Hannah a 22 year old, girl wearing a fur lined jacket with
a party horn in her mouth is leaning against a lamppost
she glances into the bushes.
there does not seem to be anything there
Hannah’s eyes look dizzy
A noise can be heard, some rustling
Hannah giggles
stumbling out of the bushes is Eli a tall lad the next
door kind. He is wearing a ’studenty’ shirt and a party
hat.
HANNAH
That was quick
ELI
was it?
that wasn’t quick
HANNAH
it was really quick
ELI

Hannah touches her hair and swirls it around her finger.
She walks down the road.
HANNAH
I’m just saying is all
Eli looks at her, noticing her bum.
ELI
(mutters to himself)

He takes a moment. Then races to catch up

HANNAH

hand on her shoulder, like a counsellor would.
They both continue to stand there
Its a moment, Hannah moves toward Eli
They are looking into each other’s eyes

They both start to talk at the same time
HANNAH

They both stop and motion for the other to continue

they both wait for the other to start again, eventually
after a second too long
HANNAH
I was gonna ask if you wanted to
walk me home
ELI

EXT.STREET CORNER.NIGHT
They start walking down the road. Not really talking now.
Eli thinks he isn’t making the best impression, and he is
trying to make loads of conversation, he keeps starting
but can’t get the words out, so as they are walking down
the road he tries to lighten the mood by cracking a joke
ELI
it’s been really nice seeing you
again
HANNAH
yeah its been quite a while
ELI
do you still have that box?
HANNAH
*blushes* yeah (laughs)
yeah it’s under my bed
Hannah puts her arm through Elis. She Looks at him trying
to catch a glance. She notices his mouth then his eyes,
his shoulder rubbing against hers.
He turns to her to catch a glance but by the time she has
she looks away. He looks at her profile and she then looks
back toward her.
Eli pulls her closer
she notices and tightens her hold
they both look ahead and smile
EXT.STREET.NIGHT
They continue to walk.
Hannah see’s something lying in the middle of the
pavement.
HANNAH
what’s that?
Oh Christ, its a dead...something
ELI

Eli inspects the animal more closely
i think its been dead for some
time

HANNAH

ELI
i think its dead
hannah kneels to have a look
HANNAH
its definitely dead
ELI
i feel so sorry for it
Eli picks up the dead animal and throws it in the bushes.
He turns and looks at Hannah. Hannah looks at Eli
HANNAH
wow
Eli grabs Hannah and snogs her. there’s no struggle and
noises can be heard. Eli pulls away
ELI
Im so sorry..I don’t know, I
mean. Sorry
Hannah looks at Eli seriously
She launches forward grabs him by the cheek and kisses
him. Eli is taken aback. Hannah pull away and can see
Eli’s surprised expression.
Hannah carries on walking
EXT. OUTSIDE HER HOUSE
they arrive at her door, the lights are off, it is evident
there no one home.
HANNAH
I don’t know if your interested,
but you can come in and see if
you want.
Eli panics, he’s lost for words.

ELI
