2. Before we begin… RSS is about one thing: Information Management If you understand and use RSS feeds, you will be able to manage (consume, and publish) a great deal of information. RSS=Information Literacy!

25. Clicking on this image brings up the feed. Do not be frightened by what you are about to see…

27. This is the feed address. Highlight and copy it. The rest of this gobbledygook is the XML code. Look away! Do not concern yourself with it (unless your inner geek calls to you)

28. 3. You now need a “feed reader” to subscribe to and view the feed. For the forthcoming example we’re going to use Bloglines to illustrate how to subscribe to an RSS feed.

29. Go to www.bloglines.com and create your free account.

30. After Creating your free Bloglines account, Click on the “Add” link.

31. Then subscribe to the RSS feed by pasting in the feed link and clicking on the subscribe button.

32. 4. You will then see updated headlines to your subscribed feeds in your feed reader.
