ProSIM has assisted in the design and seismic evaluation/ analysis of systems, structures and components (SSCs) of nuclear power plants (NPP). Driven by its competence and focus on quality and project management processes, ProSIM has delivered value to its customers. ProSIM has interacted with regulatory bodies and code committees related to nuclear design codes. Methodologies for seismic analysis of mechanical equipment (rotary and static), electrical engineering, instrumentation and control, and structures have been developed by ProSIM using ASME boiler and pressure vessel (B&PV), RCC, IEEE, ASCE and similar codes. Several hundreds of reports of seismic analysis/ evaluation submitted by ProSIM have been approved by the operators or regulatory bodies. ProSIM has taken up several detailed engineering projects. Worked on design optimisation of structures/ equipment, pipelines, supports etc. ProSIM has also supported seismic qualification of equipment/ systems by physical testing by coordinating with agencies.

Certification from NPCIL, Reddy is one of righly regarded seismic expert at NPCIL. L&T-ECC is the largest EPC contractor in India. We are working with them for the ITER project coming up in Cadarache, France.
We have inbuilt macros for pressure drop calculations.
One of the recently completed work. This is a sodium test facility for eqpts for the FBR. Concrete structure with RCC beams & columns (turquoise blue), on top is a steel superstructure. Designed from basic information provided by end user. A 300-ton tank is mounted at an elevation of 24m above ground level. This makes the structure to be non-uniformly loaded, challenge was to design the bracings & individual steel members. We will shortly be starting the detailed 3D qualification work on piping, test vessels & equipments.
LBB studies carried out on a 500NB pipe elbow using Zencrack code – product of Zentec UK. The SML at RDG-IGCAR have conducted the actual test ..results are correlating to the tune of 95%. They are impressed by the code & have initiated the process of buying a license from us.
The DG provides backup power for running the coolant pumps in the event of an earthquake (especially in SSE conditions). Very critical equipment. FE modeling was a huge challenge, since the sustained loads do not fall under any category specified by the ASME, the eqpt is qualified as per manufacturers standard..
