Separation of Lanthanides/ Lanthanides and Actinides
Presentation2
1. Starting point I am going to alter my newspaper page on the same file so this is the last time this will ever be seen but i will record what I did on each slide.
2. Headline title I was meant to change how the QR scanning code was laid out so that the headline title would look better presented, however as much as I tried, I still couldn’t get it to work. So in the end I made the QR code smaller as I thought it didn’t look nice anyway.
3. Days out article and Johnny Depp article I changed the titles of both of the articles and the photos to what my focus group suggested. The photos are much more educational, intelligent and intelectual.
4. Pension article I quickly had to add in the ‘2 Norfolk Professionals have their say”, which makes the reader feel as if they are going to read something from people who are much like them, therefore think that the article has personal relevance to them, interesting and relatable. The article would be on page 6 so I do not have to write it.
5. Debate further in the paper I just had to write next to the part which states the article carries onto the next page that a debate is also on the next page. This debate I will have to write when I come to start making my second page. I will probably present the debate as bullet points so that my educated audience have their opinion and it is simple to read.
6. Adding a price bar code I just had to add a price bar code which I completely forgot about. I decided to place it on the bottom right hand corner of the page so that it is easy to access when it comes to purchasing my newspaper and is easy to find even though it isn't very aesthetically pleasing. I have kept in mind that I am going to have to put another box of text near it, but I have enough room for it.
7. Competition I was advised from the individual from my focus group that I have extra space on the bottom of my newspaper page to have a advertisement for a competition. I have said throughout that I do not want adverts, but I am not classing this as one. I had to move the pension article, which took time as it has different sections. I also had to make the writing smaller so everything could fit in. the top print screen shows what I firstly did, but I thought the boxes didn’t work. So I then decided that I am going to have the titles in one big box, and because the competition title is in capitals, it has separated itself from the other title. My target audience is educated, therefore would be smart enough to figure out that they are not the same title.
8. Changing the price I have changed it from £1.10 to £1. I decided not to put the 2 noughts on the end as I felt this was unnecessarily formal and is pointless. This was probably the most simple thing I have to do in this re-drafting process.
9. Changing the page size. I was a bit concerned about doing this because it could change the layout of my page. A4 size is 21.5 cm by 29.7cm. I tried to change it, but it didn’t alter the size of everything I put onto so I had to keep it to the original size and I will just print it out of A4.
10. Finished page I have finished my newspaper page with the information and advice I was given from my focus group. For the second page of my newspaper I will go by the general look of this newspaper page.
