Maria Alice Brandão D'Allomo began her career teaching English at Yazigi School of Languages in 1977, where she worked for eleven years. She then began teaching English at a public school in Buenos Aires. Over time, teaching English became boring and difficult to keep students interested and motivated. However, after attending an English course in 2013, Maria incorporated new technologies like the internet, games, videos, and songs into her classes, making them more dynamic and engaging for students. She realized it was time for a new approach to teaching English using technology to make it fun and meaningful for students.

2. After finishing university I soon started my career as a teacher of English at Yazigi
School of Languages in 1977.

3. How did I feel about it?
Oh! It was an amazing experience, I`ve worked there for eleven years till 1986.

4. At that time, students were really interested, very motivated, but we didn’t have the
technology that is available today.

5. Things changed and I began to teach English in a public school, Buenos Aires, where
I`ve been till now.

6. As time passes, the English teaching turned out to be so boring, it was difficult to keep
the students interest and also motivate them. So in the middle of this disaster,
something good happened.

7. A course? Oh! Yes, an English course to improve myself and move on. So after August
10th, 2013, and after attending the meetings, things have changed.

8. With the use of new technologies like the internet games, sites, songs, Youtube
videos, the classes turned out to be more dynamic.
Students became more flexible towards the language. Meaningful for them.

9. It`s time to begin a new way of teaching, making use of new technologies, making
students think about the language and ate the same time show them that English is to
be fun, not boring, as it has been up to now.
Through games, songs, role-playing, it is possible to have a better class an attractive
one.
