How PR can profit from RSS (March 2007)David Strom
This is a speech I gave at the New Communications Forum in Vegas in March 2007 about ways that PR professionals can take advantage of RSS tools to help publicize and keep track of various clients
RSS is a new way of delivering and consuming information. Librarians and Libraries should exploit this technology to effectively promote the content they produce; help their users to select appropriate feeds; Re-Publish selective RSS feeds to cater special target groups
and use this technology to keep themselves up-to-date in this era of Information Explosion.
How to RSS Feed in Search Engine Optimization and their Benefits.karthikzinavo
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" (or) “Rich Site Summary”. It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes content to a wide number of people. It used to organize those headlines and notices for easy reading.
Its used to keep track of their favorite websites.

Find out what the Westerville Public Library was up to in 2015, from our Meet the Authors series to Night at the Library to our very first Little Free Library.
The first pioneers came to Westerville using an Indian trail that became 161. More than 150 years passed before the completion of I-270 at Westerville Road. Vehicles changed from horse and oxen-drawn wagons to cars, trucks and motorcycles fueled by gas, diesel and electricity. The arrival of the train and trolley were greeted with great excitement by Westerville citizens but both disappeared as new forms of transportation became popular.
If those pioneers who came here 200 years ago could visit today, we can only imagine their shock at the changes in transportation: forests have become roads; bridges span the local creeks; airplanes occupy the sky with the birds; and cars travel busy highways at 70 miles per hour arriving quickly at their destinations.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

13. Internet Browsers Pro: For those of you who love bookmarks and browser add-ons, this way of viewing RSS feeds is for you. Cons: These are only viewable on the browser where you have set them up, so they are not “mobile” unless they were set up on a laptop or mobile device. These are less visual.
16. Email Options Pro: If you love the way email works, you will appreciate these options. These readers allow you to “delete” feeds once you have viewed them, whereas most other readers simply mark them as read and leave them as viewable until new content arrives. Con: These readers are less visual.
19. Not Ready to Commit? Luckily, most RSS feeds can be viewed like any other webpage. Internet browsers have the capability of viewing all of the feed content without actually using an RSS reader. In this way, you don’t have commit to a reader if you aren’t quite ready to make the jump. Keep in mind that you don’t have to subscribe to every feed you encounter. Only add those feeds that you are interested in viewing on a regular basis.
21. How to Find Feeds Look for the RSS symbol on your favorite websites and/or blogs. Consult RSS Feed directories such as Syndic8 and Technorati. Check your RSS feed reader. Some readers (such as MyYahoo!) offer suggestions in different categories. Ask your friends!

You no longer have to seek out new information from your favorite sites. You can keep up-to-date on what is most important to you.
26. What about Creating Feeds? RSS feeds are becoming easier and easier to create, and are being used for a variety of applications. You may already be creating a feed if you use services such as Facebook, Blogger, Etsy, or Twitter. Simply look for instructions on how to find your feed while logged in to these services. If you’re interested in creating feeds “from scratch” for your business, try employing the help of some tech savvy friends or colleagues, or check out the resources provided at the end of this presentation.
