2. WHAT TO INCLUDE: ‘GET THIS LOOK ‘
• In my magazine I am thinking about including a get this look section on
my double page spread. Although I am not doing a fashion magazine, I
am thinking about how I could use the features they have and
incorporate it into an interior design magazine. I think that including
this kind of feature in my magazine will work well because it’ll make the
magazine look more interesting and useful because the reader will then
be able to know where the item is available from meaning they can use
the magazine and actually purchase items that are featured without
having to look all over for them.
• As I’m doing a university edition, I think
that including this will be very appealing
to my target audience as most students
will be moving out and be needing to get
things in for their new flat. Along with
this, the prices in my magazine are going
to reflect the actual prices in the stores
therefore I am going to make sure that
they are all affordable.

3. INTRODUCTION
• In my introduction I will include a quick brief about the magazine and the
article that I will be talking about. As its an interior design magazine, I
will have to provide information about décor and what colours suit
which rooms so that it is informative. Along with this, in the
introduction I am going to have to use devices to make the magazine
regional, such as using local ‘slang’ and terms that are related to
Sunderland/ The north east.

4. INSPIRATION
This article Is about
designing the house for
Christmas and I think that I
could take inspiration from
this article as I am talking
about designing your room
for a new flat therefore
they relate.
The way in which the
article is written makes it
come across as very
formal and informative and
it includes the reader along
the way to keep them
interested.
In the article the author writes
about how to use space
efficiently and how to decorate
that space therefore I am going
to have to do some research into
interior design and ask people
who I know like that thing to see
what makes a design suitable
and what to include in my article.
The length of this
article isnt very long
and this is the size that
I am thinking about as
I am also wanting to
add in a ‘get this look’
as I think that it will
make the magazine
look more interesting
and be more useful for
students over reading
a massive paragraph
about how to design a
room that has no
previous décor in.
