2.  Immediate
Media Company was set up in
2011 and was set up by merging the former
assets of Origin Publishing, Magicalia and BBC
Magazines.
 Top of the Pops magazines are distributed by
Immediate Media Company.
 The reason that Immediate Media Company
could possibly distribute my product is
because Top of the Pops who is based on the
same genre as my magazine uses them for
distrubuting.

3.  EMAP
International Limited are a British
media company which was founded in 1947.
 Smash Hits which is an old pop magazine was
distributed by EMAP International Limited.
 EMAP International Limited could distribute
my product as they have previously
distributed pop magazines however Smash
Hits magazine ended a long time ago and it
may be better to have my magazine
distributed by a company that distribute pop
magazines at the moment so that they are
more up to date with the pop genre.

4.  BBC
magazines is the publishing division of
BBC Worldwide.
 BBC have distributed several pop magazines
such as ‘It’s Hot’ and ‘Top of the Pops’. They
also distribute television magazines too.
 I could choose BBC Magazines to distribute
my product because they distribute so many
magazines for different aspects of media
such as radio, music and television for all
different ages. They have a lot of experience
and distribute one of the main pop
magazines that exists.

5.  Bauer
Media Group has a division of being a
global publisher that started in Germany.
 Bauer Media Group distributes for Q
Magazine.
 Bauer Media Group could distribute my
product because it is a global publisher for
16 countries. It would allow my music
magazine to get recognition. However, Q
magazine is a hybrid genre of pop, indie and
rock which means that Q aren’t as
experienced in focusing on just pop
magazines.

6.  NME
(New Musical Express) is a weekly
pop/rock music magazine publisher.
 NME could distribute my product because
they are a well known distributer which
would create recognition for my magazine.
Although, NME publishing have their own
magazine which is called NME so they may
not want to start any other magazines and
they are also for a hybrid genre which may
not appeal to their rock target audience
making them lose demand for their NME
magazine.

7. Overall, I think that the company that could
distribute my magazine is Immediate Media
Company. This is because they distribute one
of the best pop magazines and would get my
product lots of recognition. However, my
second choice would be Bauer Media Group
as they are global to 16 countries which
would allow many readers to access my
magazine but the magazine that they publish
is a hybrid genre which puts me off and
would make me prefer to allow Immediate
Media Company to distribute my product.
