SCENE 1
FADE IN: EXT. STREET. DAY
The clear blue sky covering the houses as we move from
admiring the clear sky to looking at the houses and the cars
on the street below. We are then revealed to a quiet street
with a single girl walking alone quietly with the sound of
silence screaming through the air. Tracking the young girl
until she reaches a front door of house on the corner of the
street.
INT. HOUSE. DAY
We are facing the door as the young girl enters the house. We
then follow Vanessae as she walks to the kitchen steadily
after shutting the front door.
Vannesse
(Saying with
excitement)
MOM! MOM! MOM!
Still walking towards the kitchen to meet her mother
VANNESSE
I got my results today, and I have
a goo feeling about this one.
Mom is washing up, then turning around and looks at her with
questionable eyes, turning back round and carries on focusing
on the washing up.
Mom
(sighs)
I see, what subjects do you fail in?

Vannesse walking calmly ignoring the comment,to the fridge,
opening it open and talking some food out. Walking over to the
dishes mom has just washed, she takes a plate and starts to
make a sandwich. Vannesse begins to talk.
VANNESSE
Well…
(Sigh)
I think I have done good in
physiology, Music as well but I don't
think I have passed Drama. I find it
just hard to know what to do at the
right time and the people I work
with…I don't want to even start about
them.
Vannesse rolls her eyes and continues to make her sandwich.
Mom then stops washing up and dry’s her hands. Then looking at
Vannesse in a soft and comforting voice.
Mom
Just do your best, your a smart
girl. I know its been hard in your
last year but this is the most
important year right now so just
make the most of it. Proud of you
either way…..
(Says with laughter)
Just don’t mess up
The room goes silent

4. 3.
Breaking the silent Vannesse looks at her mom and
VANNESSE
(Soft innocent voice)
Im going upstairs, love you
Vannesse walks out and goes up stairs
The camera follows her from behind
Vannesse reaches her room and shuts the door. We are left
outside with door in our faces. It the starts to fade to
a black screen (slowly)
A voice over of a male voice is resting a quote when the
screen is fully back.
Scene 2
INT. House. Night
A circle from outside into the dining room round the
table to behind the head to the table.The family are
sitting around the table holding hand praying over their
food. The re is no sound, the room is silent but we can
see someone is speaking but then their voices start to
fade in slowly
The family finish the prayer and starts digging in food.
Their voices are still fading until all the voices are
heard clearly and equally.The room then goes quiet when
everyone plates are full.
The Dad breaks the silence…
DAD
(In a calm and caring
voice)
So Vannesse who was your day?

5. 3.
Vannesse is quiet for a moment and then looks at her Dad
with a smile
VANNESSE
It was good to be honest… Had my results today!
(Pause)
But apart from that, it was ok.
How about you.. Dad?
Dad puts food in mis mouth, waits a dew seconds and then
responds.
DAD
My day was fine sweetie, busy like
usual
(With laughter)
but what else can I expect in a
bank?
VANNESSE
(with a smile)
Good Good
Vannesse starts yarding
Mom looks at her in disgust and then carries on eating
Vannesse sees the look and picks up her plate and drink
VANNESSE
May I be excused, I need to sort
somethings up stairs.. and I
tired, Good night Dad,SJ… Mom

6. 3.
Vannesse walks out of the rom and heads up stairs with no
words escaping her mouth. None coming from her families
mouth either.
We hear laughter form down stairs as the screen switches
from down stairs to upstairs.
INT.BEDROOM.DAY
We are then in Vannesse’s room, as the is fixing her bed,
she has already to go to bed, she calmly climbs into it.
She lies down without a word or sudden movement. Her eyes
close as son as her head touches the pillow.A which
screen with the time ‘0730am’ in the middle of the screen
with an shuttle alarm sound in the back ground.
Scene 3
INT. BEDROOM.DAY
Vannesse wakes up in a flood of light in her bed as the
morning screams her name through the outside of her
window. She stretches and get out of bed. She then starts
to get ready. WE ARE THEN SHOWN QUCIK AND SHARP SHOTS OF
TIME PERIOS WHERE SHE IS GETTING READY IN THE MORNING.
INT.BATHROOM.DAY
Vannesse is brushing her teeth
She is in the mirror doing her hair
INT.BEDROOM.DAY
Picking out clothes
INT.STAIRS.DAY
We are then swooped to the top of the stairs as we see
her walking down the stairs heading for the kitchen as
she does every day. She is in the kitchen and starts to
make breakfast. As she calmly pours the milk into the
bowl, mom walks down stairs.

7. 3.
INT.KITCHEN.DAY
VANNESSE
Morning Mom, how are you?
Mom says nothing and carries on walking to the fridge as
she is about to make breakfast
Vannesse is confused, but carries on making her breakfast
by picking up the kettle and pours the water in a cup.
VANNESSE
Would you be able to drop me to
school please mom? I have to be
there early for some revision
session.
Mom carries on with no words exchanged. Dad walks down
stairs with SJ. Mom
DAD
Morning babe
MOM
Morning, how was your sleep?
DAD
(In a deep voice)
It was good thank you, well I was
sleeping next to you so I can’t
complain
MOM
(With a little
laughter in her
voice)
Oh stop it, not with SJ around!
Dad then looks at SJ with a big smile on his face
DAD
How are you champ?

