2. Fade in.
Ext. street. Night
The street is dark with selective light coming from street
lights. There is a shadow behind her from the light.
Anna is startled as her phone rings while she is walking home.
She is looking at her screen with a puzzled look and answers
the phone.
Anna
(cautiously) Hello?
The phone responds with a fizzing noise and keeps cutting out.
Confused, Anna looks at her phone.
Anna
Who’s this?
The phone continues to fuzz. Anna is annoyed and hangs up. She
carries on walking home. The phone rings again.
Anna
(annoyed tone) who is this?
The fizzing noise she hears again. Anna is looking at her
phone angrily and ends the call.
Anna
(angrily) oh for goodness sake.
Her phone rings again. She answers the phone straight away,
she is interrupted.

3. Anna
(shouting) Leave me
Phone call (off camera)
(distorted) Look behind you
The phone call ends. Anna is confused, looks behind her and
glances around. There is nothing to be seen. She rolls her
eyes and then looks down and sees her shadow. She stares at
it, doing a double take. She continues to walk home. The
shadow does not move.
Cut to
Int. house. Night
Anna is walking into her house and closes the door behind her.
She turns on the light and walks up the stairs.
Anna
Hello?
There is nobody home. She doesn’t hear anything and walks into
the kitchen. There is a note left on the board from her
parents saying they are going to be late from work.
Anna
(dismissive) hmm ok. I don’t like you
anyway.
She puts the note down on the side and goes up to her bedroom.
She turns off the light and starts walking up the stairs. The
light turns back on again.
Anna looks over the banister of the stairs and sees the light
is on. She mutters to herself and goes to turn the light back
off.

4. Anna
(confused) I swear I turned that light
off.
She walks back up the stairs again. The light on the stairs
begin to flicker. There is a shadow next to her repeatedly
flashing also. There is a message in front of her saying ‘look
behind you’. She turns to see it and looks behind her. The
shadow makes her jump. She runs up the rest of the stairs and
into her bedroom.
Cut to
Int. bedroom. Night
Anna is climbing into her bed and lies down looking up to the
ceiling.
Anna
(shaky) stupid parents need to get the
electricity sorted out.
She looks around herself warily.
Anna
(reassuringly) I’m going crazy
She is falling asleep as the shadow appears and slowly rises
above her, consuming her in darkness. She screams but there is
no sound coming out.
Anna
(screams)
