  3. All training should result in improved business outcomes, right? Here are a few of the more common outcomes that businesses are looking for.

If you have many prioritized learning needs, and need to target just a few for your new manager training, your decision may be influenced by your ability to link the training outcomes to positive impact on business drivers. But how will you know you have made an impact? What metrics might you look at in your organization? And where would you collect much of this data from?
  5. Here are some examples of metrics you may consider for your organization. First, sales figures.
  6. If you use an instrument during the needs analysis to help identify manager needs, this same instrument often can be used as a measurement tool after training. During the upcoming program, we will consider what business drivers your managerial training might affect and where you can collect data on the potential positive results of the training.