8. 3.
SJ
(With tiredness in
his voice)
I’m ok dad thanks just still
tired!
Where is Vannesse?
Vannesse looks at her brother, still looking confused she
answers her brother’s question.
VANNESSE
I’m here.
Mom cuts Vannesse off with a calm voice
MOM
She is still upstairs in bed, she
must be tired from yesterday will
all the Exams she has had this
week.
Vannesse is now confused, looking at her family she
doesn’t understand what is happening
VANNESSE
I’m here, I have been here down
stairs since.
Vannesse is cut off again by dad and to her surprise she
doesn’t realise that she is going to become more
confused, more confused than she has ever been before.
DAD
There you are Vannesse, how was
your night?
Vannesse turns around to see a girl walking into the
kitchen, looking surprised and confused she has no words
to speak or no movements to move.

9. 3.
VANNESSE
Wait, what are you doing here? And
why is my family calling you me?
Omelia?
The new girl walks in and with a straight face she looks
at her dad and says no words but looks at SJ and mom
OMELIA
Morning mom and SJ.
SJ AND MOM TOGETHER
Morning!
Vannesse is confused and is frozen in her tracks,
releasing that she recognises the girl she steps back and
tries to get her family’s attention by waving her hands
in their faces and trying to touch them. Unable to
communicate, tears start to gather in her eyes and then
suddenly the screen fades to white. Fading in, the sound
of TV loosing signal, we see nothing but a white screen.
Scene 4
EXT.OUTSIDE(FIELD).DAY
Sharply and quickly we are brought to a memory of
Vannesse. A girl is walking suddenly, another girl then
runs up from behind her and pushes her over. Looking back
she laughs. We are then shown the same two girls sitting
next to each other. The bully is then physically and
emotionally abusing her.
We then are about to see another scene but then we are
sharply brought back to reality.
Scene 5
INT.OUSIDE.DAY
We are now tracking on the street as Omelia is walking
alone.Vannesse starts to run up to her,
VANNESSE
Omelia!... Omelia,OMELIA!

10. 3.
Omelia shares no response, but then she then takes out
her phone. Calling someone..
OMELIA
Hey Shay,..ye I know I still can
believe Vannesse died yesterday. I
know it’s sad …
(PAUSE…then with a shocked voice)
VANNESSE
Shay? Shavon?
OMELIA
Wait what you know? I mean. No I
don’t know what you mean, I’ve got
to go
Phone hung up
Vannesse freezes in her track, unable to process what was
just said. We see a tear rolling down her eyes. To then
be transported to a school. Vannesses school, Omelia is
walking down the corridor. Vannesse runs up to her with
authority.
VANESSE
Shouting at the top of her lungs,
I’m not dead, I’m right her.
We are then shown the white screen again, faintly we see
the bully standing over the young girl saying…
BULLY
I hope you die, even your family
won’t care if you went. If you
disappeared, I could easily take
your place as their precious
daughter for you
(Laughs)
We are then back at the school seeing Omilea walking
around the corner VANNESSE FOLLOWS, She walks into the
room and shuts the door behind her. On the door it says
‘out of bounds’. Vannesse follows her and waits outside.
Realising she cannot be seen, she goes inside. A lady in
black is sitting on a chair on a raised floor as if
royalty.

11. 3.
LADY IN BLACK
So your back so soon, was
expecting you to be black no
earlier than at least a week.
OMELIA
I wish I never did what I did, I
can’t take it and it’s only been a
day. Please I want it to change
back to how it was.
LADY IN BLACK
I cannot do that, you asked for
this and you must walk the sin
that you have committed, there is
no atonement that can you bless
you with forgiveness.
OMELIA
No! I cannot take this anymore
please I’ll do or give anything
whatever you want just please
reverse this!

LADY IN BLACK
The mind is a terrible thing to
waste, and you have nothing that
you can give me to satisfy my
needs.
OMELIA
Place me in that position and
reverse it so that everything goes
back to normal, I’m used to being
alone, I have no family, no friend
so I can handle it, I guess that
will be my atonement for my sin.
LADY IN BLACK
Very well, I have been with you
from birth so I know that you have
no one.
From nothing to something to
nothing you shall be. You only
have your demons to speak to now.

12. 3.
Vannesse still in the room, shocked with what she heard.
Feeling sleepy, she falls to the ground as if every last
bit of energy was taken from her.
Scene 5
INT.BEDROOM.DAY
The screen goes black, to then be suddenly shown Vannesse
waking up suddenly in her bed, breathing heavily. Rushing
down stairs without wasting a second, she finds her
family already down stairs waiting for her sitting down.
INT.KITCHEN.DAY
DAD
What took you so long?
Vannesse looking behind her all confused to see if she
was being spoken to.
MOM
(sounding Stressed)
Who are you looking for? We are
talking to you? Hurry up and sit
down!
Vannesse running up to her family, hugging them with long
hugs.
VANNNESSE
(In a soft voice)
I love you guys, please don’t
ignore me again!

13. 3.
Family looking around in confusion. Vannsesse is about to
sit down and then sharply we are shown Omleia walking up
in her bed breathing heavily. Not rushing out of bed, a
tears starts to roll down her eye as she starts to speak
to herself.
OMELIA
I wish I had a family, but I guess
this is reality, and I have to
live with it until my last breathe
Black screen
NARRATOR
A voice over saying something
about the mind and consequences
