A’ Team Football Match Report
Norwood 2 Linaker 1
With Linaker taking the lead in the first third, Norwood showed great character coming back with a goal from
Lewis Lankshear and a Linaker own goal to record their first win of the season. Well done
Norwood! An excellent performance from the whole team.
Team: Jake Rigby, Jack Rimmer, Jack Ashworth, George Griffiths, Lewis Lankshear,
Jack Spencer, Charlie Gray, Daniel Edwards, Simon Gradwell, Matthew Howard,
Kallum Graham, Joshua Young.
Man of the Match: George Griffiths
B Team Football Match Report
Norwood B 3 Linaker B 3
An exciting and enjoyable game, which was played very sportingly by both teams, saw 6 goals, lots of action and
a thrilling climax. Goals by Sam Travis and Ben Hirons gave us a 2-0 lead before Linaker fought back with 3
goals. Ryan Ashall fired a powerful shot to equalise for us before the exciting finale, when Conor Baggaley saved
a last minute penalty. Phew – what a game!
Team: David Gomersall, Conor Baggaley, Tom Leddy, Matty Aitkenhead, Josh Knight, Josh Wright, Reece Ashall,
Ryan Ashall, Ben Hirons (Capt), Sam Travis, George Jones, Daniel Sherriff, Lewis Rodwell and Reece May.

Man of the match: Ben Hirons
