On National Teacher Day, meet the 2024-25 Kenan Fellows
Filming Day
1.
2. We knew it was going to be difficult to learn
our script lines without having to look at them
when recording. We came up with a solution
to this problem by using a laptop and pasting
our scripts onto this which presents our
scripts in front of the camera without having
to look down at paper if we forgot what we
were saying.
3. As a group we made a plan that our Filming
Day was going to have to be split into 2 days
to make sure that we have the best chance
to get accurate footage.
Day 1- We focused on recording the Hard
and Soft News.
Day 2- We finished off by recording the
Weather and any other footage we needed.
4. We made sure that our Studio was set up with the house style
colours that we needed for our Programme that matched the
News Logo.
We also changed our chairs to a Sofa from the school to make
sure that the Mis-en-scene of the Programme matched to our
target audience.
Lighting was also something which we had to make sure was high
key and that every part of the studio can be seen clearly through
the camera.
For our costume we made sure that both Presenters me and
Patricia were wearing something smart/ casual due to this being
what we planned to wear before the filming day.
5. We made sure that not only was we
recording our reports on the camera
but we also had a voice recorder on
the chair hidden from the camera
which was picking up our voices and
we were then able to sync this to our
videos when it came to the editing
stage.
