Hats for Haiti
TERM DATES
Friday was our Hats for Haiti day, which had been requested by the School Council as their
Spring Term answer to raising money to support the people of Haiti. We are proud and delighted to say
it was a superbly successful fundraiser with the children, parents and staff giving very

Shinewaves Competition
Children in the Spotlight
Last week’s competition was to design a mascot for Merseyside Police. The winning
mascot ‘Larry the Law Keeping Lemur’ was designed by Alex Day (2W). Congratulations
Alex! All entries will be forwarded to enter the Merseyside area competition.
We are having technical difficulties with the radio station, so competitions will be posted
outside the hall, in the newsletter and on the school website, for now.
This week’s competition...
Lewis Carroll was born on 27 January 1832 so this week’s competition is based on his
work. Lewis Carroll was an English author, mathematician, logician, Anglican deacon
