food, water,
warmth and rest.
They are seen as the most basic needs of an
individual and every person has to reach this
stage in order to survive.
This being stage one means that if someone
does not meet these needs first they will not
be able to reach any of the others which are
higher on the hierarchy.
4. Safety
This stage includes things such as security
and safety.
They are also pointed out on Maslow's
Hierarchy to be a set of the most basic needs
a person needs to reach in order to expand.
People have to make sure they are safe in
order to survive.
5. Love and Belongingness
The third stage includes things such as
intimate relationships and friends.
This is a stage in which a person will need in
order to be happy and content.
This is not a factor which depends on whether
a person is going to survive but it is important
that a person has a contrast of relationships
throughout their lifetime.
6. Esteem Needs
The esteem needs include things such as prestige
and the feeling of achievement.
In order for a person to be happy they will have to
feel as if they are achieving or developing in a
positive way to notice change in themselves.
Compliments and positive feedback of a person
can make them feel good about themselves and
allow them to pass on their esteem to others in
their surroundings.
7. Self – Actualisation
The Self Actualisation stage includes things
such as achieving ones full potential, as well
as creative ideas.
This means, a person will find themselves and
they will achieve their full potential.
When a person reaches their full potential
they will feel as if they are at their happiest
stage and they have reached the top of the
Hierarchy.
