Last week’s competition was to write a poem called ‘Summertime’. There were Pop your entry in the competition post box, outside the hall, with your
some great poems, many presented beautifully: Miss McCarthy helped me pick a name and class on the back by the morning of Tues 30th June. Good luck!
KS1 & KS2 winner.
First of all special mentions must go to Jordan Monahan from RD, Errin Telford
and Ruby Fellows, both from 4CP for really well thought out poems. The KS1
winner, from RP, is Nancy Whiteside, and the KS2 winner, from 3R is Libby Spencer.
Congratulations Nancy and Libby! I lie on a sunbed I jump back in the water
As we are having sports day this week the competition is to write a chant, song or Then jump in the pool
rhyme which will encourage your team. It could be based on a rhyme you know like And make a huge splash
‘Rain, rain go away’ or ‘One potato, two potato’. See what you can do! I have a little swim Everyone gets wet
And really feel cool I swim off in a flash

I like going And go down the slide At the end of the day
Because we get jewels and big stones from the shop I land at the bottom So much has happened
I like going up to the sea My smile is really wide I’ve got lots to say
Climbing up big rocks and dipping my toes in the water
I like the disco part I like winning prizes I go to the shop It’s time for bed
I like trying to swim in a little pool And buy ice cream But I cannot sleep
But I will never ever have a swim in the sea It tastes so delicious My summer is exciting
My summer holidays I like everything I think I’m in a dream Memories to keep

our most recent OFSTED reports.
