3. MAIN OBJECTIVES
• I will be teaching the 20 students about Lemony
Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, the first
three books (A Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room,
and The Wide Window). Students will be able to do
all the following: Identify all 5 literary elements,
conduct independent research at a basic level,
and showcase their research in a group manner.
They will write summaries, watch videos about the
books, write a blog and respond to classmates
blog, make a Facebook page for one of the main
characters, and create a YouTube video with their
project, and make a podcast as a character.
Students will complete all this within 5 days with 75-
85% accuracy.
