2. Cover
I have used a very set and
stereotypical colour scheme of
reds and dark greys. I also
added some white and yellow
to attract attention to things
that would make the reader buy
the magazine. It also makes the
magazine look less boring as it
breaks up the colour and adds
some originality which is
important to the
reformer/explorer social groups.
The broken font conveys the
stereotype of the rebellious
attitude rock listeners seem to
have.
3. The picture of the band not in a
studio or at a gig shows the
bands closeness and makes the
reader feel like they are friends
with them and can relate to
them.
The simple, informal language
also makes the readers feel like
they are more included in the
magazine making them more
interested and more likely to
subscribe.
4. The dark background
fits in with the ‘dark’
stereotype of the music
genre. The use of a
single image of me
makes it easier for the
audience as they don’t
get confused by many
images and can focus
on the text. The text is
also broken up with
colours and into short
paragraphs making it
more appealing to the
audience as it isn’t
overwhelming.
