Social Media as an Organizational Ally: Effective Conflict Resolution Strategies

Facebook employees use social media tools to both share and resolve grievances and
create/maintain a culture of candor. Specifically, by equipping employees with skills to

resolve issues over social media—effectively and on their own. Joseph Grenny, co-author
of the New York Times bestseller Crucial Conversations and co-founder of VitalSmarts,
will draw from his three decades of research and new study on the social media habits
of 2,700 people to share the skills Facebook used to effectively hold emotionally charged
conversations online—allowing employees to solve problems and strengthen relationships
in ways that weren’t possible before.

how to actively apply crucial conversation strategies via social media to improve your

Coaching With the Brain in Mind
